Great, solid product; works as advertised
SoftNAS is a great way to bring the benefits of ZFS into an AWS environment. We primarily use it for NFS access and after some tuning, were able to get it to work exactly as we needed.
The team behind the product is very approachable as well. It is great to be able to get specific advice on how to adjust the many available knobs to fit our somewhat unusual use case.

Very Nice Product
A great solution to storage needs on AWS. Performance is excellent and setup easy using the simple web interface but there is also a full API and advanced feature support as well for those that need it.
Recommended.
Outstanding Product and Support
I am usually not a person that writes reviews about products. However, in this case I felt compelled to do so. I was searching for a cloud NAS solution when I came across SoftNAS. During the install I had a few assumptions and contacted their support team to confirm or deny them. All I can say is WOW!. They answered every question I had. Were professional and very fast. They even talked me through some things on AWS and helped educate me all the way. What a top notch organization. Way to go!

Awesome! Best NAS Solution on AWS
SoftNAS HA Cluster has provided me with a trustful backend for my DevOps. I can Integrate my existing AD, and have NFS and CIFS simultaneously to the same data sets, allowing for cross compatibility for my Dev Teams, and applications hosting, or using the Data.
We were using Zadera, and could not find a way to have HA during a crisis. Or have the same data available across Regions.
I have personally been able to purposefully kill a SoftNAS instance, and attach the EBS to a new instance, retaining all my data, and integrity of the services needing the data.

Just what I needed!!
I found Softnas after looking at my options for a Cloud based NAS on AWS. I found that the product was super easy to use and performed quite. Well. Setting up HA took only about 15 minutes most of that was VPC configuration and such. What a great product I wish I would have found it sooner.
Great product backed by exceptional customer service!
We were in a bind and needed some help getting SoftNAS setup ASAP. The co-founder handled our needs personally, and looped in a solid team of support for getting us setup within 2 days time. This really helped us out a lot. During this time, we were educated, and personally assisted remotely to get us up and running with what we needed to do.
Overall, the product has been just what we needed, and I was really blown away by the support.
If you need something to help you with NFS backed by EBS and a fail-safe redundant high durability kind of DRP, look no further than SoftNAS.
These guys know what they are doing, have excellent customer service, and I recommend them highly.

Easy to use nice product!!
I found SoftNAS via a marketplace search and had little expectation prior to launch. However, after using this product for a period of time I have found it to be exactly what I needed. Very easy to use and setup. Excellent set of features. Highly recommend
