What do you like best about the product?
coursera provides many courses which are really useful to me. All the courses have well structured syllabus and is easy to learn here. User interface is very good and easy to search for desire course. Faculties are good and their teaching technique is nice and one can easily understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prices are little bit high. Some trending courses like deep learning and machine learning are not available every time. Some courses have old syllabus as they are not teaching updated syllabus. Better practice material can be provided

Great Product

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using coursera for nearly three years by enrolling in professional development courses. I love the fact that a user has the freedom to both buy or audit the course, which basically means to review the entire course for free. The majority of courses are high quality and the course creators have done an excellent job.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that many courses that I'm interested in enrolling have a specific timeline for completion, which makes it inconvenient sometimes. Also, there needs to be a small test bank with each course to
practice again and retain the material more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use coursera to enroll in professional development courses which allow me to hep students and perform my job more effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Majority of the courses on coursera are either free to audit or around $10 for high quality content, so I would highly recommend you to try out coursera.

What do you like best about the product?
Coursera offers many free coursers on their platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the more advanced courses can be very time consuming for working professionals
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera has helped with continued learning and education as I've advanced in my career
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the wide range of coursers offered on Coursera. Sometimes courses outside your specific area of work (especially ones you are genuinely interested in) can help give you new perspective that can be helpful in your current role - and ultimately your career.

Great way of learning

What do you like best about the product?
The way of accessing the courses and delivering the tasks was very easy. I could have subtitles in videos and download them for offline use. The forums were active. The course was good quality and useful. Lots of courses and a fair free use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, I don't like very much the way they charge you. It's not per course but per subscription. Since I wanted to do only one course, it felt expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to do at all times, easy to access. I wanted to learn HTML CSS and do tasks. I loved the idea that I had to review also my peers work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a lot of courses at the same time, make your money worth it :)

The best platform for quality online learning

  • December 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very well designed, and works well on all of my devices. The quality of the courses is awesome. Real university professors teach many of their courses, and you really feel like you are getting quality education instead of just some "expert" without credentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything offhand, except that sometimes there's so many options I don't know which course to start with!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have transitioned from a business management position to a software management position within the company, and their courses have been invaluable in helping me quickly get up to speed.

high quality courses!

  • December 28, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that, although you can purchase courses (and earn a certificate), you can also audit the courses and access all the information for free. I have only had positive experiences with Coursera courses. The instructors are engaging, and the quizzes and other class supplements help to reinforce topics covered in the lectures. The lectures are well prepared, and they are just long enough to give a good explanation. Most lecture videos are 10-20 mins long. I also appreciate that all the course material is available when you enroll for a course. If you want to skip a section, then you can easily go to a later week and watch the videos on a particular topic. The lecture videos are also very good quality, and navigation through the coursera course system is very intuitive. Finally, I really like that you can download videos / course supplements so you can study even without an internet connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that to get answers to quizzes or have access to peer grading you have to purchase the course. It is somewhat irritating to do the quizzes but never find out your grade. Also, when you first enter the coursera website, it seems like you have to pay for the classes. However, if you click on 'enroll', a tiny check box appears that says 'audit' and that allows you to take the class for free. It is somewhat misleading because it seems like you must pay for course content, which is not true.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Coursera to prepare for other classes (I am a ph.D student), which ultimately has helped my research efforts. Coursera has helped me to gain the knowledge I needed to complete certain aspects of my research. Thus, it has helped me be more productive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Coursera to individuals needing to 'brush up' on topics for school or work. It is especially good for people who already have a job but wish to learn more about a certain topic on their own time. You can watch videos from most devices (e.g. laptop, phone, tablet), and you can even download the videos and watch them without an internet connection. I

Great tool for self-motivated learning

  • December 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the variety of classes offer and the structure of the programs. All of the programs are conducted with high levels of professionalism, and make learning outcomes easy to achieve and understand. The platform itself is also very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The costs associated with the classes can be somewhat prohibitive for self-motivated learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Coursera to supplement my own professional development and content knowledge. It has also been useful when improving my own writing, and picking up new skills/knowledge in personal interest areas.

What do you like best about the product?
Not sure what you want to be when you grow up, even if you already have professional degrees? I love the variety of free and paid courses from renowned educational institutions from around the world. What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. The good far outweighs any negatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
