Gives a clear visibility of the overall system
What do you like best about the product?
Get all things in one place to debug and monitor your whole system
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is very high for a small company like us
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped in checking and improving the latency of our system.
Helped in figuring out slow queries.
Feature rich observability
What do you like best about the product?
The extensive options for integration across services and servers which provide easy overview of my product
What do you dislike about the product?
complicated setup and hard to estimate the cost of using the product, and hard to find out the UI/setting up useful dashboards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us with a unified platform to gain insight into how our software works across the whole suite,
A stable and scalable APM tool that needs to improve its documentation and logging capabilities
What is our primary use case?
Regarding use cases, we use it for app support. So basically, we use the APM module, and we also use it for monitoring.
How has it helped my organization?
It has helped my organization to dive deeper into the application using the APM module is very helpful. So when we're looking for problems of why an app is behaving incorrectly, we can dive deep into it using the APM module.
What is most valuable?
I would have to say the APM module is its most valuable feature.
What needs improvement?
Documentation is one of the biggest things that I have a problem with since its documentation is not clear sometimes.
Logging right now is something I want to improve. So, every log that you have has to have an issue. So logging needs to be probably set right.
I would like to see more logging capabilities in the solution. If they can accept logs, they just can't report. So, I guess reporting on logging is something I want to see in the future.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using New Relic for ten years. Also, I am using the solution's latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability of the product is high.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a very scalable product.
How are customer service and support?
I rate the support a four out of ten. One of my biggest frustrations was related to its support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
New Relic is deployed on the cloud. The ease or complexity of deploying the solution depends on the piece that you're deploying. The app pieces are pretty standard when the infrastructure is more complex.
What was our ROI?
I have not experienced any return on investment using the solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I think it's overpriced for the technical support that we get. We spent over 1,00,000 USD a year.
What other advice do I have?
To those planning to use the solution, I would say to do as much setup as you can upfront with the technical support reps that helped set things up because trying to set it up later is more difficult.
I rate the support a six out of ten.
A great software connecting our entire infrastructure in a single pannel.
What do you like best about the product?
Is easy to install on most platforms and gives a great glimpse into how the platforms works.
When working with codebases that we may not know, it's incredibly useful for making sure they work as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a deployed software has a proxy not monitored in between, it doesn't associate well with the server application and frontend side application.
The per full user license is excessive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to monitor our server and applications to ensure uptime and find improvement and optimizations opportunities
Excellent and diverse infrastructure monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Supports the vast majority of web based and enterprise level infrastructure components from common vendors. Excellent reporting and dashboard level SLA monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is geared towards larger business and may be a hard sell if you don't have that many applications/use-cases. The learning curve for implementation and advanced reporting is high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating client level application monitoring and IT infrastructure monitoring and alerting into one stack. Replaces some notification packages and consolidates monitoring into a single dashboard point of truth.
New Relic is a highly effective monitoring tool that encompasses a wide range of monitoring aspects.
What do you like best about the product?
APM tool has excellent visibility into the application; the infrastructure got very good in the last few years, but yet again the Application performance monitoring still is the best feature in the platform
also very easy to install and get up running
What do you dislike about the product?
Log Management monitoring seems to lack some features, and it's not in the same level as the Application performance monitoring, in addition, lack of good support for incident response and management
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very easy to esplain , utilizing the Application performance monitoring allow us to shift left the monitoring into the developer's hands and let them deal with issues before they get to the production , and in production we can debug issues fast
New Relic for SLA reports
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am able to get the reports I need quickly and can export them to excel with the click of a button. I can then use the data as i need.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I am not able to tell it a time range for the SLA reports, if I am away and I am late to run the report I may lose the information for a day or two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can use new relic for performance monitoring to help track the start time and end time of an issue when a slow down is seen. They can also use it to dial in the cause.
Great SOT on site data and errors!
What do you like best about the product?
My team focuses on NR as a data Source of Truth to compare with our own eventing data. This gives us a separate source built with separate data inputs, allowing us to find breakage in our traditional data pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
The NR interface is very complex, offering a lot of customization and dashboard creation. With this complexity comes a bit of confusion, as it can be difficult to find the data that we need or create new dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic is solving this issue of Data visibility in our tech stack. We use NR as a separate comparison for our site data and to catch errors on the engineering end. New Relic gives us the high-level oversite on errors to tell us when a tag or new script may have broken something.
Monitoring could be easier
What do you like best about the product?
It helps you find issues and investigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation is not very clear.
The graphs sometimes are unreliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

One point for all monitoring requirnments of microservice
What do you like best about the product?
it is amazing tool help me to get the heap throughput from where i can tune my application resiurces as pe the traffic
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support can be improved it takes too much time to get the response
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to monitor my applications and to get the alert when something unexpected is happened. Its response time graph helps me alot to keep my application up and highly available for client
