Faster Implementation of Application Monitoring with Dynatrace SaaS
What do you like best about the product?
Tool implementation and configuring is quite fast as compared to other APM Tools and Dynatrace Appmon.
Dynatrace Licensing is quite simplified and Dynatrace one agent covers monitoring needs for all major technologies available today.
Unnecessary alert storms are avoided and problem notifications are crisp and give good information of root cause and other dependencies causing the issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dynatrace to focus and augment tool's infrastructure monitoring capabilities to cover wide variety of network devices, Unified messaging platforms,links etc.
AIOps capabilities of Dynatrace to be raised to next level and should give why things are broken along with what is broken
Also focus and enhance Database and Batch Jobs Monitoring and make it more simplified.

We are proactively monitoring business critical websites for availability and performance with Dynatrace. Digital Experience Monitoring is helping us to identify the issues of real users along with deep dive into code level details for enhanced analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
Provides powerful insights on production applications across the full stack, Correlation in Problem tickets is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing is complicated.
Sometimes when moving application components across monitored servers, it may wrongly show data correlation.

Monitoring the health of BAU applications improved response and resolution times for Problems. Helps in capacity planning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Provides for monitoring a broad range of technology stack, complete coverage of your stack. Correlation is great and developers love the detailed analysis rather than the typical complaint with symptoms
Good for deep dive analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
That how you get the perfect details and helps to analyse trend for an older time frame. It has definetely helped us to improve our application architecture in terms of hardware as we as API.

Better UI, user action usage, alert configuration, purepath, service flow, hotspots, great customer chat service

No custom dashboards, no custom reports, no proper synthetic reporting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Infrastructure related problems, application traffic problems, custom metrics related problems, solved by good alerting and sample dashlets

Deploy dynatrace on one application, review it with Dynatrace SME, create a generic template and follow it for the rest of the applications

Ease of use, onboarding to Dynatrace and root cause analysis.

Don't know how much performance impact it has on certain technologies.

Identifying the root cause of a problem. Dependencies across services. The benefits we have is able to get the dependency tree and service flow.

The value you get out of the tool is instant. The agents are easy to install and configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional cleanup still needs to be done to reduce noise.

Visibility into the technology health and dependencies.
Great product, but very expensive
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment and updates is phenomenal. AI agent actually works vs just hype. Integration with AWS works great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really the only downside I've found is price. It's very expensive compared to others which means I wasn't able to monitor anything but prod and couldn't take advantage of features like RUM to the degree I would have preferred.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility, monitoring, alerting. Benefits of not having to update agents, pick different agents based on technology stacks, etc. Management zones make breaking things up easy.

Make sure you understand your pricing going in from the beginning
Immediate Wins out of the Box
What do you like best about the product?
As a new user, I appreciate it's support for transaction ids, automatic discovery of services (mesh and otherwise) , inventory, etc which makes it trivial to see some immediate results.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new user, Dynatrace has an extensive feature set and a steep learning curve. Would like to see more breakout sessions focusing on low hanging fruit when first installing and using the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a new user, the product has helped us identify gaps in coverage so to speak; we now know which snowflake servers etc do not have all of the required monitoring agents installed. We've also gathered evidence of specific bottlenecks. The next step is determining which metrics are actually useful to our business.
Robust solution but need to improve business case
What do you like best about the product?
Breadth of services, solution explorer, capacity of generating relevant dashboards with good drill down capacity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price, lack of a good ecosystem of partners in Brazil.

Fast understanding of a problem root cause, information at the right amount to identify next best action.
