Good Product. Amazing Features
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Bright Data is its vast IP pool, which allows users to access data from various sources while maintaining anonymity and avoiding IP blocking. It's a reliable option for web scraping, data collection, and other web-related tasks that require high-quality proxies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Till now, nothing much. Such a service needs high availability of IPs, something they need to stress enough in case they aren't doing already.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many websites implement IP blocking to prevent automated access and scraping, which can be an obstacle for legitimate data collection tasks.
Bright Data may significantly help here, especially when ML teams need to scrape vast amount of data.

Great data outputs - but some iterations necessary to get exactly what you're looking for

Access to data that would otherwise be complicated or unfeasible to access ourselves
Best residential proxy provider
What do you like best about the product?
Bright Data is the best residential proxy provider in the market. Their IPs are super high quality and they barely get blocked. Plus they also have a large pool of IPs. Our account manager, Oxana N. helped us with setting everything up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard could be improved by showing more relevant data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data extraction from websites that block datacenter proxies.

they offer different pricing for various data collection proxy services.
And the price are reasonable.
The internal dashboard is easy to track the recent usage. If I want lower granularity of usage I could even request support to provide corresponding logs
in case the unblocker fails to scrape what I want. Their support is responsive in answering my question.
All my questions in recent weeks were solved perfectly by either fixing in their end or suggestion of other data products.
Moreover, the pool of IP is sufficient for me to do large scraping. I could do ~ 1M page scraping in same domain without getting blocked after using residential proxy.
And the price are reasonable.

documentation is a bit limited when I want to integrated with selenium during web scraping.

The Bright Initiative is an excellent program, and its services are crucial to our data-driven strategies for our industry. Web data collection through Bright Data has proven quick, reliable, and scalable. They are GDPR-compliant, so we haven't had to worry about legal backlash. Submitting requests for managed data collectors is intuitive and easy, and the people we have worked with are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Bright Data have made our data collection needs effortless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bright Data's IDE help and documentation are limited for those looking to develop their own data collectors for the cost-effective solution of paying per page load for small projects where a managed collector is not worth the price. The templates are only helpful for those specific sites, so it can be difficult to tailor to custom datasets.

Bright Data has allowed us to automate, scale, and integrate data collection effortlessly with our business intelligence tools and pre-existing data infrastructure. Web data collection has enabled data-driven strategies which were previously not viable due to a lack of consistent and timely data.
Rich Well-Structured datasets, Excellent Support

The datasets are very well structured, making information retrieval very easy. The dataset is a fantastic and quick alternative if one needs public data at scale.

The data is pretty neat. None that I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are researchers from Indian School of Business (ISB) and we got access to Bright Data’s LinkedIn dataset. It contains web information from millions of public LinkedIn profiles, which makes it a rich source for conducting management research. The datasets are very well structured, making information retrieval very easy. Each profile has unique identifiers, which enables filtering/ linking of subsets and getting a comprehensive screenshot for each individual and firm. The dataset is a fantastic and quick alternative if one needs public data at scale.
Additionally, I had a wonderful experience working with their account manager, Daniel Piaskowski and their backend development team. They considered our feedback and incorporated a new filter in the dataset, which helped us filter records more precisely. They have been highly responsive and timely with their data delivery. The data has contributed hugely to our research.

Bright data is great
What do you like best about the product?
I work with Bright as part of the Bright Initiative, a university partnership program. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Bright to anyone looking to perform web scraping. Since using Bright, I've never had to worry about IP bans, captcha challenges, or webmasters reporting my university for 'malware' access to their sites. Bright's proxy is dependable, fast, and simple to configure. Their support team is responsive and knowledgeable, making it easy to resolve any issues that may arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
They upgraded their documentation page making it harder to find the sample code than before. Hopefully, they will fix this soon.
