Catchpoint for synthetic user monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
Highly flexible and self-service oriented. Good scheduling abilities. Easy to understand billing model. Excellent coverage (node distribution across globe.) Ability to check DNS and routing alongside synthetic
user monitoring. Good integration with third party alerting tools. Easy to understand reports when issues occur offering complete drill down to root cause of issues. Option to host private on-prem and cloud node endpoints allow for use bother within network borders and not just external.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alerts could be more user customizable. Currently the format for alert email and API calls are relatively fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthetic user monitoring of web applications and APIs. Using Catchpoint it is easy to see and understand impacts to users in field.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We found the tool to far exceed our initial use estimates and have ended up utilizing ity far more than we did with keynote because it was so easy to add new tests that we discovered all new use cases.

What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface. It's very intuitive and easy to use. Also, with points, you can use any features available as part of the monitoring.

The point based pricing model is simple and straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if they have real user measurement data besides the synthetic data, that will increase the sample size and enhance the accuracy.
It would be great if they can share the benchmark data with the customers for benchmarking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to monitor the availability and uptime of our content delivery infrastructure. Catchpoints' pop ping our cdn pops across the globe to check the uptime, availability and Quality of Service. We can also use catchpoint for a customer specific monitoring.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1. Try it for a month, Their sales and pre-sales team is well competent and helpful.
2. Be careful to use catchpoint for the applications you want to monitor as any additional monitoring will consume the points from the pool.
