Clear, Reliable Network Monitoring from a Single Dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Paessler PRTG is the visibility it gives into network and system health from a single dashboard. Most of the common monitoring use cases are available out of the box, and the alerting helps catch issues early instead of finding out when something breaks. For regular, day-to-day monitoring, it works reliably and doesn’t need a lot of manual effort once the setup is done. The implementation was fairly smooth in my case, and after that it’s been easy to use on a regular basis. Integrations are simple enough to work with, and overall it’s been a dependable tool for our monitoring needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved is the initial setup and configuration, which can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for users who are not very technical. It takes some time to fine-tune alerts properly to avoid unnecessary notifications. The interface, while functional, could also be more intuitive in certain areas, particularly when navigating more detailed settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Paessler PRTG helps solve the problem of having to monitor multiple systems and devices separately. Instead of manually checking different tools or dashboards, it provides a centralized view of network and system health. This makes it easier to identify issues early, respond faster to incidents, and reduce downtime. Overall, it improves visibility and saves time compared to more manual monitoring approaches.

Centralized dashboard has improved server monitoring and now reduces downtime for our team
What is our primary use case?
We use PRTG Network Monitor to monitor our sensors. We created a dashboard for our particular sensors which is critical, and those sensors show in the same dashboard. Whenever they do fail, it shows in red.
What is most valuable?
PRTG Network Monitor offers a single-pane dashboard where we can monitor all the servers on one single screen. We can monitor all the servers with a single eye, which helps our team to detect a failed server quickly. Earlier we used to monitor those servers manually one after each, but now we can monitor those servers in a single dashboard easily. This saves our team time checking each server manually, which in turn also reduces downtime.
What needs improvement?
