Streamlined Data Magic, A Must-Have
What do you like best about the product?
I love Domo because it's such a great tool, simple to use with a wide capability to connect to your data wherever it resides. The Magic ETL is unbelievable and instrumental in taking raw data and preparing it for visualization and actionability. The Work Flow component is very powerful and impressive. I like that I can connect to our source data platforms, extract data easily, transform it, and visualize it in both App and Dashboard formats all within Domo, eliminating the need for multiple software platforms. The presence of over 1,000 connectors is fantastic, and the ability to build custom connectors gives tremendous capability. The extract, transform, and visualize tools provide a simple path to convert raw data into actionable insights quickly. I found the initial setup of Domo to be very easy and efficient, being able to get started and have workflows and Apps in place swiftly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm on a learning curve in using the workflow module, but with more time using it, I expect it to be as friendly and easy to use as the rest of the Domo platform. I would like to see the grid type format that has been added to Magic ETL be added to the workflow module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo simplifies connecting, extracting, transforming, and visualizing data all in one platform, speeding up the process from concepts to actionable insights in hours or days. It supports client self-service with secure data permissions and integration, enhancing my team's data delivery to clients.
Effortless Data Visualization and Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Domo for its excellent visualization of graphs. It's very easy and quick to find data within specific ranges. These features are super helpful in preparing for presentations and QBRs with my team. Also, the initial setup of Domo was very easy.

I use Domo for data analysis in workforce management. The graphs and data visualization help my team quickly access data and prepare for presentations and QBRs.
Easy to Use, Highly Customizable
What do you like best about the product?
I use Domo for my job as a BI analyst, and it helps us pull data from all our different sources and display it in a clean way all in one place. I love how easy it is to use and learn. It has been really valuable because if Domo doesn’t natively have a visualization I’m looking for, I can build a custom one. I enjoy that Domo gives us the ability to create our own apps inside of it. I've built a custom home page, custom visualizations, and many other things using pro code apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see some more governance around App Studio apps, specifically mapping app pages to the parent app and the ability to give users access to specific pages within the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo helps pull data from different sources and displays it cleanly in one place. It's easy to use and learn, allows building custom visualizations, and supports creating own apps within Domo.
Empowers with AI, Needs Stability Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Domo for its pre-built connectors which allow me to be agile in bringing in data the same day. I also find the AI capabilities valuable as they enable me to create personalized automated summaries.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Domo can be glitchy and that needs to be fixed. Creating cards in apps is a lot trickier than it was prior. We are on the Domo beta and the updates are causing me when I edit in analyzer to open a new tab and I do not like that.

Domo solved integration issues for me. The pre-built connectors allow me to be agile in bringing in data the same day, and AI capabilities enable me to create personalized automated summaries.

Ease of creating dashboards and extracting insights through intuitive data exploration. The ability to easily connect a wide variety of data sources via connectors that simplify integration.

Sometimes it is necessary to create custom visualizations and graphs, but this requires coding skills on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to create dashboards to integrate multiple data sources or visualize the output of analyzing large amounts of data from the data lake house, allowing different departments to easily gain insights.

Unlocks Powerful Analytics with Effortless Usability
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use once you understand how to use it. It has opened up VERY useful analytics for us and our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to learn. I am self taught with no domo univeristy, videos, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to show our customers their data visually so they can make more informed business decisions.
Powerful Features, Less advanced Visualizations
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Domo a lot and find its user interface to be incredibly friendly and easy to use, while still offering advanced features that other tools might not have. Compared to other visualization and transformation tools I've used, such as Power BI and Tableau, Domo stands out. I am especially impressed with the ability to use Python, R, and Jupyter Notebooks. Domo supports advanced users with an impressive list of features, yet it remains simple enough for beginners, making it a versatile tool for any skill level. Additionally, the automation capabilities Domo provides in managing tasks like PDP creation, unsharing, sharing, and data archiving are commendable, allowing a small admin team to efficiently manage the system. The setup for new users can be easily automated as well, making Domo straightforward and easy to manage once it's operational.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one aspect of Domo that I find could use improvement is the out-of-the-box visualizations. While they are good, they tend to be a bit basic in terms of their default configurations. Unlike Power BI, which offers highly customizable visualizations, Domo's default options don't always allow for fine-tuning to the extent I desire. Although creating custom visualizations is possible, it often requires coding, which demands time and effort I'm reluctant to spend. Additionally, I wish there was more robust security around app pages in Domo. This feature is relatively new in Domo, and while I expect it to improve over time, currently it lacks some security measures I'd prefer.

I use Domo to create dashboards and resolve data discrepancies. It helps search for PII and automate data masking, enhancing data accuracy before impacting downstream teams.
