Great visualizations and sharing data
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Great visualizations. Sharing content is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better controls/governance. Hard to manage Exiting employees who have created content with their own user logins (e.g., Google Sheets, Omniture).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting the business to dig deeper into the data and share what they've learned in an easy to use tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Establish good training for new users to increase adoption.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pull and merge data from multiple sources and display easily consumable information for a wide audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is somewhat limited in customization of charts and tables
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving lack of knowledge on specific items like benefits, workers compensation, and margin discipline. We are seeing significant returns through high user engagement from upper and lower management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definitely provides value added to the business, and to ensure you are in contact with Domo or a consultant for the set up and use.

What do you like best about the product?
The Redshift n R Plugins give me so much power to manipulate data and to prepare it for reporting.

Some of the functionalitites for card buiding lack options.

mostly creating cards to get insight into day to day operations.

I would recommend more follow-up and interaction with customer account manager

i like domo workbench and it becomes more and more powerful. also redshift provides more option on sql and data transformation.

i hope domo can improve dashboards and beast mode organization.

create cards to show different windows for advance purchase and help customers to save their spending on travel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
improve bease mode for easy access and troubleshoot. it's better to have a dictionary so that it's easier to locate where beast mode is. also not only syntax error warning but also provide more detail on errors.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use DOMO. Coming from an organization that used POWER BI, DOMO is worth the investment. The data visualization organization in DOMO is simple and everyone in the organization regardless of their background can use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain capabilities in DOMO are lacking when compared to Tableau. The drilling functionality in cards makes it difficult to show insights in a single card. One often has to create multiple cards to show simple stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to further the BI culture within our organization and we are getting close to making Travel Alberta use DOMO in every business unit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When compared to Tableau or Power Bi, Domo is definitely a user friendly option
Long wait for it to be usable, but worth it
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to switch between SQL and ETL depending on what my needs are. I really love using workbench. Graphs available to use are great, and building dashboards and cards is really easy. Once the data is cleaned it doesn't take much effort to make something nice and functional, which I love! It takes a lot to get started if you have data like we do, but the effort is totally worth it in the end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Waited months for our connector to be updated even though we were told the connector would be up to date (was about 3 years out of date). Couldn't really use DOMO for over half a year until that was fixed, which was frustrating. Have to pull literally every single field in using the connector so editing it can be time consuming, but at least it is fairly easy to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DOMO for every aspect of our business, from procurement to sales to logistics/ops. It's great to pull the data in one single location and have the tools to manipulate data so quickly.

Make sure your main connector is up to date and working before you sign on.
Domo has transformed our work process, making development much easier and faster
What do you like best about the product?
Domo has a low barrier of entry for development skills. Entry level developers with SQL and visualization skills can jump in to the platform and start developing within weeks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the governance components. There is too much freedom for people to move/copy and destroy existing infrastructure. Some more rules and policies would be very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to have more parts of the business know more about their environment. We have realized a much faster development cycle, and a truly agile development timeline.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy visualizations that quickly communicate data to those outside of marketing. Everyone can understand how our business is doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything in particular. Everything has been pretty great so far!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to spend all day building/updating graphs in excel! And then when I want to present data, I can easily export a slide deck. Our CEO also loves it because I can build her customized dashboards that show her exactly the data she wants to see on a daily basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do all of the online training! It makes the learning curve considerably easier to manage.
