Powerful and easy to use, with a few limitations
What do you like best about the product?
1. Ease of use: I was able to quickly come in and operate Domo.
2. Magic ETL: My favorite feature is the Magic ETL. I can wrangle and manipulate the data in all sorts of ways to get it just the way I need it.
3. Beast Modes and fixed functions: What can't be done in ETL (or needs to be done on the spot) can be accomplished with Beast Modes in the vizulization. Fixed functions allow you to stack aggregations (sums of sums, sum of maxes, etc)

What do you dislike about the product?
For instance, yesterday I was creating a pivot table and needed the cells to change color based on whether the dollar amounts met a specific threshold. Although there are several ways to change cell colors, I encountered some challenges. Initially, I attempted to use the color preference feature, but it required the cell to contain an exact value. I had a beast mode that categorized values as “Met expectations” or “Did not meet expectations,” and I wanted to highlight the dollar amounts in red or green accordingly. However, I could only color code based on the dollar amount itself. Given the variability in thresholds and the impracticality of specifying every possible dollar amount, this approach was not feasible.
Next, I tried embedding the color change in HTML within the beast mode, which typically works, but it was ineffective in a pivot table. I then attempted to use green and red square emojis (🟩 and 🟥) concatenated with the dollar amount as a visual cue. While this provided a color signal before the dollar amount, it did not change the text color and resulted in the loss of comma separators for thousands. Although I could have programmed the beast mode to include these separators, time constraints prevented me from doing so. Ultimately, I opted for a separate column: one displaying the green and red emojis and another showing the dollar amount. This solution, while functional, was not ideal.

Domo offers quick and customizable charts suitable for users of various functions, along with impressive ETL and drill-down capabilities.
Easy to use and share
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create dynamic visualizations and reports that appeal to all user levels in our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Domo provides a fantastic suite of tools, it would be great to have a more personalized customer experience when in need of support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personalizing reports is extremely important - the permissions and accessibility options for data and reports is extremely dynamic allowing us to create content at the user level.
Domo is a fantastic product that enables my team to control everything we need for our data.
What do you like best about the product?
Domo is world-class as controlling your data. From bringing data into the tool, transforming it, creating cards (pivot tables/pivot charts), and sharing those cards with executives and business partners, Domo makes this intuitive and quick. The implementation of Domo is easy and you can continue to add more datasets over time. Integrating our datasets is simple enough as they work with RedShift and PostgreSQL. This ease keeps me in Domo every day, and somedays I find myself in Domo more than Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Domo has continued to innovate and create new features that puts in parity with competing products like Tableau. I don't have any dislikes about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our executives and business partners expect up-to-date data when making decisions. Without Domo, we would be making manual updates in Excel or Google sheets, which is not scalable with the number of datasets Domo updates for us each day. Also, many of our datasets have millions of rows, which already makes it able to do things I wouldn't be able to do otherwise.
Great Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like it allows you to create dynamic dashboards where you can play around with the information you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not an easy platform to learn how to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps us to analyze business trends and understand what is going on in the market.
The most robust data and advanced analytics platform.
What do you like best about the product?
No code ETLs, no code machine learning and AI. No code configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some people can think it is pricey but when you look at ROI, Domo is one of the most cost effective tools on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating KPIs, calculating and delivering tips for 5,000 employees, generating journal entries for NetSuite, calculating accruals for NetSuite, generating labor forecasts.
Easy to navigate dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to find the reports I am looking to use. I use it often for my line of work due to me needing to check we are hitting targets. I like the favourite feauture and how I can adjust filters if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to create reports easier. Seems like only data analyst are able to do so as it requires some more expertise knowledge.

I am able to track KPIs and how people are performing and who should my team prioritize

There are so many different ways to combine and display different data types.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is steep (knowing where to go to do different functions). But once you do it enough, you get the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo provides lots of interesting and creative chart types to display data. The integration of Domo with other platforms is seamless, allowing us to create useful dashboards for both internal and external use.
Excellent full service data solution
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is great for both low code and pro-code individuals. Have low in-house technical expertise, the learning curve for domo is relatively low and you have large capabilities with magic ETL and building visualizations.
Connecting outside data sources is a breeze with their built in connectors (outside of MS Office), and domo will provide support when creating new connectors.
The tools works best as a daily driver for your analytics needs. A place to push all disparate data source and manipulate the data for them to work together.

What do you dislike about the product?
Products have become more buggy since the introduction of app studio in April of 2024. Training is good for the core product but it is difficult to find education on new products/tools. This makes the adoption process much slower and can create gaps in how useful the products are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo allows me to evaluate business data from multiple sources in a singular place. After transforming, I can further develop provacative reports and display them in innovative and thought provoking manners.
A good tool for keeping track of goals
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to access statistics from several sources to see expenses, sales, etc for each of the locations that I am in charge. Domo displays the information in easy-to-read graphs and helps me to be able to present the information.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to be very SQL intensive so we have to have SQL administrators to make sure that the right databases are connected and providing proper input.

Data visibility & Reporting. Domo helps me overcome data visibility challenges by connecting to a wide variety of data sources, such as spreadsheets, databases, and social media. Domo automates reporting processes, which allows me to make faster, better-informed decisions and spend less time gathering information and creating reports.
Great visualization and data analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Domo is super easy to use and allows us to create beautiful dashboards. At Entrata, we use Domo throughout the business every day. The integrations google sheets, adaptive, netsuite, etc. make it easy to connect data. The magic ETL function is great for those who are new or unpracticed with SQL and even has capabilities beyond SQL. Domo continually adds new functions and features all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features that I would like to see added, such as conditional formatting (based on other columns), but overall, the product is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us with our data analytics. We've uncovered all sorts of business issues, which helped improved gross margin significantly.
We also use Domo across the business for tracking KPIs and digging deeper on growth drivers.
