Powerful Tag Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Tealium IQ is great for managing not only standard marketplace tags but also custom solutions. Comes with great support team that responds promptly to solve issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to delegate tag management to non-tech individuals. Lack of workflow process management features to allow approvals to publish changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes managing multiple marketing tags from different stakeholders easy. Implement custom javascript solutions to solve complex issues.

Powerful Alternative
What do you like best about the product?
More powerful, flexible and customizable than alternatives, especially free ones

Can have a bit of a learning curve for non-technical users

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of integrating the pixels and connecting them with your site. Also, it has a great collection of ready to add pixels without creating manually
What do you dislike about the product?
Still needs a lot of automation work. Even though it has a lot of existing pixels that are ready to add, it still needs some manual effort to add them to your site and configure
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Site code looks a lot cleaner now with Tealium doing all the dirty work behind the screens
Solid Tag Management alternative to GTM
What do you like best about the product?
Tealium has proved to be a good alternative to other tag containers on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some templates are outdated and require additional time to be spent implementing tags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Site tagging for multiple vendors.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
User interface is easy to navigate, tags are easily implemented using built in templates which can be found for most large ad vendors.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a very easy to use tag management solution! Reporting is great as well, which makes it easier to show value to management and justify costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The event tracking and the modular tracking isn't the best and requires lot of custom code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Website visits and especially product page analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it depends on your use case when selecting between tealium or a different company like google tag manager, if it is not a super complicated use case, tealium does the job.

What do you like best about the product?
Platform is plug N play and easy to access and utilize and integrate into your own analytics tools and platform
What do you dislike about the product?
We did experience one downtime on the platform this year but it was only down for just over an hour.

AudienceStream CDP allows us to do real time analytics of our overall Marketing effectiveness is specific channels and segments

Make sure that you've set aside enough development and implementation time on the front end and use Tealiums integrated professional services whenever possible

What do you like best about the product?
It provides the capability to group disparate data source into meaningful customer profiles, so it make customization of customer experience possible. Besides it is very easy to integrate different data source and set up different attributes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see it add the "call to action" features and alerts. All users to set up "call to action" based on attribute triggers. Once call to action triggers, it send alerts. This way, it builds a strong connection between findings and actions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very useful to understand customer experience and behavior throughout the journey. It also enable easy testing the effectiveness of marketing campaign and and customer success actions, what works, what doesn't work for each profile group.
Great Flexibility, Good Connectivity
What do you like best about the product?
The ways I can define my own attributes and enhance my incoming data. It has a lot of data types that you can map. I really like the rules you can create to map incoming data to plain english descriptors so that many different users can benefit from the enrichments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of connection to Adobe services for email events. The current connector to ACS uses an older way of connecting to Adobe's API and it hasn't been useful to us. The customer service has been great though and has engaged with us along the way to find solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are stitching data from multiple sources on a Google ID and pushing it back out to targeted ads. We are exploring adding even more data sources so that we can enrich our customer experiences even more. We would love to see Tealium support our email efforts in providing targeted email content to our users based on the enrichments we've made in Tealium.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think about what you would use it for and make sure it has the audience connector you need. It is a great tool if you have the use-case. We are using it primarily to push ads on Google platforms to users we've seen on Google platforms and drive retention and re-engagement. We also have a team of people including developers, analysts, ad experts and strategists who are working to get the most out of this product.

What do you like best about the product?
It is the whole source of truth for our product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to handle the tag calls sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tealium for tracking and it helps to see how is our traffic flow. We get a good understand of our product and what is working for our users
Great for enhanced detail
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Tealium IQ is the organization of detail on the Tealium dash. We use the categorization of detail to track tags by tactic, by date and by depth. We ladder all of this into our data hub and use this a few different ways
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a good news/bad news situation for the things we wish that were better. The more you use the tool then the more difficult it becomes sometimes to section the data. The number of badges you set up can be tough to manage - but it does require some full time hands to use it and understand it. We wish there was a cleaner way to categorize - but its not that bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to look beyond what a typical tag and tracker system can do. We use it to see much more holistically the pathing of the user to get to the site as well as the ability to group users together. Not just X number of users landed on this page.... we actually can see the whole picture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with your Tealium account account team to get the set up that fits your organization. The cost is worth it... they also offer lots of detail and info to pass along to your finance team so that the costs are fully explained.
