Excellent Tool for a 360 view of Customer

  • November 12, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to understand a user across multiple domains including offline data is really powerful. The interface is easy to use and allows to launch projects quickly. I also have nothing but good things to say about the entire team at Tealium. Everyone from sales, onboarding, to support is fantastic and really cares about our business and success.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish testing across devices and browsers was easier. There use to be an extension in Firefox and Chrome that allowed this, but the Firefox extension is no longer available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking to have more sophisticated website traffic segmentation and better understand how users were engaging online across multiple sessions. Thanks to the great integrations available in AudienceStream with vendors such as Facebook, we've been able to deliver a better client experience, save marketing dollars, and have a much better idea of our customer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't come into AudienceStream with a rigid roadmap because you will learn a lot during implementation. Knock out your first use case, and use your learnings to iterate and come up with your next projects.

Audience stream is critical for connecting click stream data to marketing platforms

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Audience stream allows us to create audience segments and to pass data into marketing and CRM platforms that drive leads and allow for personalized marketing
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally a vendor is not in the connection marketplace. It would be nice to be able to create a folder structure for managing the inventory of event, visit and visitor attributes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audience stream has allowed our marketing teams to hyper target events that they are interested and place that information in front of sales. This capability has lead to lead nuturing initiatives that would not otherwise have been possible.

AudienceStream - For digital marketeers and technologists

  • June 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we get to learn about customer behavior and can take specific actions, and adjust to what works and what doesn't. We use a customer first centric approach to everything we do so this is a powerful tool for us. Thank you Tealium.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I'd like to see is Tealium do more on is AMP. There are workarounds (iframe) - not preferred so I'd like to see Tealium innovate on this front and catch up with GTM. I know it's on the Tealium roadmap already so that's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can focus on the business problem at hand and spend time on the actions rather than the aggregation of data for customer behavior understanding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you get past the learning curve, it's a powerful product.

  • May 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to stitch users behaviroal activity whether they are recognize or not is one of the most helpful feature about AudienceStream CDP. One of the many upside of using Tealium AudienceStream CDP is the ability allow Marketing Team to self serve and saving service hours from BI team to tackle other challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
the only downside I can think of is having so much dependency on one vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During Covid-19 we have used Tealium to create audience based on user's experience Good, bad and Neutral. We are also solving cross device stitching and cross selling.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Functional and Budget Friendly

  • May 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for the system to ingest any data through the event-based architecture makes it incredibly functional. Additionally the pricing is very fair. When all other CDPs were quoting us 6-figure price tags, Tealium came in well under the $100,000 mark. The pricing structure is very fair as the main cost component is events, so the price increases only as you grow.

The large number of connections to third party platforms is awesome, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it wasn't strictly event-driven. Meaning I wish there was a way to add badges, or metrics to users based on past events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved a number of problems with Tealium but the biggest benefit is that we've begun to reduce data silos. Having a single place of orchestrating customer data has helped so much. Additionally it has given marketers the ability to pass data into various activation platforms.

Unlocking an Audience for all platforms

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love the ability to make audiences and get those audiences out to all the different marketing platforms and data repositories that we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The rules engine can be complicated, but that is also why it's so powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In real time - all our of marketing platforms can now share the same audience groups. This allows our messaging to remain consistent for a customer during specific phases of the journey, and adjust in real time when they move into another stage.

The foundation of your MarTech stack

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a great way to bring all of your first party data together into a single data hub, clean your data so you are operating from a clean database, and create actions based on that data. We have investigate many of them and it is the best system on the market for consolidating your first party data into one place. It also has a simple, easy to use interface. Finally, once it is setup, it is fairly simple for non-technical people to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to truly get the benefit of the system, you need all of the modules including AudienceStream, EventStream, DataAccess, IQ, and now Predict. It is difficult to separate out AudienceStream on its own and can get pricey with all of the modules. Also, to install Tealium IQ, the tag manager, it can be time consuming since both the universal tag and the data objects need to placed in the body of each page on your website rather than in a global header.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest issue we were trying to solve was connecting all of our data silos into a single, 360 view of the customer. We have non-standard products we use for tracking sales information and other data. Tealium finally allowed us to see how our marketing activities were impacting sales results. Also, it helped greatly improve our personalization across marketing channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an intensive roll out. Please be sure to prep your web team for a lot of work to implement the tags and data objects. However, they do provide a dedicated team and implementation tools that help significantly.
