What do you like best about the product?
OnBase is an overall GREAT software application! The capabilities available in Workflow and Workview are incredible for automating manual processes !!

I have been in Information Technology for over 20yrs, and the Customer Support I receive from Hyland is FAR better than any other software vendor I have ever worked with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes for OnBase. I've worked with the product for almost three years, and I am grateful to be on this team!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a subsidiary that is using OnBase for their invoicing, as well as their travel and contracts. Our Corporate Finance, Legal and HR all utilize OnBase for automating requests and approvals. Our Information Security team is using it to manage their File Transfer process. We are getting new requests from all areas of the company to automate manual processes.

Onbase is a powerful product to assist organizations in developing staff workflows that stream lines worflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the product has such robust tools teams need to have understood how the product is configured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to automate document capture and index has greatly benefited our organization

What do you like best about the product?
The versatility. OnBase is a highly-configurable content & process management solution that can fit into nearly any enterprise ecosystem. The content management core is robust, and the array of additional tools and modules offered build on top of it in such a way that it can fit almost any business process need imaginable.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the number of modules and configurability on offer, it's possible to get lost in the technical weeds when fine-tuning the solution. Making the most of OnBase's integration capabilities requires knowledgeable software developers. This need is lessened if your organization has an investment in other solutions for its industry which OnBase has first-party integrations with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We leverage OnBase for records management and retention across multiple business units. Its document storage, classification, and retrieval capabilities supplement multiple line-of-business systems to assist with information sharing across the enterprise. We also leverage OnBase's Electronic Plan Review module to supplement our permitting and licensing solution, enabling quicker turnaround of development project reviews. OnBase's Agenda Management module allows us to live-stream, archive, and cross-reference content for our public boards and commissions.

What do you like best about the product?
OnBase platform is very flexible for implementing complex Insurance solutions. It helped to implement the scanning and document ingestion needs. It also helped to implement secure document management needs. OnBase facilitated the document distribution needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no significant dislikes from a usability and functionality perspective. There are areas of improvement for administration and change management as well as change migration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OnBase solved document ingestion problems through scanning, MFP, email, and ad-hoc upload. OnBase helped with the implementation of secure storage of document repositories. OnBase facilitated display and distribution of documents.

What do you like best about the product?
OnBase provides a single point of access for documents within the organization and is a launch point for workflow management related to documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenge I see is making sure to stay current with the capabilities of the solution to ensure you are getting the maximum value from the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminating the need for paper document retention. The benefit is the reduction in storage cost and user experience.

What do you like best about the product?
OnBase is a toolbox that is built to the customer's needs. We have added many tools through the years and have developed many business solutions that helped automate processes. The ability for business users find documents with self-service is a MUST. Community support is available to reach out to other customers and Hyland associates when a solution or issue is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Waiting for a response from support when there is a critical issue. The support team is good but some of my solutions are unique and need specific skill sets to resolve. There is an escalation process available that I have used before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OnBase has many applications. SAP integration was key to the original selection of OnBase.
- AP Invoice automation and SAP integration - user access to invoices and associated documents in one repository. Ability to access documents directly from SAP
- AR process automation by creating Unity Forms to drive requests and speed entry with accurate data. Prior to this solutions, emails were used for requests which often contain inaccurate data
- Regulatory Documents self-service access. Migrating documents from secured shared folders to OnBase allowed secured access and team members to view and retrieve documents without having to send a request to the Regulatory team.
- Capital Expense Requests - automated the approval workflow process and ability to view status and access to documentation
- Export Orders - management of specific export order types and required document tracking
- Vendor Master data management - new requests and updates with an approval process. A future step will be to automate the entry into SAP at the completion of the approved request.

What do you like best about the product?
OnBase allows users to retrieve and review documents/reports in one convenient, easy-to-use place. The process was very manual before OnBase implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't have any general dislikes about the OnBase product. The support at Hyland has been lacking for the last couple of years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OnBase took a very manual process and automated it. Documents were sent to a centralized imaging department by branches. Sometimes these would get lost in transit. Now documents are uploaded directly to OnBase with no turn around time for imaging. Users are able to retrieve information more accurately and very quick now.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can view documents that have been uploaded in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything about Onbase that I have learned so far.

I am solving eligibility problems for clients by allowing them to submit proper documentation through a portal to Onbase so that their eligibility can be determined easily and quickly. There are many benefits to this.
