Being a cloud backup. Simple to install and has saved me several times
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at All. It is great. It did take a little while to learn all of the in and outs of the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the assurance that you have a cloud backup of your server.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Insync is another great product that Druva offers

Comprehensive Endpoint and Mobile Backup Solution

  • August 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Backups occur in the background with no impact to the end user. The product suite is comprehensive and covers end point devices to include laptops, desktops, smartphones, and tablets. Data loss prevention tools, compliance settings and secure backups to a FedRamp-authorized cloud make this tool essential for backing up critical data especially for government customers. Very easy to setup and deploy in an environment with federated search capabilities when responding to e-discovery requests. The product integrates well with MDM solutions to include MobileIron and has integrations with SAML and ADFS to federated login. inSync also has integrations with Splunk for SIEM log management to integrate with any process workflows that are currently in use within your organization. Not having to maintain software or hardware was another benefit since this is an entirely SaaS product. Another thing that I liked about Druva inSync was that it did have an intuitive user interface, which was easy to use and understand from the get go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup took some getting used to but the learning curve was minimal. Having an understanding of the process and workflow was easy to follow and the options for customization were endless, which may overwhelm some, but overall it was better to have more options than none. The OS migration and data refresh did take some getting used to initially, but once you get the hang of it, the process was easy to use and follow. More reporting/alerting capabilities would be appreciated, but the overall user interface was intuitive and easy to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we were solving with Druva inSync was an enterprise backup solution for endpoint devices. In addition, the benefits of e-discovery and federated search made this an ideal solution. The benefits were realized whenever a user's hard drive failed and we had to do a local restore from backup. The user was up and running in no time with all settings and data files in tact minimizing the time to restore to just hours.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendations would be to plan and gather requirements from all your stakeholders to include user support, security, policy, and legal. Once you gather their requirements in terms of data retention and storage, it will make implementing and setting the settings in the admin console a breeze.

A very good backup solution which is easy to deploy and manage.

What do you like best about the product?
We like how simple it is to deploy and manage. It also places a limited load on the client's processor. The cloud options are also a welcome addition. We like the data discovery and retention as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything we dislike about this product. It has been used many times to recover critical files for our users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a need to maintain backups for all of our travelers. Druva makes it easy to happen while people are on the road. Our support team also uses Druva backups to help build new client computers for existing users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to look at all of the cloud options. There are a number of things you can do with the backups once they are in place.

Excellent Backup Software

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use, everything you need is in the Dashboard. One or two clicks and you're where you need to be. No need to click on each tab to find what you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
We only use the inSync however our dashboard loads the phoenix and CloudRanger which we don't use. sometimes it takes some time to load,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup size and with endpoint devices. We were hesitant to get a new backup software during Covid and everyone working from home. However, the initial backup was a success. Users were not aware of the full backup initial copy. We were able to throttle the bandwidth and select backup locations by location. We have users from India backing up to Mumbai and there were no issues.

Easy to setup, versatile application with great DLP tools

  • August 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Client side ease of sign in and use; ease of SSO Setup.
Ability to differentiate what backs up by OS.
Legal Hold capabilities and the option to have a cheaper "preserved" user is huge and something other backup solutions don't offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation on the website isn't 100% clear/adequate, but their solution engineers are definitely available and willing to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needing to back up computer's of offboarded/furloughed employees and not having them at the full cost of a "backed up" user like other backup solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out!

Easy installation. The user installation an be moved to a new device very easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
50gb user limit is ok for most but some a/v users require more space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
if a hard drive crashes or system fails or if a device is lost the we usually get the most important folders back.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it and you will like it.

What do you like best about the product?
Peace of mind. I was slow to adopt to "cloud" solutions, but it has been great thus far.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface was a little tricky at first to figure out between insync an phoenix interface at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I also have a VEEAM solution in play for my backup and replication to my co-lo and I have come to realize that Phoenix is a much more cost effective solution.

Seamless transition to cloud based backup

  • August 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it was to set up to very quickly get our Office 365 system and all email accounts backed up. The onboarding for servers was also painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to back up some of our servers, our large data stores are not completing in the necessary window. This is just for initial backup, but we would like to see a progress bar or something indicating how far along it is on the initial backup so we know based on the current window, it will take x number of windows to complete the initial backup of the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lacked backup of our Office 365 environment and with the adoption of MS Teams we needed something to protect the documents being placed in the online system. We have also been struggling with backing up some of our data servers because every snapshot would do a full backup due to how the files save into the system. We had different systems for backup based on office size. Druva allowed us to consolidate the backup into one product that is very easy to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the POC and see if it will work for your workloads. The ease of install and management was what put Druva over the top.

Druva Phoenix from School Distric aspect

  • July 29, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best parts of working wth Druva Pheonix was (not lying) Pre-Sales. When I was shopping around I had three candidates (one being Druva) and won the bid. Why did they win. PRICING was so attractive for a school setting and the company understood my needs in a district with limited funding. They were so creative they gave more functions to allow the migration to happen on our terms. Lastly, the Pre sales engineer assisted (literally hand held) how to setup and made sure all aspects were covered. This is stellar service in it self! As for the product it just works!
What do you dislike about the product?
At first I did not care for the CREDIT model. Now that I have been partnered with Druva for almost two months, I have a much better understanding how this works. Sometimes talking to support can be challenging since they are over sea, but that is nothing new to cry about when in IT.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One issue I had with my last Backup solution was DR stand up. Even though I am still in the infancy of my Druva solution I do plan to utilize the AWS spin up in the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend incorporating another package with the AWS side. Now have the customer have to spnin up a AWS account blah blah blah.....Currently because funding was not available for DR during pre-sales we had to opt out) I'm sure Druva has something up their sleeve (I hope) : )~
