Fantastic product - would highly recommend

For the last few months, we've been using CloudRanger to automatically snapshot and rotate our EBS volumes by tag, as well as terminate servers at night when workloads are low. This has proven incredibly valuable for us as we lower costs and get assurance through automated tasks such as backups. No more cron - and no more worrying whether the cron has worked!

Best Backup Solution and Scheduler!

  • January 18, 2017

Managing and automating our AWS process on a large scale isn't practical within Amazon's Web Console. CloudRanger helped fully automate our EC2 and RDS backup process in minutes. With fluid scheduling and searchable logs, maintaining the integrity and high availability of our EC2 instances is now a hands-off process thanks entirely to CloudRanger.

It works great for our needs. We use it for automated backups and snapshotting. It was easy to setup and configure and we are happy with it. It allows us to automate some of our more time consuming, but critical, processes. Thanks!

CloudRanger provides peace of mind for our backups

We are still fairly new to AWS, so we were looking for a simple automation tool to help manage our EBS volume backups. We have been using CloudRanger for a few months now, and Iove the simplicity of the UI. At the moment we currently use it to take scheduled snapshots of our EBS volumes and to automatically delete any older snapshots over 30 days. The ability to schedule data retention times has been great for us, as we were previously forgetting to delete our older snapshots. It's saved us a lot of time and provides us with the backup strategy we required and it's always reliable. We would recommend for anyone looking to easily automate AWS backups.

CloudRanger works for Enterprise backups

This product is simple to set up and does exactly what we wanted it to do. We have been using CloudRanger since our initial evaluation around 6 months ago. It offers role-based permission access to control user rights which was vital for our organization. I've also been impressed with the knowledgeable and responsive support team. I recommend CloudRanger to any organization looking for peace of mind when it comes to managing their AWS backup strategy. Special thanks to Dave, Steven and the team for their ongoing support.

Backup, simple and complete

What do you like best about the product?
Druva InSync is extremely simple to use and nearly 100% automated. You can be as selective as you want and choose only which file types or even which folders get backed up.

The interface is nice and clean, and very simple to perform a restore. Great product for the every-day users like me!
What do you dislike about the product?
The backups can get expensive based on their size, and it can be challenging to stay below your size limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this products to backup our business users' Laptops while they're traveling and on the road. We've come across many instances where we needed to restore user information remotely, and it works!

The Past 6 Months with Druva Insync

What do you like best about the product?
Its very easy to configure, the learning curve for anyone new to the software is minimal.

The backups are very fast and you never notice a decrease in machine performance when they are running.

The maintenance of the software is very minimal.

The inSync share is a very easy way for users to share data with others, the password requirement is a very nice feature too.

When a user gets a new machine you simply backup the old, restore to the new and it takes less than 10 mins for most users, this is a phenomenal time saver.

Overall we are very impressed with Druva, even the reps are friendly and helpful. It has helped on more than one occasion to avoid data loss or a slow recovery.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only feature that we dislike currently is that the on-premise version of inSync gets updated much later than the cloud based version.
Having to wait so long for the new features can be frustrating but it is a very minimal complaint in the grand scheme of things
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit for us is the time to setup new machines, Under 10 mins from the time we receive the old machine until the data is restored and fully working.
We also have many traveling users so making sure we always have a backup of their data for when machines get broken saves so many problems down the line.
We have found when data corrupts on a hard drive it is not an issue either, you simple........restore to a new HDD/SSD its that simple and easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Druva is a straightforward, easy to use, backup system implemented on Windows and Apple computers throughout my department. Installation, preference setup, recovery, and administration are all straightforward and work as advertised. I highly recommend this product to others looking for reliable backup software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a couple occasions where I transferred a users files and settings from one machine to a new machine, which caused Druva to think the new machine was the old. Druva support was able to get my issues resolved promptly and reliably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software provides reliable, offsite, cloud backup of user data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this as a backup system.
