- The dashboard UI re-ordering is a bit clunky.
- Higher-end features and user segmentation is paid. Being capped at a specific price is better.

Simple way for the entire team to self-serve their data needs
What do you like best about the product?
Super simple to navigate and self-learn, our team is using it like crazy without much help

Doesn't integrate with our outbound comms tool, so it leaves a link missing in the user journey

Amplitude is the most advanced and easy-to-use product analytics software I've worked with
What do you like best about the product?
Apart from all fundamental features that Amplitude's done right (event segmentation, funnels, user composition), a new gamechanger for me was the Notebook feature allowing me to supercharge the way I create more complex analyses and reports. It's easier than ever to spread knowledge and communicate insights to the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss Mixpanel feature of bulk breakdowns and filters in event segmentation. If you want to break an event down by property you need to apply filters to every event. If you analyze more than 3 events, it gets time-consuming, so it would be super helpful to use the same breakdowns to all events at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are measuring product outcomes of the initiatives we roll-out, measuring feature adoption, engagement, performing behavioral analyses of the users based on the specific properties, and more. To put it all in one sentence - understanding how customers use our product and using this knowledge to build a better product as a result.

Fast and Easy to use Tool for Product Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and the speed at which the Data is processed is extremely fast. The number of different chart templates helps a lot in simplifying the process of any analytics.
Recently I have also found the New User Journeys Flow to be of extreme importance

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The notebook view can be further extended. Currently, if you edit a chart in notebook view you have to come out of it to save the chart. It would be great to do it without exiting from the notebook view.
2.While adding a chart to a dashboard/Notebook, you have to separately create views for various tabs available in the chart (Uniques/Event Totals/Active%/Average..). Ideally, we will want to have a feature that let the user explicitly select the tab they want to display

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the most frequent ways in which I use Amplitude is to do a Funnel Analysis of various self-serve user interactions on our websites.
It also helps in identifying the user engagement and Journeys for our customers.
I feel that using amplitude to do the frontend analytics save a lot of time for me in comparison to other traditional datalake solutions.

What do you like best about the product?
It is powerful that we can know almost everything we want to know about user behaviors with the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may take some time to get used to it if you're not familiar with analytics tools.

Understand more about use behaviors and confirm the hypothesis we have for the product.
User-level insights in just a few clicks
What do you like best about the product?
You can easily create cohorts based on user behavior. I also like how flexible the tool is and how easy it is to use.

Limited number of rows when exporting data.

We use it to check which type of content resonates more with our users as well as profitability.

It's soooo fast to get a chart in front of you

The UI is a bit weird until you get the hang of it. For example, "group by" is more of a "split into" in some cases.
It's also hard sometimes to know for sure "what" it's that you are looking at exactly.

It lets us understand how our users actually use our product and inform product decisions. We also leverage it to measure impact of new releases and do A/B testing

Just make a habit of supporting your thoughts with metrics, it's awesome once you don't need to rely on assumptions all the time.

Amplitude allows us to look at data with the depth and lens we require for each specific analytics requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to our significant traffic and current monetization for that traffic, we've decided to sample data into amplitude to save money. For certain analysis the sample can be noisy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ad hoc analysis a detail metrics for our AB tests segments
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the math in terms of the number of events you'll be sending. Consider segment or another intermediate component to pipe events through.
Extremely versatile solution for your analytics needs
What do you like best about the product?
It is super simple and intuitive to create reports on Amplitude. It does not take long to learn how to use the different features. Reports can be easily modified and shared with the rest of your team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup of Amplitude events requires your development team. This may increase your sprint durations as the team will be spending more time setting up events and testing the events before releasing the sprint features.

I am able to update the leadership team on weekly and monthly metrics. Amplitude provides accurate metrics that I can trust.
