Couldn't do my job without it

  • May 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great charts, great slicing of data, easy combining of data, my developers found it easy to implement
What do you dislike about the product?
No A/B testing support and that's all I have that's not good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick insights that I can show graphs to my CEOs that they understand. Showing the power of split testing and showing that changes are having a positive and negative impact on $$
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get your dev team to evaluate it first, plan a naming convention, have a 6 monthly plan to remove old name events

What do you like best about the product?
I like how its super easy and friendly to use. I've never used it before and it only took me a few times to understand and create good funnel analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to restrain or to segment some visions with properties and segments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion rates, drops, event segmentation. I've noticed that I can have answers quickly than using another tool or even a spreadhsheet.

Takes substantial time to understand on your own, but once set up, can move incredibly quickly

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude allows me to answer any question that my team members come to me with about how our users use our marketplace. The best part really is the speed with which I can get these answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup time was quite substantial, and wrapping my head around the event based tracking model was quite difficult on my own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most notable problem that is being solved with Amplitude is funnel tracking. I'm able to see how users move from one stage of our product to the next. I can track sign up flows, and how their referral sources impact their behavior downstream.

Retention Analysis, Funnels and User Journeys
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that I can't follow and see a specific user's journeys
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking data with Amplitude helps me in knowing the fall out points and strategising accordingly in order to retain users. Amplitude also helps in knowing what features may or may not be working properly thereby helping in product designing.

A great tool for product teams

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to start gathering info from your products and discover your product usage from a user centric view. Also the free version is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometines when you want to extract information about a big amount of users you have to download a csv as there is (or I haven't found it) a way to see it online.
The pricing plans are expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to understand how our users use our B2B product.
The main benefit is that is easy enough to implement it quickly and to be used by different departments
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read through Amplitude documentation first to get you started.

Can't really complain much. Free plan is enough for our needs right now.
Took a bit to feel at home in Amplitude but not too bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nice product, needs a number of improvements, but I enjoy using it

What do you like best about the product?
As a user :
I like the flexibility ... it´s pretty easy for a newbie to pick up and learn and has a certain level of flexibility that is great for all levels and departments.
Online sharing capabilities and real-time online updates are also a plus for real-time data.
A great feature is the ability to link directly with back-end database for updates (event triggers) giving the possibility of more accurate transactional data.
Amplitude is a relatively quick BI tool compared to other tools on the market.
The ability and easy of tracking individual clientes, with fairly reasonable and easy to use Client/Customer analytics and segmentation.
Easy LTV calculations and analytics and simple, intuitive conversion funnels.
With the help of Amplitude we have been able to accompany and identify a number of gaps with our product that has lead to performance increases.
What do you dislike about the product?
It´s a little clunky at times, and it´s tough to find practical, clear, concise information to fix some of our implementation problems. And help or support is basically non-existent.
No date select for an entire dashboard - you need to go in and change date ranges for each and every graphic.
Limited formatting options ... where´s the pie chart? stack bar chart? scatter plot?
Limited comparing options (ex. average last 7 days and more, av. same day last 4 weeks, av. last 4 weeks)
Could include website speed and performance evaluations - possibly linking with Lighthouse or similar.
Funnels could use a comparison - or time frame conversions (conversion over time) of each step.
It should be possible to "correct" data at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel Conversion - where in my conversion funnel do I have a leaky bucket
Real-time sales analyses.
Sales for each UTM source/medium vs. campaign, each payment method, each product.
We are studying Customer journeys and using data to optimize the customer experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful with implementations.
