Highly Customizable Tool for Growth Marketers
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable Amplitude Analytics is, especially the ability to create charts and dashboards for different purposes. I also like the user lookup feature and being able to track user journeys. These aspects make using the tool effective for understanding where users come from and determining which marketing strategies are most effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude tends to work well when either our side or another company's side (e.g., YouTube) has UTM parameters set up. However, sometimes it doesn't detect the source and medium if there are no UTM parameters. I can understand this but in some cases you could infer the source (at least) by referring to another piece of data like 'previous page location' or 'referring domain.' Another issue is that if you have an event that trickles down into other events (like a funnel), sometimes if you've left a filter or grouping on, the data in the next event becomes skewed. It would be nice to have the option of choosing 'funnel' or 'comparison' to either have a ripple effect on all data or just to keep data separate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track user data as a growth marketer, helping me determine effective marketing strategies and discover issues in our conversion rates by identifying leaks in our customer acquisition funnel.
Clear Insights and great to go for startup
What do you like best about the product?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track our main KPIs, and it gives me a clear picture of how my business is doing, especially when I want to understand adoption to influence my product roadmap or the funnel to improve our conversion. I find it easy to understand and broadly used, and sometimes the Ask Amplitude feature is useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always straightforward how to filter data, the data structure is not always shown with clarity. It's sometimes hard to understand how variables are linked. Also, I'd like to have a data table option that's much more flexible and straightforward. If I want to download raw data, sometimes it makes it difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track our main KPIs, understand adoption for product roadmaps, and analyze the funnel for conversion improvements, giving me a clear picture of how my business is doing.
Reliable Metrics and AI-Driven Insights, Slight AI Lag
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love the AI feature in Amplitude Analytics. It blew my mind when I found out about it. I've been using Amplitude Analytics for over five months, and the AI really helps me save time by comparing numbers and searching analytics for me. I like that it loads information quickly, and the UI/UX is simple enough for someone like me, who isn’t a programmer, to use and understand. Plus, the initial setup was quite easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess AI could work faster in Amplitude Analytics. It seems to think slowly, but I imagine it's a skill that will improve over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track DAU, WAU, MAU, find active user times, observe changes, and solve product issues with analytics. The AI saves me time by handling comparisons, while the quick loading interface ensures I access needed numbers promptly.
Powerful Data Visualization for Daily Insights
What do you like best about the product?
There is a LOT you can do to represent the data in charts. I use Amplitude daily to check the usage of our software across my client base.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good if the charts could represent people with 0 usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me understand how my client base is using our product, and therefore offer solutions to how they could be using it better. It's also an incredibly important dataset when preparing for a customer renewal as you can easily present how the product has been adopted.
Amplitude Dashboards Perfect for Marketing Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to build a Dashboard with all relevant tables, charts and analytics needed for my marketing analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it is complicated - I did not know about the courses or how to contact support so sometimes I don't know how to best make the table or chart I need
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives a more accurate representation of revenue allocation per campaign, combining multiple different platforms such as email, SMS, paid marketing, etc.
Effortless Funnel Creation, Needs Stability Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Amplitude Analytics is to use and how it implements AI. It's easy to create funnels and charts, and what I like most about the AI implementation is how much easier and faster it helps me develop funnels and charts, simply by chatting with the AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more guidance on understanding if I'm creating a funnel incorrectly, since it currently only creates the funnels with the information I provide, unless I use Ask AI, and the feature has failed (unexpected white screen) around 70% of the times I've used it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics for funnel and segment analysis, understanding user interactions and detecting drop-offs at critical points. It's easy to create funnels and charts, and AI assists in developing them faster by chatting. However, I need more guidance to ensure correct funnel creation.
Comprehensive Features and Effortless Integration
What do you like best about the product?
The broad set of features and easy integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some minor UX issues (e.g. funnel/segmentation event property value selection window changing placement after entering value). Quota usage not explained properly, quota used even though no e.g. video recording were watched.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps understand where our visitors get stuck, how they adapt new features and perform experiments aimed at improving conversion rates. Also, it's a good tool for tracking general KPIs.
Intuitive, Powerful Analytics That Drive Product Decisions
What do you like best about the product?
I use Amplitude Analytics on a daily basis and what impresses me most is how effectively it links user behavior to real product decisions. First, the platform is both intuitive and powerful, allowing me to track user actions and analyze behavior easily, all without needing to write any code. I find its capabilities for funnels, retention, and path analysis particularly strong—these are areas I often struggle to analyze in other tools like Looker. We also make extensive use of the cohorts feature, which is great because Amplitude lets us build dynamic cohorts based on actual user behavior. I can then apply these cohorts across analyses, experiments, and activations. The user experience is very friendly, and I find it straightforward to learn how to use the various features without spending a lot of time on documentation. Still, it's helpful that the documentation is thorough and clear, so whenever I can't figure something out intuitively, I can easily find the answers I need. Setting up experimentation is also simple in Amplitude; we use it for all our AB tests, and implementation doesn't require deep technical expertise.
In terms of customer support it works quite well. At least with the enterprise plan there's customer support available and they are usually quick to answer questions and solve issues.
Integration with other tools is possible and easy to configure.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I find this tool powerful and intuitive as a data analyst, I think it may not be as straightforward for product managers or others whose roles are less focused on analytics. Some of the more advanced features, like funnels, cohorts, and formulas, can initially feel overwhelming. It's crucial to have a well-thought-out event planning process. I've noticed that if the event taxonomy isn't carefully designed from the beginning, analyses can quickly become confusing or even misleading, and making corrections later is quite challenging. The same goes for naming conventions—managing a large number of events can get complicated without consistency. Although this hasn't been an issue for us yet, I've heard that costs can rise rapidly as event volume and user numbers increase, which could be a concern for startups or teams dealing with a lot of noisy events. While the tool allows to accomplish a lot without SQL, performing truly custom or edge-case analyses can feel limited compared to using a data warehouse with a BI tool. Additionally, working with large datasets or complex charts can sometimes result in slow load times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics enables me to truly understand how users interact with our product. Instead of relying on guesswork, I now have access to clear, event-based insights that reveal exactly what users are doing throughout our platform. This clarity helps our teams pinpoint the factors that drive activation, engagement, and retention, moving us away from assumptions and toward data-driven decisions.
By examining funnels, user paths, and retention metrics, Amplitude makes it straightforward to identify where users are dropping off and which behaviors are linked to long-term success. For example, after launching a new acquisition funnel, we used Amplitude daily to track its performance and to analyze where and why users were most likely to leave the process.
Another advantage is that everyone in the company can access the tool and independently gather insights, without needing to know SQL or rely heavily on the data team. This self-serve capability empowers all team members to make informed decisions.
Amplitude has also simplified the implementation and management of A/B tests and experiments. Previously, it was challenging to run and centralize multiple tests, especially given our limited traffic. Now, with features like mutually exclusive groups and holdout groups, Amplitude offers promising solutions to these limitations, although we have not yet fully tested these capabilities.
Overall, Amplitude benefits me by delivering faster answers to product questions, eliminating the need to wait for custom reports. It fosters clear alignment across product, growth, and engineering teams by providing a shared, reliable source of product and digital data. This enables us to make decisions based on measurable improvements in activation, retention, and feature adoption.

Incredible Tool for Experimentation and User Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the XP feature and how it's integrated with the analytics suite. It's super intuitive and easy to use. The experimentation feature also stands out, making the entire A/B testing pipeline very easy, from definition and implementation to setup and analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe the session replay feature is not quite useful because it has a very low limit. And the reality is that you wanna use that feature for very specific cases, which you cannot anticipate. Given that low cap, it's super likely that you won't find a session replay you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics for product analytics, understanding user dynamics, and experimenting with feature variations, gaining visibility into user behavior and identifying app usage blocks.
Exceptional Practicality and Collaboration, Lack of Technical Control
What do you like best about the product?
I love the practicality of Amplitude Analytics and its ease of use, as the tool is simple to get started with even with a short training, already covering 70% of the needs. The collaboration features are also highly appreciated, especially the sharing, integration, and dashboard features, which make it easier to share information among us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have more control over the technical aspect of the tool: for example, to have an analytics controller/verifier that sends me precise alerts and logs when events and their properties are not reported correctly, so that I can reproduce the errors and pass them on to the technical teams. The problem with alerts is that it is impossible at our scale to set up over 1000 alerts. There is no suitable system available in Amplitude today. Furthermore, I would like to have more visibility on the use of AI, like visibility AI, and to better understand how my colleagues use the tool (which charts are viewed on a case-by-case basis, or how each person views the different information).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics helps to understand how users interact with our site, thus optimizing the customer experience. It is simple to use and facilitates collaboration through sharing, integration, and dashboards.
