Great user behaviour and product analytics software for product-led growth startup

What do you like best about the product?
- Easily set up Amplitude via Segment
- Can debug the setup and user profile at ease via user lookup feature
- Formula is a very handy feature to build calculated metrics
- An essential tool to track and analyse leading metrics on top of lagging metrics in other BI software.
- Good for tracking and analysing key metrics as well as experiments and A/B testings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that a new URL is generated whenever I edit an existing chart. There is no analysis mode where I can just quickly change the visualisation type, timeframe other setting without having a new URL generated and saved in my workspace. This clutters my workspace a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Track, identify and analyse winner for any experiment and A/B testing
- Identify what is driving growth for the startup
- Democratised analytics for the growth team
- Reduced growth feedback loop from months to weekly

Easy way to track data

What do you like best about the product?
There are many customized settings that you can set up based on your needs. Personally I like funnel the best, because it provides the average time information. Generally, I think the graphs are very helpful, easy to read and can be transferred to different types of graphs. Although I haven't used the premium feature because we haven't paid for it, I say persona could be my favorite feature if I try it someday.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most helpful features are not free, like persona, user cohort, path finder. Also, it was a bit difficult for me to understand how to use Amplitude. I read the guide of amplitude so many times and not even sure I understand thoroughly. I wish there are more instructions or even with illustrations for users to handle amplitude easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Track the user journey of each individual. Also, the funnel feature is very handy. I like to set up many funnels to see how users convert.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are many useful features like the funnel, stickness and user segmentation. If you are willing to pay a little more, you can even acquire the best feature like persona, user cohort, etc. I think those are very helpful to user researchers, data analysts and project managers.

What do you like best about the product?
1) Cohorts and ability to make funnels
2) Ability to view user insights
What do you dislike about the product?
1) I cannot set an alerts for my charts
2) I cannot automatically restore my cohorts
3) I make a lot of charts and they all save even if I don't need it
4) I have to save backend events in another project because if I save them in my, amplitude thinks that users make these events and count as user has visited an app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product Analytics (for iOS app), bot analytics, acquisition analytics (partly)

It's a very good platform to find how your users behave in you App and to show this data to all your colleagues

Great product analytics tool for startups

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to customize dashboards so I can visually see our product analytics in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of bells and whistles—which is good, but it was a steep learning curve for me to pick up all the ins and outs of the product. I think that is just par for the course when it comes to a robust analytics tool like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to help us drive product-led growth. Anything from monitoring user onboarding, retention, engagement and even custom charts for monitoring actions taken on our public website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient, the ramp up and effort put into learning the product and customizing it into your product is well worth it!

Best tools to monitor your app analytics

What do you like best about the product?
Besides the basic analytics and metrics that lot's of similar tools provide, Amplitude helps me to discover behavioral layer of my users. I could measure user stickiness, lifetime cycle and user behaviors in different features of my app. It was really easy setup and best choice for early stage and growing startups with up to 10M events, Free of charge, per month.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's easy to setup but generating required reports is a time-consuming task. You should invest several hours of your time to read and watch tutorials. The dashboard is not smooth to work with and live user lookup events has a delay compare to other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Amplitude to measure user engagement, retention and behaviors on my app. It helps me to find the best features on the app and improve it, according to user actions.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Amplitude is its analytical tools to study the behavior of our users and clients on our website and application, in this way in the reports it provides us we visualize in detail all the aspects, about what draws your attention to the enter, the first thing they click or what they never see, in this way we take care of improving strategies that optimize the results in the development of our products and services, as well as the capture of potential customers. On a large scale it performs a real-time analysis, sends active and constant notifications about the analyzes carried out. With the A / B tests we verify that everything flows excellently and that the marketing strategies that we apply in our work are accurate and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it provides enough tools to understand the correct use of Amplitude features, some tools can be tedious to configure, such as event tracking or UTM tagging. It needs better updates in the user properties to be able to predetermine my preferences whenever I need it. Among other things, however, customer support has always been there to resolve any concerns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude has really been a practical tool, but with powerful functions. The analysis is thorough and details each interaction of the users of our applications, now it is easy to know our most outstanding features and not so much, to achieve a commercial balance and promote our product. As professionals we reach other levels, we improve the indirect relationship with our clients and help us to increase the quality of our service. With this, it should be noted that the benefits have been countless and that day by day even, it continues to be our star tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their analyzes are exhaustive, complete tools, perhaps somewhat complex to handle but nothing impossible. Adequate interface, detailed reports and a fast and fluid system.

What do you like best about the product?
It's possible to take a data set fir analysis and develop complete, detailed and accurate reports where it is possible to know in depth the movements in sales, sales status, among other essential data for commercial work. I like that it has various templates and graphics with which it is possible to represent all the information and data. Now it is much easier to keep track of all my informationm without complex queries or scripts, no complicated models or codes. It is not just any tool, with this it is possible to develop and perform as an excellent professional, where every day you learn something new and everything is made much easier with its easy integration and quick collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be very useful to be able to have more amplitude in its interface, to be able to have many more tools at hand and to make interactions easier in order to carry out a little more dynamic work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the implementation of Amplitude Analytics everything has been easier, being an intuitive tool, the work is fully automated, always carrying out exhaustive and detailed analyzes of all our commercial products in the company for which I work. Now the workload is not so much, it is much easier and faster to fulfill my tasks and activites in addition to having greater control over these and each commercial project, we also increase efficiency as integral professionals to provide more effective perfomance every days and obtain great benefits in the final result.

I totally recommend it, because without a doubt it is a fantastic tool, intuitive, easy to use, and wth great potential to exploit great results. Best of all, it constantly updates what constantly improves any glitches it may have.

What do you like best about the product?
Its possible to make many complex analyzes
What do you dislike about the product?
It was difficult to understand in the beginning. And the good practice in taxonomy wasn't that good. Because the suggestion is to create a very descriptive event title. But a big event title is bigger that the software interface, what's difficult the visualization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its much easier than make all that visualization by the db and excel

It's a good tool. Do not create too big event titles.

Great analytics platform

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude's speed is unbeatable. Instead of spending time to manually create queries and dashboards from scratch, you can build 80% of your daily data needs on Amplitude in minutes or even seconds. It's also great to monitor events and bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is not very user-friendly and the charts are not very customizable. If you do need to customize a graph, you will probably have to build it on a different platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, the most amazing thing about Amplitude is the speed. We're using Amplitude for all most of our product analytics and track all necessary user actions through Amplitude.

Smooth onboarding, very potent tool

What do you like best about the product?
Unique offering. As we are growing, it is unavoidable to have nomenclature changes. Amplitude fills this gap by providing the flexibility in mapping through taxonomy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has taken us a lot of time to train our employees who will use it. Something out-of-the-box is what most people are used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us see some complex paths that we could not track earlier. The taxonomy has helped us avoid rework.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a growing company and you need a tool that does not make your rework as you go about changing your events, then this is the tool. Taxonomy feature really helps in mapping and saving time as the team starts tracking more events. Without losing pervious data, you can go about doing you job. Also, being able to connect with external tools especially our CRM was a cool thing.
I would recommend doing one on one training for your primary users. It is such a potent tool that it would make sense for the facilitators to map out the use cases and train the team accordingly.
Amplitude team's support is exceptional. The on-boarding was smooth. They were available at the right time for us despite geographic limitations. They are genuinely concerned about the success of implementation. Their experts have helped us get most out of the tool during the initial days itself.
