Great analytics tool

Cohort analtysis, north star metric tracking and conversion funnels
Beautiful visualizations with impactful data
What do you like best about the product?
Allows us to easily funnel users and understand where they're dropping off or having difficulty with our platform. Visualizations are easy to build and understand, and easy to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little more difficult/less intuitive to build more complicated visualizations or do custom calculations or modifications with the data within the visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us understand our user conversions and better understand how users are interacting with our platform so we can build better services.
Clean and easy to use interface
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a new PM and absolutely love how easy it is to get product metrics and data fast. Recently, with the daily emails, I noticed a spike in usage (5-8X normal daily usage) and I was able to use the tools in Amplitude to track down the specific customers causing this spike.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little difficult to get started, I struggle to understand the power of the tool and wish I could become an Amplitude ninja soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking usage data and API calls across a few products within a portfolio. Recently, with the daily emails, I noticed a spike in usage (5-8X normal daily usage) and I was able to use the tools in Amplitude to track down the specific customers causing this spike.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that so many of the reports are available with virtually no work whatsoever. The same work would take SQL mastery and much time to deliver less than stellar results. Also, the customer support is super resourceful. Really feels like they want us to succeed!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the way my company has adopted use of Amplitude b/c we have tons of different event names/attributes - different naming conventions etc. I think a lot of the difficulty stems from the haphazard way in which we implemented the platform and the lack of adherence to best practices, which in an ideal world Amplitude could validate before we went to production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to understand our user base, its size and different segments; if features are working or not working, to determine where users may be getting stuck within a certain flow, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
We love the funnel and cohort features and seeing how things are going with new releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just getting the most out of it as a scholarship tier. We have struggled with new user metrics not matching our own data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We smoothed out our sign up flow by using UX research and Amplitude to make sure our new users were getting through sign up with minimal friction.

We have lots of different people working in different district, but it's super easy to use so everyone can access data so easy

Since we are startup and we are super young(1yr), it's easy for us to make mistakes in taxonomy. But the plugin to fix it is way too expensive

Easy to use Analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics is a great tool for keeping track of your customer data, it has a clean and easy to use user interface. The best thing is that it doesn't require any analytical skills, and lets you perform all kinds of analysis with the ease of just clicking a button.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing and tracking a funnel of data is easy, although when you need to break it down by customers, you can not do it, and it offers little insight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude Analytics mainly for tracking the funnels of customers coming in and out through our platform, as well as the ratings of our apps.

What do you dislike about the product?
Default code snippet requires some tweaks for us, as well as an interface for pushing events to Amplitude. I wish they would have just settings for setting it up on their server side, without modifications of the website's code.

Investigating user experiences for a particular group of users(for example, what's common about customers people who stopped using our product)

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude can help you cut your data in a lot of ways but it doesn't feel immensely overwhelming (i mean this as a positive). All powerful data products for business have a learning curve. I also like how Amplitude has focused on helping you tell a story with your data via their Notebook ability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly that its capabilities are so immense that you have to spend time practicing and playing with data. It isn't so relevant when not your data because you don't care. So the best way to learn is having real questions.
You also will need to know your event schema and that's always hard when you aren't helping to define it and joining and existing team. Not Amplitude's fault however.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding how users move through a product. How many activate or do a behavior. What segment does a given behavior of interest. From digging into one user to troubleshoot to telling a story with analytic visuals and commentary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have to try it to see if it will work for you. It's very powerful but like all tools that require investment in setup you really need to be thoughtful about maintaining the events become the inputs to know what's going on with your users in your product!
