Excellent Product Analytics Tools, Time-Saving Funnel Creation
What do you like best about the product?
The time-savings that I get as a Data Analyst using even the free version of Amplitude is huge. Time-dependent event tracking in funnels is a tedious and taxing manual coding effort, but Amplitude is able to stitch together timelines of events seemlessly and allow you to create funnel data based on tracked events or user properties pretty handily without coding. That alone is nuts. Also, having the ability to quickly throw up histograms, bar charts, or line charts based on tracked events makes for easy scrappy insight-testing. The fact that all this is not paywalled is fantastic and makes our organization seriously consider elevated plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard customizability is pretty slim -- there is no ability to add spacers, dividers, and text fields in dashboards. Also, horizontal annotations and an extended color palette for chart options would be nice to have, but are not present. Also, the ability to dig back in time multiple years on a chart is restricted in the free mode, paywalling deeper insight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude makes quick insight generation possible and solves a majority of basic needs from a product insight perspective with its array of tools. It is just simply easy to use.
Could not have run the business without Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
Segmentation and Funnel are the foundation, but cohort and data tables took it to a new level. Did I mention you get soooo much for free?
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much "dislike" as much as it feels like too many tools that need a lot of training to master
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any insights into the product and user experience, including A/B tests and user segmentation
Amplitude is very powerful and helps us deliver constant value by analysing user behaviour.
What do you like best about the product?
The tooling, pre-built reports, and analysis make the time-to-value ratio very good. We can quickly track, analyze, then modify our platform to bring constant value to the user. Tooling is also excellent for Amplitude managers to find unused or mistagged events.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is not very intuitive at the beginning. It is made for power users, and once you get a grip on it, it becomes a breeze to use. The ramp-up is quite rough, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can quickly spot cohorts of users and find where they fail at doing something so that we can optimize their journey. We can also track feature adoption, and find features that are less popular.
Intuitive to learn, efficient operation and advanced features
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of getting started and learning. The documentation and available communities that help with specific questions and the overall ease of use and efficiency, while everything is only a few clicks away. Continuous improvements done by the development team are always helpful and appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are minor limitations regarding too large date ranges (plotting for a duration over three years; however, offsets can be used to, well, offset this). Some small UI improvements could be made but the tool is a joy to use as it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance reporting is difficult to communicate without a direct monetary value attached. Amplitude provides an efficient and versatile tool that can be relied upon.
Great analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy amplitude is to set up and use
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many down sides of amplitude but the one I'd say is sometimes it's difficult to determine which graph is the best to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude analytics helps us determine where in our product suite we are experiencing the most funnel drop off and lets us know what features we should be investing more in.
Amplitude is awesome. With little time, i can get to answer many questions that i have of my users.
What do you like best about the product?
the number of graphics possible. The ease with which everyone can understand. The support we receive from the Product Minds Team with every doubt we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
We track events from 3 different platforms. Android, iOS and web. Many times there are differences between them. I would like to receive an alert of these differences when doing an analysis. Example, if I make a funnel where a first event is tracked on all platforms, but the second is only tracked on one, the funnel will show a huge drop, which is actually because the second event is not tracked on all platforms. Users who do not follow the day-to-day taxonomy do not realize these things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us prioritize the needs of all teams. And then validate the impact of our actions. With Amplitude we spent time doing really helpfull features.
Versatile tool with a lot of potential
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to get in-depth knowledge about the funnel steps, events and what are the pain points for the user that should be addressed. Experiments are also a precious asset that Amplitude offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes getting to the analysis, you're looking for takes too much time to make. Also, the events dropdown could be done better in UI, especially sub-menus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we're currently solving revolves around A/B testing of the funnel steps and changes. Running multiple tests at the same time is very helpful as well.
Amplitude has decreased our time to insights by 70%
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is extremely powerful. Since we launched our first Amplitude project in October 2022, it has helped our organization answer simple and complex analytic questions in a matter of minutes, instead of the usual hours or days we needed in the past. I like how playful the tool is, all the possibilities to segment data (by event, user and group properties), how easy it is to build a funnel or investigate the user flows leading to a conversion. I also love how easy it is to share results and how my stakeholders (Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Engineers) can easily slice and dice the data further after getting the reports. Also, charts embed quite nicely in Slack and Miro boards, so consumption of Amplitude charts is super easy. Last but not least: the support I got from Implementation and Customer Success team during the set up and now adoption phase of the project has been invaluable!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Amplitude would offer more possibilities to fix data that has been already sent. For example, if I send one day of data, and the data is wrong, I cannot edit that data. Instead, I need to add a drop filter to remove that data, send the data again, and incurr in this additional cost. Ideally, there would be an easier way to edit the data without paying for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is solving 3 key problems, in my opinion.
The first one: Knowing what questions to ask your data, in order to improve your product. Amplitude's variety of pre-made analysis makes it easy to know what questions to ask to your data, without getting lost in a rabbit hole of vanity metrics.
The second one: Providing insights when it matters (in minutes, not hours or days), as its highly performant architecture allows crunching data in record speed.
The third one: Collaboration. I have never worked with a tool that makes it so easy to share and collaborate around data. It beats the experience of building your own custom dashboard in BI tools.

Amplitude has helped me generate valuable insights for CPG.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and understanding of trends
What do you dislike about the product?
Let the customization of events not be so simple
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps optimize the analytical process without having to incur huge setup costs, it serves to optimize processes.
Amplitude is very complete
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is very intuitive to create charts with events in real time. It also very good for AB test. It has a very good number of different charts and helps a lot with data self service.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be more clear with inactive events, and also Amplitude should not allow creating an event without a description. But I understand that this may be a problem with the creation of the event, not with Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is solving the problem of monitoring and tracking events in real-time. Also helps a lot with AB tests, and It`s intuitive for people with different expertise.
