Amazing features
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Data Analytics is a powerful and comprehensive analytics platform that provides businesses with valuable insights about user behavior. It offers powerful features such as segmentation, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and user journeys to help businesses better understand their users and optimize their product and growth strategies. Additionally, Amplitude’s flexible query builder allows users to quickly build custom queries to answer their own questions. The starter plan is also very helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
However, one major downside to Amplitude Data Analytics is that it can be quite expensive, especially for small businesses. Additionally, the platform can be difficult to use for those who are not familiar with data analytics and might require a learning curve to become comfortable with the interface

An incredibly easy-to-use tool for understanding user behavior.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how fast it is and how easy it is to integrate - it's super easy to get event data into amplitude and then start analyzing data. The user interface is easy to pick up, and in general I can get to most cuts of data that I need fairly easily. Takes a lot of the effort to wrangle data out of my day to day so I have more time for other things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really striking comes to mind - I think there could be a few UX improvements when it comes to pulling together dashboards, but those are minor annoyances that I've learned to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is primarily helping with building use cases, opportunity sizing, and evaluating A/B experiments that my team runs. Working on a marketplace, I am able to connect feature adoption by sellers, with views, interactions, and conversion on the buyer side to help understand what is driving the business.
Amplitude is great!
What do you like best about the product?
I can build and analyze data super quickly! I love that I can track myself in real time and validate which event is being registered. Using GA4, for example, was a lot more complex for me; it has a lot of menus, and it was confusing how to track my events; with Amplitude, that's not a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is not being able to check the query the graphs are building. It could be beneficial to get the query so Analysts can share and modify it as they need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves how many users access my website, how many reach the signup, which step of the funnel is having trouble, etc. It helped me detect tricky steps in the funnel
Incredible insights from your product
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to build charts. With Amplitude, you can answer almost every question about the usage of your product. You need to define what is essential for yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would help if you were technical enough to set up events here. If setting up events was as straightforward as creating charts, that would be fantastic. On the other hand I understand that not everything can be a one-click action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to have deep analytics about products. In Amplitude, you can build charts very quickly. You need to have events set up. Amplitude does the rest. It helps me very much.
Self Service Analytics that keeps stakeholders away from analysts
What do you like best about the product?
That as an Analyst, I can concentrate on deep dives and experimentation, instead of answering ad-hocs all day, because stakeholders can answer their own ad-hocs on Amplitude
What do you dislike about the product?
UX can be a bit frustrating at times, and there's always room for adding more features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of creating dashboards and answering ad-hocs on product engagement data, where there are millions of rows (too much for Tableau), and you don't want to be running SQL all day to answer ad-hocs. It frees up my time to work on more interesting stuff.
Amplitude makes it easy to understand our user behavior
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it super intuitive and easy to analyze and visualize what is happening within our product. I'm able to pull segmentation reports, drill deeper into specific interactions, and also create funnel views.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had no major issues with Amplitude. They are constantly improving the product, which I love.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps me to understand what drives signups and how users interact with our product. On top of that, I'm able to build funnels to see dropoffs and also monitor retention by different cohorts.
Amplitude makes it so easy to understand our users
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it so easy to understand how users are using our app. It's incredibly straightforward to set up events, and the tools for visualizing them are extremely powerful yet still simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue I've encountered with Amplitude is that sometimes it can take some time for my data to populate. For example, I set up a new Amplitude event recently, and it took me quite a while to start seeing that data inside Amplitude. I knew I was triggering events for it, so I was very confused and thought I might have been looking in the wrong place, but it seems like it just needed time to process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude makes it extremely easy for my team and I to analyze how users are using our app. It gives us insight into what features they find valuable and areas we could improve upon.
Excellent Product Analytics Tools, Time-Saving Funnel Creation
What do you like best about the product?
The time-savings that I get as a Data Analyst using even the free version of Amplitude is huge. Time-dependent event tracking in funnels is a tedious and taxing manual coding effort, but Amplitude is able to stitch together timelines of events seemlessly and allow you to create funnel data based on tracked events or user properties pretty handily without coding. That alone is nuts. Also, having the ability to quickly throw up histograms, bar charts, or line charts based on tracked events makes for easy scrappy insight-testing. The fact that all this is not paywalled is fantastic and makes our organization seriously consider elevated plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard customizability is pretty slim -- there is no ability to add spacers, dividers, and text fields in dashboards. Also, horizontal annotations and an extended color palette for chart options would be nice to have, but are not present. Also, the ability to dig back in time multiple years on a chart is restricted in the free mode, paywalling deeper insight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude makes quick insight generation possible and solves a majority of basic needs from a product insight perspective with its array of tools. It is just simply easy to use.
Could not have run the business without Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
Segmentation and Funnel are the foundation, but cohort and data tables took it to a new level. Did I mention you get soooo much for free?
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much "dislike" as much as it feels like too many tools that need a lot of training to master
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any insights into the product and user experience, including A/B tests and user segmentation
Amplitude is very powerful and helps us deliver constant value by analysing user behaviour.
What do you like best about the product?
The tooling, pre-built reports, and analysis make the time-to-value ratio very good. We can quickly track, analyze, then modify our platform to bring constant value to the user. Tooling is also excellent for Amplitude managers to find unused or mistagged events.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is not very intuitive at the beginning. It is made for power users, and once you get a grip on it, it becomes a breeze to use. The ramp-up is quite rough, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can quickly spot cohorts of users and find where they fail at doing something so that we can optimize their journey. We can also track feature adoption, and find features that are less popular.
