Best in class for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
We considered many options for our analytics tool and ended up settling on Amplitude because of the ease of integration and the quality of the free tier. With 10M free events per month and retention + cohort analyses on the free tier, we were able to extract tons of valuable insights quickly and integrate logging in a few hours.
Tools I use every day include retention graphs, cohort graphs, daily actives, and user streams. User streams are particularly really useful to see the flow of a given user's behaviors in the app.

What do you dislike about the product?
My team and I have struggled a bit with sharing data with each other- have some dashboards and charts that we want synced but it was a bit confusing to get this shared with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude solves the problem of flying blind- without it, understanding our user behaviors was a chore requiring tons of custom scripts on a custom database. But Amplitude makes all that 10x easier and faster. I use it every single day to understand how our users are interacting with our product.
Amplitude helps Customer Support and Customer Success
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can get granular details of actions that a user completes when a bug arises. The Customer Support team is better able to identify and communicate a bug to the engineering team, which leads to faster resolution times. Our Customer Success team can use Amplitude to help understand customer behavior and when they should intervene to help a customer out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep to get the deeper analyses down. It takes a skilled user to train a novice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only can I use the user journey feature to help identify and diagnose bugs, I'm able to view A/B tests and see how different changes can affect a multitude of users. This lets us experiment to make the right changes for our product.
Easy-to-Communicate Insights = Better Decisions
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Event Segmentation + Notebooks features. It makes it so fast to explore data quickly, find the chart that communicates a relevant insight, then add it to a Notebook for sharing, monitoring, and socializing a decision or progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I might underuse the tools -- the exploration I do is high-level because we are a startup, so some of the highly detailed or complex capabilities might just not be necessary for my use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is super easy to communicate about analytics, even with people who are not data-savvy. It also anticipates issues + can forecast to give us a picture of what will happen in the near future.
Product manager
What do you like best about the product?
Self-service debugging, analytics. I can get answers to my questions without waiting on the data team to tell me. This makes my work much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of. It's been helpful for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to answer product questions to understand scope of an issue, and how customers are behaving given certain conditions that Incan filter on. We care a lot about new vs existing customer behavior and it's easy to apply that lens with Amplitude. It's also been helpful to identify issues (an event issue vs production issue).
Very useful, Experiments UI could be better
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to set up from a dev's perspective and works really well.
Love the User Lookup mode where you can see the behaviors of specific users in one place.
Love the User Lookup mode where you can see the behaviors of specific users in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Experiments UI could have a better UX. I find UX pretty confusing. Also, since people of various backgrounds are using experiments, a little bit more explanations are needed on the UI (For example, what is Assignment vs Exposure, etc, etc)
Everything there is pretty technical, so in our usage, we notice many people not being able to grasp all the things about it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a much better understanding of how users behave.
Running experiments have been a major for us, as well

I like amplitude because it helps to make dashboard easy and fast
What do you like best about the product?
it's pretty easy to use. I've adopted that program just in a few days. Also, Amplitude's FAQ helps me to understand how reports work (except retention report - I'm still not sure how it works)
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way how retention reports. even after reading FAQ I still don't understand how it calculates the data and if I can trust that data to make decisions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dive into analytics. It helps me to understand how users use our products, what is the growth points and which type of users we have. Also, we use it during A/B tests to compare the groups and make a decision.
Excellent analytics tool to get all the answers I need
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able to create real-time charts and dashboards to measure the success of new features, validate the health of my product, or answer any questions I might have about user behavior. The charts are easy to read, so I can send my insights to stakeholders to begin a discussion.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a burden to onboard and teach new members of our team how to use the product. As one of the power users from our team, that burden falls on my shoulders. I also wish I could create a vertical bar chart or pie chart when using "group by" functionality instead of horizontal bars. It makes my dashboards inconsistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to turn anecdotal feedback into quantitative results. We've proven our hypotheses wrong many times given the incredible insights gained through Amplitude. Had we gone with our gut, we would have made the wrong choice for our business.
Achieving goals using Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
I can easily build and monitor the performance of my metrics at anytime.
I can do the deep dive analysis to whatever anomaly I found on my metrics, as the data tracking is near real time.
I can avoid any unnecessary loss, causing by the technical issue or human error.

What do you dislike about the product?
Need to really aware of the data structue to avoid any misinterpretation, but I think this is acceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More data driven decision using amplitude so I can achieve my goal (whatever metrics I have defined)
An unicorn of a product for those who understands the value of clickstream data
