Review on Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, Indepth analysis, Creating dashboards, Quick analysis, good customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrated with slack, but won't get alerts most of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is a powerful tool which helps me in doing indepth analysis on the lot of problems. Few features like data table, cohort comparsion saves lot of time in doing analysis. Can create cohorts and user journeys without any fuss.

Amplitude helps me get users behavior in a single place and discover UX and product gaps easily
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to build complex funnel reports is very easy to use and powerful.
I also like the fact that you can create several environments which helps me enroll analytics features gradually.

What do you dislike about the product?
Though I using the session recording and it's very useful, it seems to now record 100% of the target I set the SDK to record.
In addition, it was hard at the beginning creating a user retention chart and required more tweaks than I expeted.

Amplitude Analytics helps me understand the user behavior in my product, find product and UX gaps and discover new feature adoption

Needs to have a more robust documentation. There are a lot of capabilities that go unnoticed since they are hard to find.

Best Consumer Analytics Tool In The Space
What do you like best about the product?
I've personally used various consumer analytics tools including Heap, Amplitude, and Mixpanel and had the best experience with Amplitude. The tool is intuitive, offers significant depth of insights and the product team launches improvements on a regular basis. For companies that don't have a sophisticated analytics stack, Amplitude could be a tool that helps take your capabilities from reporting to insights regardless of the size of your org. Highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
More recently Amplitude has started offering new features only available under higher priced tiers. I work at a smaller organization and we often get priced out of features that we would find helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplide helps us get a better understand of how our consumers are engaging with and navigating through our product. Amplitude's biggest selling point for us is time to insights, which we believe are best in class.
An excellent analytics tool for online B2C
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics is very stable and reliable and there are so many options to analyze data... when integrated with an automation tool the options are endless and such an integration is very simple (we did it with OneSignal).
The ongoing support from the Amplitude and from the community is also great.

It takes a long time and a lot of experimentation before really mastering the tool

Amplitude let's us analyze behavior of customers and leads, thus optimize conversion and retention funnels. It is also integrated with an automation tool so we define cohorts (or segments) according to user patterns and analyze the results of campaigns in Amplitude.

Amplitude Analytics has been instrumental in allowing us to perform detailed flow analyses, which help us identify improvement opportunities at every stage of the customer journey—whether it’s within the purchase funnel or other critical processes on our platform. By breaking down each step and understanding user behavior in depth, we can make informed decisions that enhance our overall user experience and drive continuous growth. This level of insight is invaluable for optimizing every aspect of our platform’s performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Amplitude could improve is by incorporating more advanced behavioral calculations—though this has been the only feature I’ve found lacking in my three years of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within the purchase funnel, we were able to achieve a 10% increase in conversions by thoroughly analyzing and identifying the specific stages where users tended to abandon their carts. By pinpointing the triggering events that led to this abandonment, we implemented targeted optimizations that effectively reduced drop-offs and encouraged users to complete their purchases.

I love that Amplitude Analytics makes it possible to track SO MUCH data and get lots of insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there is so much data available, it can be difficult to find ones way around. Additionally, finding the right event triggers in order to built charts can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is giving us a lot of insighst on website and conversion data, which helps inform our web projects and conversion focus.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and intuitive to understand if instrumented correctly. This also helps save a lot of time infinding intersting insights as a PM not having to wait for analysts to provide results.
Very good for usage pattern and behaviour insights, although it is very important that the instrumentation is accurate otherwise you'll be left scratching your head as to why it makes no sense.
I have now used it across 2 companies and have a pretty good expereince.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Learning curve can be sometimes steep for users who are non-tech background or are unfamiliar with analytics tool.
- Data instrumentation is critical. It is very important that the instrumentation is accurate otherwise you'll be left scratching your head as to why it makes no sense. Faced this in previous org but not in current.
- We have many users who have never opened amplitude(mostly from buss side and even within product) so make sure the licences you purchase will be used.

I primarily work for end user adoption and although there is no direct way to associate it with business metrics and there is associated cost on adding more metrics.

Highly customizable which allows to build different views to understand the user journey. The user streams in particular are very helpful. Amplitude is really good at joining multiple user sessions as it identifies them uniquely.

Not allowing to create a pie chart for user cohorts

Understanding user behaviour and patterns to identify problems in the product. Amplitude funnel allows to understand the drops and then dig deeper via user streams.
