An excellent tool for insight at speed
What do you like best about the product?
With Amplitude you are able to get the insight you have wanted at a pace that is just unrealistic for SQL based, traditional data warehouse queries. It is beyond the competition in so many ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the only things that could be improved is the ability to customise graphs like other traditional BI tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We quickly used Amplitude to understand the acquisition and activation funnels and extended this into all user journeys across our applications. Business performance and the usage of data have both increased dramatically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are comfortable with events and their application on your product then Amplitude is the best product you can use for insight.

What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly self-service analytics tool where you can do an instant data science just with a few clicks. The most powerful feature is the user persona analysis that can help to understand our users in several clusters then combine it with their retention graphs
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is quite expensive even for a mid-sized company. To gain several important features we need to add in extra cash to unlock it. Their cohort function also still needs to have more improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding how every user's actions and demographics impact retention. Amplitude also allows us to find the "levers" for each activation metrics within the product

If your company has quite a lot of budget in your pocket, go for Amplitude. This will supercharge your analytics team, a good analytics investment.
Strong diagnostics capability excellent for organisation seeking data democratisation
What do you like best about the product?
User Look-Up is an excellent feature for organisations considering data democratisation because in the wealth of data in digital analytics, all users are able to trace their own user path and relevant components for analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboarding is not as customisable, with limitations around the layout and filter options (e.g. unable to set filters based on formula). This makes it tough for meaningful visualisations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile App performance tracking. Benefits realised include understanding various UI element impressions and click through performance. Also, it is easy to onboard new joiners, within 1 week of joining, we are able to use Amplitude with limited hand-holding.

What do you like best about the product?
It is incredibly easy to cohort users, with both static and dynamic cohorts
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex, specific visualisations can be quite difficult to produce due to the specificity of the chart templates and still small community

User path analysis and identifying cohorts that are most likely to convert and why.

Great tool to get insights
What do you like best about the product?
The customization and flexibility. It's a great tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading time, not dealbreaker, but it'd be great if it was a bit faster.

Game changing analytical software
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use the platform for multiple functions - product analytics, spotting customer trends, ease of ability to share audiences with distribution platforms e.g. Braze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of functionality within the platform which can be overwhelming. Need to maintain close contact with account manager to ensure getting most out of Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hugely beneficial in spotting issues with our products which we would not otherwise have spotted. The ability to create dynamic customer cohorts which sync hourly with our customer comms distribution software makes marketing automation much easier.
Amplitude has helped me in understanding the product and helped in strategizing for the growth.
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel, Event segmentation and Retention charts are something I mostly use. These three things have made it very easy to understand where product growth is headed and helps us analyse the specific features and how we can further improvise them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the things are pretty much good, one thing I think can help a lot is creating groups of charts within the dashboards. Like a folder containing multiple charts under one dashboard. That could help in sorting things a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly product related problems are being solved on amplitude. Majority of our data analytics happens on amplitude as it is very convenient over a traditional SQL and querying seems to be a little too much. The speed at which we can make deductions out of the data is also pretty good
Best tool for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way I can gather information with great data visualization. The types of visualizations are great, so I can move from one view to another (segmentation, funnel, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that allowing us to edit more our data visualization would be incredible. Sometimes I want to change the caption on big graphs and it's impossible due to the limitations of the tool. Also, change the colors and things like this. Metabase is a great benchmark for this use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The share of knowledge between my peers from work. Some gaps between the real use of the product and the way stakeholders use it to frame it. The benefits are that the team starts to care more about the user and we can find problems before a mass report on our CX channels.

Find some peers from Data or product team to help you understand better the way data is structured.
Amplitude as a quick and useful analytical tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am able to create a variety of charts in a short turnover time. Each chart provides different kinds of insights that help build an overall better product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I am very satisfied with the use of Amplitude so far but if I would nitpick, I think I would prefer a live collaboration/edit feature in charts so that multiple people can edit it at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding app health, segmentation of users, and tracking of key performance indicators. Amplitude has allowed me to provide stakeholders with the numbers quickly. It has also built a foundational understanding of our product and users
