Detailed analysis, many functions, and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like how detailed we can be with the analyses, the wide variety of features it offers, and how easy it is to use. In general, it allows for in-depth exploration without complications and quickly finding what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
UX is not always the most beautiful or the clearest. A better design of the graphics and dashboards would be a great plus, especially so that the information is understood more quickly and the navigation becomes more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me understand how users interact with my product, track the adoption of the features I launch, measure stickiness, and analyze funnels to see where users are dropping off, so I can work on improvements that allow me to increase conversion. It has also helped me conduct A/B testing and guide both product and business decisions. In summary, it is the data source that supports and guides my work as a PM.

Powerful Analytics, Smooth Setup with Slight Performance Lags
What do you like best about the product?
I really love using Amplitude Analytics for analyzing our company's metrics and running A/B tests. The feature flags are fantastic and make it super easy to work with the platform. I appreciate how effortlessly I can spin up a chart and compare events; it's really cool. It helps us understand customer behavior and see how it evolves over time, or how our changes impact them. Also, the integration of feature flags within the platform is seamless, making it easy to connect everything. Being data-driven, Amplitude lets us figure out what's working with our experiments and A/B tests, which variants work and which ones don't.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes when you're dealing with a lot of events, it feels a bit slow. Nothing major, but it does feel a little sluggish sometimes. Apart from that, nothing to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us understand customer behavior and the impact of our changes. Sometimes it evens helps us debug problems, when customers have a different behavior than expected.
Powerful Data Analytics with Impressive Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
Very powerful tool for data analytics overall -- there are plenty of features and functions and flexibility to take advantage of! I especially love the dashboards. The "Getting Started with Amplitude Analytics" course (videos + transcript + interactive walkthrough activities) was especially helpful to help me get familiar with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to understanding how to navigate the platform and utilize/make the most of its (many) capabilities -- I've only touched the tip of the iceberg myself!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was analyzing a dashboard created for one of our products (that began early last year). For my role (accounting-related), there are two dashboards that were particularly helpful as we needed to come up with an accrual estimate. One of the charts (a multi-line chart) on the dashboard showed the number of claims coming in each day, with a different-coloured line for each type of claim (e.g. damaged, lost, stolen). Another helpful chart to analyze for my use case was the one tracking the daily sum of reimbursements/refunds (i.e., approved claims) being paid out. For both charts, I was only interested in the total for each day (no need for separation by claim type), so I removed the "grouped by: claim_reason", which resulted in the chart that was most helpful for my purposes. Then, to get a cumulative total (just the sum from all claims, not the day-by-day breakdown) to date, I selected the "Bar chart" option. The date presets (e.g. "Last 30 days", "This quarter") and keyword options (e.g. "Between", "Last", "Since", "This") have also been incredibly useful for further refining of my searches (down to whatever specific period I am looking to analyze the data for).
Streamlined Insights with AI-Powered Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
I like Amplitude Analytics' AI feature; it lets us just type a couple of prompts and get the data and the visuals we need. It reduces the time taken by analysts to build or prepare a chart, allowing us to focus more on in-depth research and analysis to get better insights and dig deep into the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a bit concerned that predictive analytics sometimes ends up aggregating the data when we export certain numbers and when I export the same numbers at a later point in time, the numbers vary slightly. It's not massively worrying, but the numbers vary a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics helps analysts focus on in-depth insights by allowing stakeholders to self-serve basic data, freeing us to concentrate on research.
Powerful Analytics with Supportive AI and Stellar Service
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the support for Amplitude Analytics is good. The AI is really effective, helping me create reports quickly, allowing me to see the data in a matter of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's a very high learning curve. The initial setup was a little bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track metrics and analytics for our mobile app, aiding in user acquisition and retention. It helps me quickly create reports and view data within minutes.
Effortless Reporting and Actionable Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to generate reports and see actionable business data quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be hard getting the right data into Amplitude from partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude analytics is helping me solve measurement issues when testing the efficacy of A/B tests in Braze. whether this is against control groups, new features or campaigns/automations.
Simple dashboards to build
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's very simple to create dashboards with Amplitude Analytics. Even with many types of events, the workspace always remains organized. Additionally, Amplitude also guides the less experienced. The new AI features are well designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is expensive compared to other tools. Initially, the configuration was a bit complicated, with errors both on our part and from their support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics provides me with product metrics for our digital products, and it's easy to create dashboards. It was chosen because tracking metrics on mobile apps was complicated with Google Analytics. Additionally, it has many other ancillary products that we often use.
Advanced Analytics, Challenging for Non-Technical Users
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Amplitude Analytics is very advanced and I don't need to export data to Excel to conduct analytics. It offers a variety of charts and visualizations which helps me slice and dice the data better for deeper analytics. Advanced features like session replat and cohort analytics are super useful. The event segmentation, funnel, and retention charts are highly useful for my analytical needs. The initial setup was straightforward by following the documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very intuitive and easy to use for a non-technical audience. Non-technical users find it overwhelming to use and need constant support from the data team to understand their reports and create their own reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics helps me understand product growth, retention rates, and churn indicators. It lets me analyze user journeys, key funnels, and drop-offs while enabling deeper data analysis with advanced features and visualizations.
Solid Product Analytics Software with Extensive Knowledge Base Despite Some Feature Gaps
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility: I have been able to create events and dashboards to cover the majority of my product analytics needs. Interface: quite intuitive. Knowledge base: Advanced analytics requires some research but the knowledge base is quite extensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude's session replays stopped working for some of my apps, and the investigation of the root cause is still ongoing. Amplitude support provided some generic recommendations but it looks like they haven't been very helpful so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is the main product analytics software I use as a Product Owner. It has provided me with some critical information about the product usage and the customer behavior over the last few years. In particular, it helped prioritize some feature development for the rewrite project and feature enhancements, as well as understand who our customers are and what their workflow in the product looks like. My overall experience has been quite positive even though I have not been able to take advantage of some Amplitude features (session replays) due to them not working properly with some of my products.
