What do you like best about the product?
I find Amplitude Analytics to be incredibly reliable and appreciate its well-known interface and features, which offer a rich array of options such as feature flags, dashboards, and user journey tools. The interface is particularly easy to use, making it accessible for users to navigate and leverage its functionalities effectively. I greatly value the wealth of useful functionalities provided by Amplitude Analytics as they enhance the overall experience, allowing for comprehensive product analytics and insights. Moreover, setting up Amplitude Analytics initially was a smooth experience, further emphasizing its user-friendly nature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am dissatisfied with the speed of work and experience lags when using the chart screen in Amplitude Analytics, especially related to context menus when changing metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics for product analytics and insights, improving product traction, and analyzing experiments. Its easy-to-use interface and functionalities like feature flags and dashboards are invaluable.

Tracks user journeys over time and helps identify behavioral patterns across the site

  • November 21, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Amplitude is our main product insights system, and it allows us to view the activity on our website and quantify certain KPIs about how users interact with the site.

We measure things such as monthly active users by seeing how many users have performed a tracked action within the last month. Monthly active users, or MAUs, is tracked in that way. We also have time series charts that establish patterns of user behavior as they make their way across our site, and we use those to analyze how they are using our site and how they are interacting with our products.

When we offer special sales on our products to our users, it is often crucially important to know how they are engaging with the sale and if they purchase that sale product or any additional products during that time. We have often used the funnel analyses of interactions during this time to enhance our sale offerings in the future and to make decisions about which products are giving the most return for our users.

What is most valuable?

The best features Amplitude offers are their funnel analyses, which allows you to specify any number of events in series and look at how many users performed those events in the certain configuration over time. Their time series graphing is also quite impressive, and time series analysis is normally something that is quite tedious to do manually. Amplitude does an excellent job at taking care of that, linking tracked events.

Amplitude has provided almost instant value to our dev team when they are deploying new trackable events and seeing how those events line up before they go out to production. The positive impact on our organization is really felt mostly by our product team because the product insights that we get from Amplitude are used to enhance and redesign our products as well as influence new offerings.

We have been able to assess the friction points on our website that users often encounter that lead to negative outcomes, and we have been able to either reduce or completely re-engineer those friction points to ease the friction on the user.

What needs improvement?

Amplitude can be improved by allowing more than a two-year look back window for most analyses. Usually, all they offer is that two-year look back window, and longer form time series analysis seems nearly impossible to do on this platform. Extending the time window with which you are able to look back can definitely be improved.

We attempted to use their screen recording and session recording capabilities as a replacement for a previous vendor, and we found that the functionality they offered did not stack up to the previous vendor. There is a lot of room for improvement on session recording.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Amplitude for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Amplitude is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Amplitude is very scalable, considering that we do not have to do any manual work ourselves. It is all done on the back end.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is exceptional. They also make themselves available in a Slack group. You can pursue answers whichever way you would prefer through the normal support routes or you can source it from the community that they offer on Slack.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We attempted to use their screen recording and session recording capabilities as a replacement for a previous vendor, and we found that the functionality they offered did not stack up to the previous vendor.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I was not part of the setup cost scenario because it was already established before I joined the company. However, I am familiar with the re-upping of our contract over time and the pricing associated with that. Pricing is often egregiously high, and the company has changed billing models on us once already. It often needs to be negotiated with sales reps, which makes the process a bit long, and for a public benefit corporation, we do not often see any special accommodations budget-wise, which is a little disappointing.

What other advice do I have?

I chose a rating of nine out of ten because Amplitude has virtually every functionality that we need except for the aforementioned lack of long form time series analysis, and their pricing is often a bit egregiously high, needing to be negotiated down on an enterprise level.

There does not need to be a third-party cloud provider because Amplitude uses their own resources.

We do not have any established metrics simply because we have been using Amplitude for too long in order to have some formal metric. We are completely tied to Amplitude for our product insights at this point. It would simply be too great an expense for us to spin up another system that would provide such a service in such a robust fashion in a way that would be cost-effective.

I am not familiar with the initial implementation as Amplitude was already in use when I joined the company.

Be aware that Amplitude is very powerful, but also very expensive accordingly.

We do not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer. My overall rating of this product is nine out of ten.

Amplitude is probably best data tracking tool I've ever used :D

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Amplitude has very clean UI solutions in comparison to other tracking tools. I think it has a lot of great presets and an information layer to instantly understand what to do.

I am absolutely a fan of how all charts look - segmentation, funnel, etc.. I think they are very easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be fair there is no such thing I hate the most ir do not like in general. I would love that creating Dashboards would be more understandable for me, or I am simply lacking enough context where to go/what to look for since I am not using Amplitude for a very long time. I am quite new user.

Maybe I am not very confident in this "customer journeys" view. Sometimes I am not entirely sure what am I looking on. Even tho it looks like a useful tool.

Maybe for me it would be helpful to have more mobile-app focused understanding how to look at data. Overall it's good, but not all tools on apps behave the same way as for web. But Amplitude office hours is good place to ask these questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think all problems? Amplitude allows to implement very well structured event logics. I am yet to discover other products, but I recently tried out session recording - that will be mega epic tool for us.

Customizable Dashboards Shine, Very Minor Customisation/Preference Flaws

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Amplitude Analytics for its customizable dashboards, which allow me to efficiently access and present necessary metrics and graphs for my role. These dashboards are invaluable for quick data exports and presenting information to company leaders without delay. The ability to visualize data trends and quickly spot anomalies requiring deeper analysis is another major advantage, ensuring I remain on top of significant changes. Additionally, Amplitude Analytics solves the 'blank canvas' problem for us by offering customizable events and formulas, along with dashboards that display only the most pertinent data. I also value how easy it was for me, as a new user, to get acclimated by integrating existing team-space resources into my personalized dashboards. Furthermore, the platform’s flexibility to create formulas for defining important user engagement milestones solidifies its position as our source of truth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that in the table layout of my dashboard, it doesn't save my selection of which columns to show. Each time, I have to untick columns as it doesn't remember my last used selection or allow me to set preferences for columns not to be displayed permanently. Additionally, the customization of graph colors is limited as I'm forced to use pre-set themes rather than picking a singular custom color from a color wheel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to optimize the customer journey by tracking events and creating customizable dashboards. It solves the blank canvas problem, offers valuable insights through visual representation, and allows experimentation for growth hacking.

Flexible, User-Friendly App with Powerful Dashboard

  • November 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The app is easy to go, you can just call simple APIs and collect all the information. The service is quite flexible. I even have managed to transfer data manually between different accounts/projects. The dashboard is quite comfortable, has sufficient variety of charts available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations are big on the free tire and the price for the minimal tariff is too big.

Powerful Insights and Seamless Integrations for Marketing Teams

  • November 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the insights and granularity you can obtain with Amplitude! I also really appreciate the integrations Amplitude is compatible with.

I work in Lifecycle Marketing and use Amplitude daily, we integrate it with Iterable so we can see in depth about the performance and engagement for each campaign. We especially love how easy it was to set up alerts for when a campaign doesn't perform as expected or stops working all together!

It has really enabled our team to be efficient in solving problems, identifying what works well and what doesn't.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issue with Amplitude is that the UI is not incredibly user friendly. It takes some time to learn the platform and how to gain as much from it as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is helping us dive deeper into the data we have and unlock powerful trends and behaviors of our members base that we don't have with other platforms.

Intuitive UI and Detailed Insights, A Solid Choice

  • November 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely appreciate Amplitude Analytics for its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which significantly enhances navigation and enables the effortless creation of dashboards. This ease of use is a considerable advantage over many competitors, as it allows these dashboards to be shared seamlessly with product teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, I highly value the detailed and well-documented raw data it provides, which is ideal for conducting ad-hoc analyses outside of Amplitude. This detailed data has been incredibly beneficial in helping us make well-informed decisions. Furthermore, the platform's collaborative nature and documentation further aid in efficient teamwork, making it a robust tool in our analytics arsenal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think event tagging in Amplitude Analytics sometimes is a bit misleading. There's a need for more clarity on specific events and better documentation. It's not always about having numerous events; the clarity and understanding of those events are crucial. Also, the initial setup of Amplitude Analytics seemed medium to hard, which could be challenging for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track app and website traffic, allowing us to identify and tag specific events. Its detailed backend data aids informed decision-making, and the intuitive UI facilitates dashboard creation and team collaboration.
