Amplitude revolutionized how we build our Product at CANAL+
What do you like best about the product?
Being focused on impact and outcomes, Amplitude helps us provide valuable daily insights on the problems we need to solve for our users and monitor the results of our experimentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have a specific downside in mind for this tool, except the frustration of sometimes not having enough time to use it more. New capabilities around AB Testing are coming, and we are eager to implement and use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Amplitude Analytics and Amplitude materials (Playbook, Webinars, etc.), we have challenged and improved our Product Strategy, finetuned our North Star and NSM inputs, and focused on the most critical problems around acquisition and engagement.

Amplitude SQL didnt work as expected. But the gui is good enough.

Simplified data and customized reports based on your needs.

Some data analysis would still need some analysis using another app, mostly exporting the data and still having to analyze it on Excel.

Answering who our users are and how are they using our platform.

Make sure that everything is setup at the backend as well so that the data reflected on your Amplitude reports will also be accurate.

What do you like best about the product?
I like all the capabilities of Amplitude. I've recently found how to use the engagement matrix and the lifecycle chart and they are awesome! And I made it all myself by reading Amplitude documentation. I also love the user look-up feature because anyone can build charts without reading a line of events documentation. Instead I can just run a manual test with the app and see the events that are triggered in real time. I also love the real time charts when launching new features to see if there are issues as soon as we make a release.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things I dislike. One of them is the time to update the events in real-time when using the user look-up feature. It's not real-time. I have to refresh the page to see the new events. There are also little details that I dislike, like not being able to add personalized colors to the charts because I can't use the brand colors the charts don't match the branded presentations when I use screenshots of the charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm helping the design team to make better decisions related to user experience. Data is irrefutable. Another benefit is that I can start a qualitative research based on the findings of the data analytics from Amplitude.
Easy to set up and use product analytics tool for Product Managers
What do you like best about the product?
Even though it takes some time to instrument all of your events properly, after doing that the use of Amplitude is very easy. For sometime there was some hesitation on our traditional analysts about being able go deep on some of the analysis by just using Amplitude's UI capabilities. However, later on we found out that we could pipe out events to other platforms like periscope and run further analysis on them.
Overall, we are happy to use them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Estimating the volume for a year is a bit tough. As they aren't very cheap, sometimes you may end up paying higher than what you've used. I think Amplitude could resolved this by helping their customers roll over some of their unused quotas to the following year.

Amplitude saves tons of time to generate meaningful insights
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it super simple to generate meaningful charts and derive insights from our data. As an engineer, I could spend dozens of minutes writing SQL to achieve the same thing in Amplitude in seconds. It also makes it very quick to share these insights with anyone on my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is if any of the data you need is mislabeled or not in Amplitude, it's quite a bit of work to import it. Admittedly I haven't worked with all the tools they've built to make this more straightforward, but I also know they constantly improve this experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive and user friendly, easy to see event volume and do funnel analysis. User look up and user path features are also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
When downloading user data from a funnel, you can only download user properties and not the event or event properties to further analyze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building funnels for all our features, the solution is very fast and easy to learn. Barrier to usage are few and easily overcome.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amazing tool, makes analytics very easy. Godsend for product managers like me, saves a lot of time that would otherwise go into querying

What do you like best about the product?
1. Amplitude is easy to learn. You need ~1 day of plug and playing with it on real tasks to get acquainted with the most needed functionality. It is easy not only for the product/analytics team but for marketing/content guys too.
2. It has reach functionality. Almost all of our analytics tasks were easy to complete with the help of Amplitude. No need to write separate queries and ask for help from analysts. One of the best things is that you can segment your users however you like to compare the metrics of different cohorts.
3. It is fast. I have never had the irritation of something not being loaded.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is not convenient to work with the charts from the dashboards. Every time you want to change the view of a chart, you have to open this chart separately, change its view and then save it to the dashboard. It would be much more convenient if there were a possibility to change the views directly from the dashboard.

Amplitude really make my work easier!
What do you like best about the product?
It contains almost everything I need for basic analytics. I do not need to write a query again, and just with simple clicks, I could find out the result! Besides that, it also has a lot of built-in functions for users to use, which could give the users a lot of benefits.
In a simple word, Amplitude just helped me solve many questions that might be very hard to query in the past. So I highly recommend using it!

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes complex analysis/calculation could not be realized in Amplitude easily. For example, I want to check the user status, which allows me to see their first login status. With Amplitude, I could not find a proper function or proper way to make it happen, so I had to come back to SQL/Snowflake again to get what I needed.
Besides that, I believe Amplitude could also set more easy to use built-in functions such that in the future we could finish more tasks within clicks:p
Sometimes the server works not very well, will cause some issues such as slow opening or so. If this one will be improved in the future, that gonna be much better!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create user status dashboards for the games. With simple clicks, I could create a chart to present the user status and our KPIs. And Amplitude also has an attractive feature that combines all the charts in a very nice-looking dashboard, allowing other people to check the dashboard quickly.
In a word, Amplitude makes my work more accessible and lets other people check what I've done clearly!

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is an intuitive tool that anyone could use, regardless of their level of data literacy. As a data analyst, I could not imagine my daily life without Amplitude.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core functionality is absolutely great, the setting and data governance part of the product can be a bit sticky to understand at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses Amplitude to understand how our product is being used and how it's performing. Since one does not need to be an analytics wizard to use Amplitude, the main roles using Amplitude are the PMs. Thanks to this, the PMs are much more independent and don't need to bother the analysts with every single little data question they have.
