The perfect tool for Conversion Rate Optimisation
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a fantastic tool; the most helpful feature is predictive analytics and the A/B testing tools. I can easily analyze my A/B and MVT tests, and it gives me accurate and fast results, which I can dissect to explore in a more granular way. The tool is better than any testing platform I've used (VWO, Optimizely, AB Tasty, etc.) mostly because all our analytics and data are integrated into a single platform and we can look at the lifecycle effects of tests after they have concluded.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're used to GA or Adobe Analytics, it may take you a while to get used to, I'd also say its a product geared more towards Product teams than Marketing teams. Amplitude has a unique chart-building mechanic and doesn't come with lots of presets; however, client success team has been exceptionally helpful in setting us up for success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem I am solving with Amplitude Analytics is how different user groups interact with optimizations and design changes to the Landing Pages and checkout flow of our eCommerce site. I've been able to get very granular with the data to explore precisely what's going on and segment the audience based on many helpful parameters. We've increased our conversion rate significantly and learned a great deal about our users and prospect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look into the complementary products like the Recommend and their Testing platform to get the most out of the product.
This is definitely on the of the best analytics tools on the market.
What do you like best about the product?
Especially in combination with the Customer Data Platform Amplitude provides the answers to many many questions each product/marketing team might have.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find anything like that yet, product works perfectly fine, also we have a great support from Amplitude team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to solve most of the problems with the activation and retention. Also, tool helps our support and operations team on a daily basis to solve customer cases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have this product implemented right - you will only be able to leverage it as long as you trust the data. But when implemented right Amplitude will make a huge difference, especially if data team/experts will devote some time to teach the other people to leverage the tool
Analytics with the best usability
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to add charts by the type of report like funnel segmentation, user cohorts etc, It's easier for a first time user to familiarise with the tool and start building dashboards in minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to view a chart and table simultaneously in the dashboard for the same data. Having to pick between view the data in table, chart, KPI metrics

What do you like best about the product?
I love the usability of the product and how easy it is to find info in the documentation.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be always up to date with new features by email. I would also like to pin my user to easily find it in the user lookup area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I track my product metrics and generate insights daily. Amplitude takes up a large part of my day.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like its visualization system, and you can keep lots of data in there. You can check whatever you want in seconds.

there is nothing that I dislike about the amplitude

I don'have any problems with the tool but sometimes it needs some IT jobs so we have to wait for it in the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a really great tool for app/web analytics. You can create lots of data visualizations with that tool and create different dashboards for different teams in the same organization

Being a Product Manager, I rely a lot on data to make the most informed decisions.

more powerful features require a bit of a learning curve, more advanced tutorials are welcomed

User activity, how features are being used, breakdown to mobile vs desktop use and. breakdown by browser
Great tool for Product and Audience Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has allowed us to get quick, actionable insights into our better performing Growth Acquisition channels - as well as understand much more about the behavior of different audience segments using the product. Previously we would have had to do this by submitting requests to the Data team. Although it hasn't completely removed the need to submit data pull requests, over time I see Amplitude increasingly replacing these everyday requests.
The support we were given by the Amplitude implementation and on-boarding teams was very good. We had regular weekly meetings scheduled with an implementation specialist by Amplitude, and he was also available by email - and responded quickly - to any technical doubts the Data team had during implementation.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about Amplitude - the only thing I would like to speed up is user adoption within the company. This isn't a specific problem coming from Amplitude as they have organized onboarding sessions for us, but there is definitely a technical hurdle to overcome - as with any in-depth analytics tool - for new, non-technical users. We're overcoming this now by sharing simpler dashboards so that users can understand their set-up and configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has improved our level of understanding of our best performing acquisition channels - but more in terms of product engagement and usage, and not only in terms of revenue. It has allowed us a better segmentation of users by their signup data, and enabled us to push some anonymized customer data (from the best performing user cohorts) to marketing channels for building lookalike audiences. It's started democratising data access around the company - several of the product owners are now building their own dashboards and regularly sharing data in Slack channels. Overall it's definitely been a step in the right direction to move the business more towards a "Product Led Growth mentality".

I highly recommend Amplitude to any senior Growth or Data people in SaaS who want to take their product insights to the next level.
Powerful product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it easy to analyse data from our product and share insights with the team. Integration with Braze is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside is the amount of time it took our own tech team to implement all of our event and property tagging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying cohorts and syncing them to our omnichannel comms tool with one click is a massive time saver.

Recommend implementing a process with your tech team for adding tagging to all new features as they're developed.
Superb Product Insights Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude provides you with the flexibility to slice and dice your analytics however you want. It is easy to create charts and derive valuable insights from them once you learn to use the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing perhaps would be that I find Mixpanel to be a bit more newbie-friendly. However, with the abundant resource provided by them, it is easy to learn. Another thing would be that it is not super easy to create dashboard templates and make changes post-creation that would reflect all dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We send millions of events to Amplitude which allows us to understand all behaviors of the users. Having the insights of knowing what users are doing at each touchpoint helps us make a better decision when it comes to the product itself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend using Amplitude Analytics for mid to large-sized organization that believes understanding your product usage is of absolute importance. With their abundance of materials and workshops out there on best practices, you'll be on your way to building data-driven products.
Great Product and behavioural Analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very powerful tool which allows us to understand our user behaviour both offline and online. Very simple and intuitive. Used for different needs across the organization. Outstanding customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few things I dislike. Pricing became an issue as we were growing (and our number of events also grew..). We had to remove events in order to avoid overage fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand how our users our mobile APP, how they behave offline and online, understand the impact of our marketing campaigns, the impact of our new features, create cohort analysis, run retention analysis, funnel analysis etc... Amplitude helps us make business decisions, tactical and strategic based on user data.
