Excellent Platform for Product Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Its variety and simplicity for product analysis! I appreciate that you can analyze Segments and Funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the different events had a specific description to understand better when doing various analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps me to understand better why some users convert to purchase while others dont.
Must have tool for any marketer
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is an extremely helpful tool for marketers. I love that I'm able to setup quick funnel analysis to get real-time information on how a campaign is performing. I also love that co-workers are able to copy my analysis and reports and make it their own by adding/removing additional criteria they want to see. For someone who is not very well versed in SQL, Amplitude allows me to still gather insights into audience segmentation and performance as well as make the most of my data without having to running complex queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful part about Amplitude to me personally is that sometimes trying to convert a funnel analysis from numbers into % can be a little bit complex. I think that interface area could definitely would some work to become more intuitive and provide more 1-click options without having to add actual SQL to see a % or any other form of measure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to evaluate the value of different cohorts using our RFM model within Amplitude and really be able to see how different cohorts behave down to the most granular levels such as purchase behavior and spend. I's also a really good tool to be able to quickly evaluate campaign performance.
Best Product Analytics tool with heavy potential to be much more
What do you like best about the product?
There's quality on every feature Amplitude launches (from the segmentation feature to the recommender). They are already a reference in Product Analytics and they're quickly becoming much more. As soon as they work a little bit more in the CPD part (in terms of Govern, quality of data and especially integrations) they will allow clients to forget about CDPs and just have Amplitude as a tool for everything regarding events and analytics. They are also adding intelligence and DS models as a product (anomaly detection, recommender).
What do you dislike about the product?
The price ;) They are super expensive for companies with a high volume of events (such as e-commerce or content platforms).
There are two things that I honestly miss:
- more integrations with third parties (already mentioned in the CDP part above)
- being able to enrich events once they've arrived to Amplitude: because keeping complex logic in the frontends in order to send events with enough properties to do analytics in Amplitude does not make sense, and Backend services also know only the information related to the event they're sending. And Analytics feeds have the information but they cannot send it to Amplitude realtime and enrich the events sent by FE or BE

Stakeholders' autonomy on one side. On the other side, it's very easy to do product analytics without the need to consolidate the tables in the DWH first and then see if those are the aggregates or the funnel that you needed to see in order to understand users and what's happening.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Align with the tech department of your organization in order to decide how to enrich events before they get to Amplitude to be able to make the most of the analytics side of the platform
Very powerfull analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The speed the graphs are shown, the versatility of the tool, and the very important insights you can get from the data. I like the tool very much. I do not have experience with other analytics companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has some constraints such as the events reconciliation or the way the users are unambiguously identified. If you choose incorrectly, there is no way to roll back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mainly looking at the conversions rates and the way our users interact with our product. We measure if our features are used and how they impact global conversion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Choose correctly the events, the user identification, and the questions you want to answer.
Super User-Friendly Analytics Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create dashboards and monitor data! Creating individual metrics and then bringing all the relevant graphs under one roof through dashboard is super simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
When we make changes in one of the standard graphs, it changes in the dashboard as well. Maybe we should have option not to make changes in the dashboard linked graphs. The graphs takes time to load on multiple tabs. I felt it also consumes more battery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, we anlayse DAU and User engagement activities. The tools helped us make informed business decisions and plan our deliverables well in advance so as to work around the growth. Apart from this, we also measure users time spent on the app which is one of the essential metrics for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1. The dashboards make more senses and you can logically connect the dots with the graphs in one go. So irrespective of how many ever data points or metrices you have to measure, you can simply create cohorts and make use of the dashboards.
2. Sharing the links and integrating the Amplitude software to platforms like Slack or Trello makes it super user friendly and convenient at the click of the button.
3. Enjoyed easy creation of data tools to measure metrices.
4. Alerts, email notifications further makes sure that you are not missing on any important updates from Amplitude. This is especially useful when you have your managers or colleagues sharing any dashboard, graph or cohort links that they have created on Amplitude and want you to check them.
5. Giving accesses and sharing the documents through pdf readable or ppt format is helpful too. I strongly recommend Amplitude.

Great analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Super helpful to group sources, frequencies, clusters and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the retention charts could go past 30 days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I understand too sources for retention and engagement.
It was a lifesaver, it had everything I needed and continued to learn much more!
What do you like best about the product?
The help articles, the guides, the clear explanations made it very easy for me to reach my task. I use it solely for data purposes and don't have it with any other tools!
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are close to nonexistent, everything works properly and the way it's designed makes it feel self intuitive to use. I was a beginner and once I got the hang of it it was a breeze. Showcasing common results for the pathfinder chart would be helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking the most common paths our customers take and what they do to get there. It's because of this particular goal that I feel like in the future we should be utilizing Amplitude much more!
Perfect analytics suite for mobile apps
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude allows me to look at my data at so many different angles and really understand what is going on with my apps and my users. I love the user interface and all the different ways I can slice and dice my data. Love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike, but the user interface can be a little sluggish and slow once you have a lot of charts set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to get insight into how users are using our app, and how we can optimize the app to improve some of KPIs. Through Amplitude we have been able to really understand how users are using our apps and able to substantially improve many of our KPIs.

What do you like best about the product?

- Real-time searches with the latest data
- Flexible and intuitive UI that makes using the data and building your own analysis easy and approachable. I have no issues giving business and design full access to this data.
- Offers also a number of different ways to deep dive into the data, allowing analysts to find insights that are not apparent from the basic use cases.
- Several efficient ways to share your results. Especially every single chart having its unique URL that can be copy-pasted to colleagues is incredibly useful.
- Powerful tools for creating, analysing and comparing behavioural cohorts. In most cases, this produces much more relevant results that time-based cohorts.

- If you are willing to pay extra, there are plenty of ways to expand your toolset to make it even more powerful

- Some basic data governance tools are not part of the Enterprise package, but sold as a separate add-on
- Documentation isn't always perfectly clear on what certain features do. It's written to give you an idea what you can do, but not to define all the terminology exactly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude to track the user behaviour on our mobile app and website, as well as some technical data from our IoT devices and the communications between these devices and mobile app. Focus areas include things such as improving the first-time user flow, understanding and segmenting our different user groups, improving the user interface and discoverability of features, targeting communications, and making sure the bluetooth connection to the IoT devices is working as expected.
Over the years we've been able to pin-point pain points in our sign-up flow, re-new our target audience definition, expand the usage of various features by bringing them closer to the users, understand the effects of our communications campaigns, and catch and identify technical issues before or early in the release cycle.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to try Amplitude yourself. There is a decent demo environment available. The free plan and easy SDK make it possible to do a quick test implementation and test the tools with your real data.
Powerful, intuitive and great support.
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a very powerful tool for user behavior visualization and data analysis. It has helped us a lot in identifying areas on our product that needs improvements and thanks to it, we have been able to take action and make informed decisions in areas such as user experience, re-engagement, and retention. It is a very intuitive tool, urser friendly, and easy to set up with other in-house tools for data captured.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is great about Amplitude. No dislikes so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to identify areas in our product that needs attention and that have the potential for improvement, also areas where we are missing opportunities that we could explore further.
