Amplitude is extremely important for our business
What do you like best about the product?
We are constantly creating new features or updating existing ones in our products, and Amplitude gives us all the necessary tools to analyze user engagement, retention, and conversion. Every launch of a new feature MUST come with a related dashboard on Amplitude measuring: feature demand (number of accesses), feature conversion, track of user paths. And the ability to send extra properties with the events allows us to create a much deeper analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss a feature that allows us to overlap different graphics into the same chart, so we can easily correlate one conversion line with others.

Revolutionized the way we think about product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Real-time data, providing extremely fast feedback loops for everyone in the product space... it has transformed the way we think about product and how we measure the success of our new features
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more "advanced" features can be difficult to understand and pull insights out of the charts... Most of the time, we start with a question and have to figure out what chart is best to use in Amplitude which can be time-consuming
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us be more transparent & deliberate with how we think about the success of new features. Amplitude has helped us gain insights into the way our users are using our product so we can begin to take data-informed steps to optimize/improve the feature for our users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Leverage the Documentation provided by Amplitude on their website! The product is really well documented with lots of tutorials & how-tos regarding best practices!
Solid, ultra-fast analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of Amplitude is amazing. You can do your most important product analytics with a couple of clicks and within some seconds that without Amplitude would take hours or more. The simplicity to use will push self-service analytics in your organization and help your data team to focus on data deep-dives instead of spending their time to put basic reporting charts together.
What do you dislike about the product?
- You cannot join any data, so there is no way to enrich your analysis with some insights that you already have in another event or external tables.
- The UI is very basic and there are not many options to customize your charts and dashboards (not even customizing annotations for the graphs)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is our day-to-day tool within our product and product analytics team. You can answer the most important questions about the behavior of your users in a breeze. Funnels, daily/weekly/monthly comparisons etc can be done in a matter of seconds and product stakeholders can do their own analytics without having to rely on data analysts to answer basic questions

If you're looking for fast product insights and a tool that offers self-service analytics across the company, Amplitude is a great fit

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use by non technical users. Additionally, if faster deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limit for a technical user like a lack of write a code query (SQL or python) I hope we can get a sql editor that has access to the raw data. The other thing is that I need to go over devs to instrument my data tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand our users behaviour m. For me it saves me time to market I don t have to build retention analysis from scratch

Make sure you can instrument events by yourself, otherwise Amplitude won't be useful at all. if you depend on other team members, it might take time to start using Amplitude.

What do you like best about the product?
Data processing is very fast and reliable. The variety of charts available from the four basic charts (event segmentation, funnel, retention and user composition) to the advanced chart types (user sessions, personas, engagement matrix, pathfinder, stickiness, compass, lifecycle, revenue LTV and impact) is simply astounding. Segmenting users into cohorts based on their user properties and/or previous in-app behavior is super easy with the User Cohort function, further strengthened by integration with many other third-party tools. Amplitude Analytics also allows for organization-wide knowledge sharing, spreading insight and making data accessible to every member of the organization via Notebook, Dashboard and Team Spaces. The time to insight is dramatically reduced so that buying Amplitude Analytics is akin to purchasing a car - It's so much better and safer if you would simply buy a car instead of trying to build one up from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the product functions very well and has great features, it may be slightly expensive for small companies. Technical integration itself may be easily done via SDKs, but defining what data to collect and classifying into a workable data taxonomy can be difficult at times. However, these limitations are not only applicable to Ampltiude Analytics but also to the vast array of other B2B SaaS products that base themselves upon data collection for proper usage. Some functions are only provided as product extensiosn that require additional purchases to be made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can ask specific and sophisticated questions related to in-product user behavior and visualize charts almost instantly that previously would have taken weeks of back-and-forth communication with engineers or data analysts. I look at various charts from a number of companies using Amplitude every day, and the use cases include identifying their product's critical event, determining product usage interval, spotting trends in retention and user lifecycle. Furthermore, companies often map their user personas to comparea user engagment across different personas, almost always create real-time cohorts, finding inflection points, and running A/B tests to drive insight. Their user guide available online is very helpful, and customer support is highly professional and friendly at the same time. You can expect their customer success team to respond to your inquiries with technical expertise and a sincere willingness to help. You can always check out their free demo online, or even start using the free version right away on a scholarship plan if certain conditions are met.

Inability to add target metrics sometimes limit the benefit I am able to derive from Amplitude.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth considering if you have the engineering workforce to instrument events and analysts to gauge engagement on them. It's a fun tool that does the job just fine.
Powerful, intuitive and essential
What do you like best about the product?
I love the intuitive charts that I can produce, and it's easy to set up filters and visualisations to come up with relevant insights. I also like the real-time tracking that makes it easy to validate correct instrumentation and to check on what events are being tracked if I forget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish moving charts around on the dashboard and notebook was easier. Some of the more powerful features are quite complicated, and the documentation is not always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude Analytics to see what our users are doing, and it allows us to see what's working and what's not. Without it, we would be making product decisions blindly. I like that it helps end speculative discussion when we have relevant metrics to show that grounds the team in reality.

Get it if you want to be data-driven and want to be able to get insights regardless of your data literacy.

Looking at our data in Amplitude informs everything we do and allows us to be a data-driven organization.

Right now it's a learning curve to use Amplitude but once you learn how to use Amplitude it's so incredibly powerful.
