Great for product managers

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a great tool for product managers to dig into funnels, do cohort analysis, and share results with stakeholders. The most time I spend in the tool the more I like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve to get up and running, but that's the case with most tools. So if you're jumping into Amplitude from GA just know it will take time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a growth product manager, many of the problems I'm looking to solve is how to improve our conversion funnel and retain our users. Using the funnel conversion tool I'm able to slice the data to look at specific cohorts to deeper analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just know it will take time to get ramped up if you're coming over from another tool like GA.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate and understand. Redcues manual effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitation on the date range for a report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude mostly for gauging the performance of our clients' marketing campaigns along with the general health of their apps.
Use case:
(a) To easily report on KPIs like installs, CPI, CPO, etc
(b) Understand user personas.
(c) Create cohort of customer and understand thr shopping behavior.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is good, especially for mobile apps.

What do you like best about the product?
Once you wrap your head around the events, you realise amplitude is an amazing tool to answer the most pressing business questions and helps you make the right decisions when needed
What do you dislike about the product?
Rather than showing conversion in my funnels, I want the opposite, drop off. This isn't possible. Also the extension hasn't been working lately for me unfortunately
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want to understand the funnel and segmentation of my product area as a product manager and I use it to keep an eye on key changes to our most important metrics we report on weekly

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that we are able to effectively track user journeys and paths across the site
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that the onboarding process wasn't that seamless and that some of our marketing team (including myself) don't feel skilled-up enough to make some more informed decisions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved so significant issues of users getting stuck within our website, or those that are going around in circles - when it should be a straightforward process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If it integrates well with you your current MarTech set-up then it is really beneficial.

- Multiple types of visualisation support
- Track full-fledged user journeys in a single click
- Easy integration with tech
What do you dislike about the product?
- Learning curve can be a little bit
- Sometimes you need to deep dive in the APIs to figure out some things
- Data flow is support to AWS but not very easily to GCS

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes finding insights, visualizing them, and sharing them extremely simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deriving metrics or performing complex calculations is very limited and frequently results in switches to SQL in other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us measure our web and app performance, diagnose conversion issues, and rapidly run A/B tests to optimize results.

What do you like best about the product?
When amplitude is set up correctly it is very easy to get to insight. The cross platform stitching is very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude is a very user based tool. Coming from visit centric tools might cause issues in how the business view metrics.

What do you like best about the product?
- helpful support team
- some of my needs/questions are anticipated and already answered in the tool
- I'm able to quickly create charts for experiments, not much customization needed
- new URLs are saved per edit
What do you dislike about the product?
- works best when you already know quite precisely what you're looking for and you have an engineer or savvy teammate to contact for questions
- calc is abstracted away from the chart creator... it can be easy to get things wrong if you don't actually work with data much or if you normally write very precise SQL and need this to do the same
- related to last bullet, it's hard/impossible to filter or grab related info about an event or a user the way you would from SQL table joins. It has to exist as an event or user property already.
- stale/unused events come up as suggestions as much as highly used events
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Experimentation that led to users' increased usage of product or locating bugs before rolling out a feature to 100% of users
- General understanding of user behavior, funnel progression, and frequency of using parts of site/product
- Checking for potential bugs - able to notice spikes or drops in certain events as a non-engineer and flag to the right team
