Thorough product and consistently developing improvements with the analytics use-case in mind.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Govern feature and also a lot of the different chart types (clusters, engagement matrix, any involving machine learning modeling). The documentation is pretty thorough as well which makes it easy to use. I haven't used any competitor products in over 2.5 years but starting out you were already better than Mixpanel was in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be better onboarding tools, like an onboarding 'course' of some sort -- I know there's the intro to amplitude webinar course but I find it's very surface level, and something more in-depth for Analysts (vs. business users) would be very useful. Like Looker's trainings and dbt trainings, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for product success metrics, churn analyses, product feature analyses, and more. I struggle to put a $ value though on the benefit of Amplitude, as we haven't had direct revenue impact (though I'm sure there has been indirect impact).
Good experience with Amplitude Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy integration with segment (and other similar tools) and also the out of box dashboard creation features that we get.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major that I can think of, just that some of the out-of-box metrics names were not outrightly clear to me, maybe the names could be more generic/ explanatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude for analytics and dashboard creation and it has served the purpose nicely till now , we are able to see and analyze usage data.
Great full-fledged solution even for highly-regulated use cases!
What do you like best about the product?
As a health tech company, we operate in a heavily regulated environment with very burdensome requirements on how we capture, store, and utilize our user data. From day 1, the Amplitude team was amazing at working with us to identify the right solution for us, including dedicated data clusters that houses data stateside only. From there on, we've been quite happy with the robustness of the platform and the in-app analytics it allows.
What do you dislike about the product?
One knock would be one inherent with this class of monitoring tools, not unique to Amplitude - in order for us to analyze certain behaviors, we would have to first anticipate it and instrument the event ahead of time. This limits our ability to conduct emergent research - watching for any and all user behaviors and letting human eyes or AI to identify patterns that we wouldn't have known to have instrumented ahead of time. This is a small issue and is not a weight on our perception of Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude has been a great tool to help us make data-driven product decisions, both before any product build to evaluate hypotheses and identify opportunities, as well as post-launch to measure effectiveness.
Flexible tool, amazing insights
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible chart options, user-friendly UI
What do you dislike about the product?
You really get out of it what you put into it, so if you're willing to put in the work you can get a ton of value
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product org, we want to track user behaviors to guide the problems we focus on

What do you like best about the product?
Super quick to setup charts and comparisons to validate assumptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to get specific events or anything in a table. Would also be cool if we could write a query using a SQL like syntax and get a draft.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product usage. Have found many broken behaviors over times with opportunities to fix and other successes.
Very useful for self-serve analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest pain point Amplitude has relieved for us in Product Analytics is doing experiment readouts much more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
We still run into instrumentation issues that are more difficult to debug in Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mostly using it for self-serve analytics, and have realized benefits in more efficient experimentation readouts, and ad-hoc data pulls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you feel like your team is spending too much time on lower priority tasks, Amplitude can likely fix that issue.
Great experience
What do you like best about the product?
The UI interactions are just great. It really solves the purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few things are still difficult to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Numbers for customer interaction
Very accessible Analytics tools
What do you like best about the product?
- You can create graphs and explore funnels in only a few quicks and without any technical knowledge: in that way, it is very accessible for any background
- Reports are a key asset when I face the need to deep dive into a problem and share explanations with my team: it is sharable in a click and automatically update, so a report is always relevant even for someone looking at it a few days/weeks after it was created

What do you dislike about the product?
- There are some limitations when deep diving in funnels: sometimes Amplitude can't show a specific (often small) degree of granularity. It may be the case when investigating how someone lands on a page in the case when many different routes lead to this page. This is not blocking but it would be ideal if there won't be any limitations
- Having a direct connection with MongoDB would be great. This would be a plus, but it is possible while using some platforms to aggregate data, but this is outside amplitude.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Tracking the usage of specific features that have been recently released to see their impact on our product
- Tracking how users reach specific pages so that we optimize the funnel for them

What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard feature is very limited. I wish I had more design freedom there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- AB tests
- Product analysis - funnels & main KPIs

Fast and Flexible tool for analytics to inform product, design, and business decisions
What do you like best about the product?
Really helpful and quick time series visualizations of metrics - the events visualization, funnel conversion tool and the pathfinder are probably the most useful for our team
What do you dislike about the product?
no trial of the SQL tool- as a price sensitive start-up, we would be interested in trialing the SQL tool but can't afford to pay a year if it's not justified
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Investor questions, product questions, A/B testing, forecasting
