That you cant build REALLY custom databases with SQL and export them. Would be awesome.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use queries which relate to actual sql.
What do you dislike about the product?
some formulas are cryptic and I dont really want to do to go to the help page to get a detailed explanation everytime, give me a short description as a nudge inside amplitude
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
live Issues debugging adn quality control.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
formulas are a bit hard to get into, rest is breeze.

Great tool for data driven product management

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to quickly create charts on the fly. Especially when I am looking for real-time analysis on real-time activity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is only as good as the data it receives. We still spend a lot of time crafting and sending server-side events to Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acquisition, conversion, and engagement. Benefits have mostly been on the conversion side. Still working on getting better analytics for acquisition and conversion.

Analytics power at your fingertips (with a learning curve)

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is very visual, so it's easy to set up new analyses without knowing anything about the underlying data structures. There's also a tonne of flexibility in terms of what kinds of analyses you can do. Performance is also incredible compared to other tools, even the most complex combination of filters only takes a few seconds to load.

The support team has also been very quick to answer and helpful whenever I've had troubles.

The Chrome extension (Amplitude Instrumentation Explorer) is also a fantastic way to test and debug tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because you can set up analyses so easily without much data analytics expertise, it's also very easy to set things up the wrong way and draw incorrect conclusions. This isn't necessarily the fault of Amplitude, however, it's not always clear what a specific feature does or what a definition means. E.g. How do you define "New" users? It's not always obvious, and whilst their Help Centre is pretty decent, sometimes there are still things which are unclear and can severely affect the conclusions you draw.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Analyse A/B tests—measure whether our changes made a positive/negative impact
- Analyse product adoption, engagement, and retention—better understand how users are using our product

In a nutshell, it allows me to learn and measure success without relying on a data analyst (who might not always be available)

Cool system to understand your data

What do you like best about the product?
The cohorts are amazing: you can add as many filters as you want.
Also the funnels are quite visual and easy to build.
Retention curves are useful when you compare different user segments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not so many integrations (I'm missing an integration with SendGrid to move cohorts to audience lists). Also the Google Sheets add-on is not flexible enough. It'd be great if it had an integration with Google Data Studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are measuring WoW and MoM growth for different cohorts of users, so that we can find the most valuable user types. Attribution via UTM tags is something that is easily solved by using Amplitude.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not track every event if you don't want to run out of quota. Apart from that, no major surprises.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Amplitude can offer different analyses, especially Impact Analysis.
The inbuilt feature allows me to focus on the scope of my research rather than the logistics on how to do it.
i also really enjoy building the publically sharable notebook from a dashboard and being able to have it in a proper format.
What do you dislike about the product?
I usually struggle to copy an existing chart and modify it. My everyday struggles in such cases are :
1. If I am using a formula the copied chart will still contain data from the original chart. The UNIQUES(A) will be the A from the actual events not the current ones I am trying to work on
2. If I want to use the same events for another analysis and I change the chart type from segmentation to impact analysis, the chart breaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is allowing various product managers to monitor the performance of their metrics.
I am really enjoying having a deep dive analysis into recent released events to see how the adoption are for our new features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make maximum use of its features, and the webinars + books are great!
Subscribe to Amplitude so they can send such offers.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand and get started. All features are well thought through and intuitive. Features I particularly like - charts that auto-save, cohort uploads/ analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
For power users, it can get a little laggy at times (e.g. creating 10 segments with multiple filters/ conditions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To understand funnel health and new feature efficacy, behaviours of different cohorts etc.
