That you cant build REALLY custom databases with SQL and export them. Would be awesome.

What do you like best about the product?
How fast I can create insights for my projects and easily share them with my teams. And the variety of charts available kinda fulfills all of my needs in product analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fine tuning features like if I need to remove noise from the actual data (removing impractical data noise)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Majorly we are looking for retention and repeatability behavior of some activity by a user in the app.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use queries which relate to actual sql.
What do you dislike about the product?
some formulas are cryptic and I dont really want to do to go to the help page to get a detailed explanation everytime, give me a short description as a nudge inside amplitude
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
live Issues debugging adn quality control.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
formulas are a bit hard to get into, rest is breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
Excelente tool to track every event and let you know your customers. It was created to be easy and simple for you.
You will find a lot of resources to learn how you could take advantage of every feature.

What do you dislike about the product?
I´d like to add the way to create a kpi/ratio between two cohorts ( Cohort A / Cohort B). I know that you could use Amplitude Notebooks (like notes with charts) but if i want to use an Amplitude Dashboard, it ´d be awesome if i could add a text element to describe the story.
Agregar una forma de crear ratios/kpis entre 2 Cohorts (Cohort A es 30% del Cohort B como ejemplo) y la posibilidad de añadir elementos como los de Amplitude Notebook dentro de los Amplitude Dashboard (Como para el storytelling)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retention, Engagement and Cohort Analysis.
it was easy to analyze our customer behavior with Path Finder and other tools. Funnels let you know where our customer leave us and we create insights across that information.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use. It's easy to build charts, modify them, and not accidentally lose a previous chart I was working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are a bit buried and harder to find, like "Notebooks"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving acquisition issues, acquiring more efficiently and seeing unattributed acquisition. It helps us grow faster/more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to quickly create charts on the fly. Especially when I am looking for real-time analysis on real-time activity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is only as good as the data it receives. We still spend a lot of time crafting and sending server-side events to Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acquisition, conversion, and engagement. Benefits have mostly been on the conversion side. Still working on getting better analytics for acquisition and conversion.

Analytics power at your fingertips (with a learning curve)

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is very visual, so it's easy to set up new analyses without knowing anything about the underlying data structures. There's also a tonne of flexibility in terms of what kinds of analyses you can do. Performance is also incredible compared to other tools, even the most complex combination of filters only takes a few seconds to load.

The support team has also been very quick to answer and helpful whenever I've had troubles.

The Chrome extension (Amplitude Instrumentation Explorer) is also a fantastic way to test and debug tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because you can set up analyses so easily without much data analytics expertise, it's also very easy to set things up the wrong way and draw incorrect conclusions. This isn't necessarily the fault of Amplitude, however, it's not always clear what a specific feature does or what a definition means. E.g. How do you define "New" users? It's not always obvious, and whilst their Help Centre is pretty decent, sometimes there are still things which are unclear and can severely affect the conclusions you draw.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Analyse A/B tests—measure whether our changes made a positive/negative impact
- Analyse product adoption, engagement, and retention—better understand how users are using our product

In a nutshell, it allows me to learn and measure success without relying on a data analyst (who might not always be available)

Cool system to understand your data

What do you like best about the product?
The cohorts are amazing: you can add as many filters as you want.
Also the funnels are quite visual and easy to build.
Retention curves are useful when you compare different user segments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not so many integrations (I'm missing an integration with SendGrid to move cohorts to audience lists). Also the Google Sheets add-on is not flexible enough. It'd be great if it had an integration with Google Data Studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are measuring WoW and MoM growth for different cohorts of users, so that we can find the most valuable user types. Attribution via UTM tags is something that is easily solved by using Amplitude.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not track every event if you don't want to run out of quota. Apart from that, no major surprises.

What do you like best about the product?
+ Ability for me, a marketer, to create my own dashboards, notebooks, and charts for analyzing the performance of user-facing campaigns
+ Ability to upload cohorts of users from CRM tooling experiment groups
+ Findability of charts made by other team members
+ Ability to define custom events (groupings of events, e.g. "all editing actions", "actions from the sharing flow") to make analyses quicker/broader
What do you dislike about the product?
- It was a steep learning curve to get to where I am now - and even now, I'm sometimes stumped as to how to create some advanced charts or tables. It's definitely not a tool you can just integrate and "let loose" across the organization - some coaching from your analytics team is required, for sure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
+ Self-serve analyses that non-BI team members can run, based on existing user attributes & custom events
+ Creating dashboards for tracking progress on initiatives or KPIs
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Biggest benefit and drawback at the same time: it will help everyone in the business who has an account get easy access to all usage data stored, and be able to look for patterns, insights, and progress indicators on their own.

What do you like best about the product?
It's really really fast to find answers, it's logical and really flexible. I also absolutely loooove the Pathinfder tool, that let you analyse users paths, and that you can share a graph without worrying about edit rights (since you cannot erase charts by mistake). Honestly I love everything about that tool, I would not be able to go back to other tools.
Since it's so fast, you end up making much much more analysis, you are not constrained by the tool, just by your imagination (and what you tracked in your product)
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm making a lot of charts but I never think about saving them, and finding them back afterward in not the easiest thing, so most of the time I end up making them again from scratch (since it's pretty simple and fast)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Targetting users for user research. Finding leverage to improve AARRR. Measure feature success. Gain insight of user behaviors at different points of our product. Showing data to the rest of the company.
