Workato makes developing integrations a joy ! Its game changing
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that in a few minutes I can get an integration built which is robust and fault tolerant. I like all the tools they provide to help you debug and develop additional functionality like the custom sdks.
I like that they have a lot of the key connectors we use like Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, S3, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc
I also love the support I get from the team developing new functionality or looking into any issues.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike! I guess they have so much functionality sometimes new people using it don't know about it so figuring a way to bundle sets of recipes to get started on could be good. They do write really good blog posts and documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Worflow automation via Slack and integrations between our enterprise applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We compared Workato to Mulesoft and Boomi. Mulesoft is good for developers and a more SOA architecture. We needed a tool which works for analysts and end users as well. Workato provided this and also gave us lots of time to do evaluation and understand our use cases. Workato's pricing is fantastic given that you get umlimited compute power and the connector charges are reasonable for all that you get. Workato was reviewed by our security team and was able to pass all of the tests to make sure they are safe and security compliant. We use SSO with Workato.
A great tool for great automation
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of application are known by Workato making integration between them really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being use to develop my own script in python, powershell, bash, ... I was frustrated sometime to see that actually coding my own script would be faster/easier for some specific function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Facilitating tickets creation on Service Now through Slack using high level language.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to learn, and the support is pretty efficient, don't hesitate to use the chat window that sometimes pop-up in the bottom right corner they are pretty quick to reply.
Powerful Data Integration tool that's also easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Workato has connectors for all major applications. You can create a recipe with a few clicks. There is a community with thousands of public recipes that users can import into their own recipe. Workato has a robust on-prem connector.
Workato triggers are rather impressive. For example, if an Opportunity in Salesforce is WON then perform X action in another application - Workfront, or if a new invoice is created in Quickbooks then perform action Y in application B.

We were able to respond quicker to data integration needs within the organization. The solution was easy to use and didn't require consulting, this a cost saving.
Workato allowed us to go from brainstorming to delivering within minutes. Often times we can do this right in the meeting room as the ideas are floating in our heads.

The company has been built by some of the industries most respected and accomplished integration experts. They have relooked at one of the most challenging IT problems and solved it/ addressed it with the latest and most Innovative options available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recipe is for complex, enterprise use cases are still being developed. The platform has a ton of potential and these are early days. They need a broader install base and adoption that will come with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise Integration and project based cloud Integration.
Sr. Director Cloud Operations
What do you like best about the product?
That it's a very powerful and intuitive tool that enables non-developers to create simple to sophisticated automation solutions that can be applied to many different use cases and scenarios. Implementation time was very fast. We were able to move from a proof of concept to production use in little more then a month. The Workato team is exceptional in that they work very close with the customer to ensure that they achieve maximum value from the product and continue to engage with us long after we subscribed to the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
While not a significant issue the UI to create a "recipe" can take a little time to become familiar with but once you have some experience it's easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Workato to automate simple tasks such as handling and processing notifications via mail to building complex routines to facilitate orchestration of specific business processes. Workato is like an army of bots that allow our team to focus on more meaningful work.

using for 5 months and so far nothing to complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating our Cyber Security user training and awareness feedback. Workato has allowed us to integrate various platforms and their respective logs, and in turn assisted us in our ability to paint an entire picture pertaining to the risk posture of a particular user and their respective device(s.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integrates w many application on the cloud and on premises.
From Nothing to Working integrations in minutes
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of being able to quickly add connections and see data moving from source to target applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance for large batches of data has been less than optimal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that data from our customer master (NetSuite) and CRM (Salesforce) is available and accurate. Ability to quickly integrate with messaging platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Support team has been very responsive to a host of issues weather the issue was related to Workato or was something that we had done.
Enterprise class no-code integrations and automations
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for business analysts to quickly spin up integrations and be able to iteratively improve them as their process needs change. The range of enterprise systems supported. Single platform that supports the needs of IT and the business. Very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is always room for product and content improvement. Would love to see more content for builders on advanced use cases and advanced how-tos. Would love to see some enhancements to make error handling easier. Little things like that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used in a number of places in our business and we recommend Workato to clients for all sorts of use cases. Internally we use it to integrate Quick Base procurement apps with NetSuite, to integrate Quick Base lead management apps to Marketo, to automate sales commission calculations in Quick Base, and to integrate with all sorts of cloud utililties like Box, Dropbox, Slack, SMS and to generic REST endpoints.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Powerful integration platform for agile businesses empowering those closest to the work. Be mindful of building organizational competence, while no-code, there is still a learning curve and a scripting/logic background is helpful. Dedicate an individual to be your initial power builder to get over the initial learning curve,
Great for DevOps use cases
What do you like best about the product?
I can very quickly build workflows to solve my day to day problems.
The on-prem agent is easy to deploy and makes it easy to connect to our applications (like JIRA) running within my company's network without requiring to open any firewall ports.
The REST connector and Workato SDK makes it easy for me to connect to any HTTP endpoint or build my own connector. It has great support for webhooks. Also, the ability to add your own actions to existing Workato connectors is a really handy way to expand connector functionality.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more devops related pre-built Integrations in the Workato community, especially around Bitbucket and Confluence.
More documentation/suggestions on how to recover from application API errors.
More documentation/suggestions on how to recover from application API errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JIRA, Jenkins, Gitlab, Confluence, etc. and use Workato to automate workflows across these apps. I use Workbot for Slack to control these workflows and receive notifications in Slack.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Workato makes it easy to create and modify recipes, to get started with a basic scenario. You can then measure and improve over time. Recipes are versioned, so you can always switch back to an older version.
Surprisingly broad solution with powerful use cases and extensive collection of recipes
What do you like best about the product?
Time to value realization is very fast. Impressed with the ease of use and versatility. You can start with simple point solutions, get quick results and then scale fast to multiple broad areas. Innovative bot building solutions allow you to go beyond cloud integration and workflow. Having been in the integration space for couple of decades, I was impressed by how digital transformation can be accelerated through appropriate use of Workato. Many of our customers had legacy integration, middleware, BPM and SOA tools but the simplification without sacrificing enterprise support has made Workato their go to choice now. In many ROI calculations, Workato comes way ahead.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less of a dislike but more of challenge. Many of our customers seem to start with workato in a specific area due to existing recipes or immediate needs and lose out on the broader solution patterns. Some additional pointed documentation might highlight opportunities to leverage investments better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problems was rapid rollout of new automated solutions for capturing key events and exceptions and translating them into workflow as new business capabilities were being rolled out. Some use cases were around big data and Splunk driven workflows while others were rapid responses to events in SalesForce, Slack or other engagement systems. A few customers were working on reducing legacy footprint using Workato to handle legacy integrations with cloud and front end systems. The key benefits were speed of implementation, better collaboration between business and IT, new capabilities not available with legacy integrations already in the enterprise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not try to be boxed within legacy integration models. Look at the rich collection of use cases and see the best fit for your business problem. Once you get the initial experience, go back and look at the broader enterprise needs and see ways to scale. While recipes with ServiceNow, SalesForce, Slack, etc are obvious look for the innovative workflows that can give your business users the edge. We do not see this as completely driven by business users but a lot better business aligned than most IT centered solutions out there.
