Good foundations and could become benchmark with additional improvements
What do you like best about the product?
User interface is overall pleasing, split workflow editor, OOTB connectors, audience studio easy to use for non technical people, great flexibility of tools/capability including Python/Spark and SQL.
Prototyping is also really and we can show tangible results to clients - speed to market is impressive.

What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation quality and itss access (advanced and basic features) are simply poor.
Lack of technical knowledge of support even though they are very reactive.
Some late features released are not tested properly
Extra effort to incorporate into CI/CD pipelines
No check-in/out of workflows and lack of development flexibility

User friendly and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
the simplicity with which you can set up a project , run a workflow or a query.
What do you dislike about the product?
the interface cannot be edited. Small little bugs during the editing of the workflows that on a daily basis may be annoying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are receiving data from different sources. By scheduling workflows, we propagate/transform data according to business requirements.
Also we implemented validation rules, segmentation rules, deduplication rules, housekeeping rules, scheduling rules, policies rules

What do you like best about the product?
Allow us to connect our data sources to any visualization tool so we are not dependent on the analytics module of our sales and ERP platforms

Cost can go up very quickly if the data is not managed well and too many connectors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to make sure that we are not dependent on a single visualization tool. We wanted a way to democratize our data. Treasure Data helped us to achieve that goal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a way to connect SFDC or your ERP data to visualization tool, TD is perfect
Great support and progressive platform improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The support is very fast, and it was easy to implement and develop workflows to manage the data.
We acquired services from a Technical Account Manager that help us escalate any matter that can cause impacts on the usage and deployment of the solution.
Treasure Data team is working continuously on implementing new connectors and improvements on the platform, recently it was deployed a new visualization tool, which will fullfill our needs in visualize better the data available in the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some interfaces that are intended to end users are not that user friendly and might cause some confusion to less technical users, like filters that don't make much sense depending on the data field.
Activating consumers, depending on the implementation complexity and the destination platform can take some time to get used to. The integration between Treasure Data and activation channels (Facebook, Instagram, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc) can be really technical to end users to understand if the activation was successfull or not.
The platform lacks on more detailed roles and permissions related to data access.

This solution was deployed to remove all data silos that we have across the company. With Treasure Data we were able to keep all data in a single structure, and the platform allowed us to manage the data access and visibility quite well. We stablished secure ways to activate the consumers with proper consent across multiple activation channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan your deployment ahead considering the size of your organization. We strongly recommend contracting a Technical Account Manager from Treasure Data, which will significantly speed up your requests for enhancements, tickets, as well will help big time on new deployments.
There's nothing they won't try to do for you
What do you like best about the product?
In my experience, the company opened a direct slack channel with our company, and I had bi-weekly calls to ensure that our needs were being met. The funniest part was, 24/7 chat was available on the site the whole time and I had no idea – I just such good communication on the slack channel, I always went there. Treasure Data is capable of being your data visualization software, your data warehouse, and your customer journey orchestration software. We currently use TD to feed Facebook an API connection that informs Facebook who has ever been our customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're not already an enterprise company, like us who are emerging as an enterprise company, it can be confusing what TD and other CDPs can and cannot do. When we started, Treasure Data didn't have the data visualization services it has now. So, at the time, it was clear we could have powerful multi-touch attribution to our marketing data. However, without a clear and easy way to visualize it, we didn't have the power to important many people of our team. Now, that we have visualization from TD, it's much easier for me to demonstrate the power of the platform. Similarly, Treasure Data can offer plenty of real-time data for website personalization, however, we didn't have a website CMS that could accept that information. We're still working on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted multi-touch attribution and customer journey orchestration. We found that we could have those things, but also more in terms of having a single source of truth – even while we transition e-commerce software.

Transformative CDP
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is being able to have a data lake in the CDP, along with being able to cross-query multiple data sets at once. It allows me to query across multiple data segments from many platforms that are integrated with Treasure Data. This is a significant advantage to having to manually import data and then cross query. Automating are data flow has increased our record count to over 5,000,000,000 records. There would be no feasible way to import that much data, manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the difficult things about Treasure Data is that it does require a higher level of technical skills, primarily knowing how to use SQL. Requiring the knowledge of SQL limits the ability to most of our marketing staff to be able to easily use Treasure Data for immediate data parsing and analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving cross-segment sales prospecting. We can understand buying behavior for different audience personas, allowing our marketing team to be very targeted, yet nimble, in our operations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As aa recommendation, have a person or team that is skilled in data and analytics. They can be a novice, but need to have an understanding of how to use SQL, and more specifically Presto.
Very robust platform but still lacks in flexibility.

Flexibility in more advanced cases. Sometimes, we bump into some hard limits that demand few hours to pass.

We need a single platform to collect, understand and activate consumers.

Understand well the technical limitations before architect your dataflow.

What do you like best about the product?
Like the concept of batch and real time segments. Also many activations can be attached to 1 segment, that is really helpful. We need to create only 1 segment for various activations to various platforms which is really easy and saves time and enables smooth flow of data. Also we can includes python script in workflows which is really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The field in a behaviour segment cannot be used in the output mapping which restricts the passing of that field in Salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Treasure data for continuous flow of data between our database (snowflake) to Salesforce which we use for email.

The user interface is really easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer support team pay allot of attention on the customer needs and across all time it helped us with new ideas and implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some specific integrations with facebook and google cloud that did not work properly and we had to create our own tool with treasure data. But even that was resolved fast by the combination of our team and the customer support team from ARM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating a unified platform with real time segments and offline conversions segments. So that we can customize the user experience in our site and improve with that our value to our users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is expensive, but it has allot of value when implemented. Plan ahead and make sure that you can bring out the full extent of the tools power. With that you will sure be improving.

What do you like best about the product?
Arm Treasure Data is a critical platform that we use to be able to enrich our customer data, actively engage with new and our current customer base, and leverage out-of-box machine learning technology to recommend the most effective engagement paths. From a business problems oriented approach, Arm TD has allowed us to utilize the necessary proactive technology to increase customer retention and experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Arm Treasure Data out-of-box machine learning technology is valuable but not as customized for specific businesses. Instead, we build other specific models outside of the environment and append as necessary. They have a great infrastructure to approach that space and looking forward to see the adjustments made to cater towards that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arm Treasure Data is allowing us to instill a data-driven approach to the way we look at customer acquisition, retention and experience. Its ability to integrate our enriched data warehouse to activation channels, allows for a customized engagement that can be replicated on a continuous basis.
