Customizable Boards and Time-Saving Automations Make Work Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
You can customize the boards and groups to fit exactly what you need, and the automations really help save time by instantly updating everyone in the group about any changes. The implementation process was straightforward; when I first set it up, even people who were completely unfamiliar with the platform and not very tech-savvy were able to get onboarded with minimal assistance. The customer support is excellent, with an almost immediate response time that resolves issues nearly every time. I use it daily to manage all finance, accounting, and administrative processes. As for integrations, once you get used to them, they become easier to set up. However, the new 'help me build with AI' feature can sometimes alter your intended workflow, requiring you to redo things manually, but overall, it's manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up dashboard views can occasionally be quite challenging. While Vibe offers all the necessary features for app creation, I found that the beta version was plagued with numerous bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform allows me to track the entire back office process, from creating invoices and monitoring their status changes to managing payment terms. It also provides access to all accounting and administrative information, including insurance policies and employee documents. Everything is visible, always up to date, and available in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ease of use and flexibility that monday Work Management provides. Its simplicity makes it a great tool to maintain a smooth routine for organizing and tracking various tasks, notes, and communications—unlike other tools that feel cumbersome or are not designed for such comprehensive coverage. I find the ability to coordinate tasks among team members in different time zones very helpful, allowing us to keep track of what needs to happen efficiently. The macro search functionality is incredibly useful for finding conversations or names quickly, which has become one of the most helpful features for me. monday Work Management hits a sweet spot in terms of complexity and flexibility, distinguishing itself from other task management systems that are either too simple or too complex. The initial setup was effortlessly easy, which was a big plus. Overall, monday Work Management meets my expectations by providing a reliable, manageable solution for keeping track of various work requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that monday Work Management lacks a consistent standardized database, which makes it challenging to manage contact information efficiently. When I input contact information from events or conferences, the data easily falls into silos rather than being integrated into a unified master CRM. I need a smarter contact database that can consolidate and tag contacts based on where and how I met them, and offer insights into their potential relevance to events or products. Additionally, customizing monday Work Management for specific needs after initial setup is difficult. Having AI guidance or expert support for configuration would make it easier to extract full value. It would also be beneficial to have improved integration recommendations for tools like LinkedIn and Apollo.

I use monday Work Management to track data and tasks, coordinate distributed work across time zones, and streamline communication with CRM features. It effectively helps manage content creation, event management, and ensures all team members stay aligned.

I really appreciate Monday Work Management for its effective notification updates. I find it incredibly helpful in keeping me informed when a project transitions from one status to another. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by everything that monday Work Management has to offer. While there might be more functionalities available, our company focuses only on the parts we use, which makes me think that there's a lot we don’t utilize. But for the aspects we do use, it works excellently.

I use monday Work Management to avoid losing information, centralizing project details, files, and updates in one place, enhancing collaboration and communication within the team.

It's very customizable to your own needs for each project and each board, especially the amount of automation possibilities to make sure nothing gets missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Why does the in-app calendar start on Monday? I know it's probably a fun little reference to the name, but it really messes with my head. Also, I wish comments could be more thoroughly integrated somehow. It's very easy to overlook them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to collaborate with my team, especially when we are working on things asynchronously (which ends up being a lot of the time--we always have multiple projects in the air at once). Plus, automated notifications for repeated workflows make sure nothing gets missed.

Monday work Management runs my work life and my personal life. I would be paralysed without it. I use it every day, and it's super simple to use, which makes it even easier to integrate into work and play.

I only want more functionality. I want to be able to use more automations, and have more connections between different boards and workflows.

I can have all my tasks in one place and the grouping function allows me to keep track of every individual project.

What do you like best about the product?
It's thorough and adaptable. It has columns and features for any one organization's need. It helps me stay on track with all my projects, when fully implemented.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is only as strong as its weakest link. I think it's a little intimidating at first, which drives people away. If a few people don't use monday, the boards fall apart (because of subitem dependencies, deadlines, etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me keep track of it all. The forms feature is particularly beneficial for my team, as we have franchisees, who submit creative requests that then get populated right into the Ad-Hoc board we have. This, along with repeatable tasks like our blog and email schedule, fits all of our needs.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used a lot of work and task management systems and Monday.com is most suitable and flexible for my needs. Creating something bespoke is relatively simple and if you know what you are doing then you can create some quite clever solutions to help with workflow and task management. I used the customer support service and it was quick and responsive.
The learning curve is pretty easy and there are some built in templates and features that are really useful.
This meant that I was able to use it for simple task management quickly, while a few YouTube videos helped with some of the more technical aspects of the system and how it worked.
I now use the system every day to manage my workload and the team are increasingly using it to keep on track of each others project workloads.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some aspects that caught me out when I first started using it. Firstly, when setting up 'boards' automations can be added without your knowledge and if you don't want to be constantly emailed or have colleagues updated, then you need to know to turn these off.
Also, by default your boards are accessible across the company. I thought the main workspace was a private area, but if all boards are showing everywhere, then you end up with an unmanageable list of projects you aren't involved in.

This means that you may end up with an expert who sets up the boards and understands how they work and where the connections are, but if they leave people will be in trouble. That's not much different from having a specialist in Excel leave and people struggling to keep their spreadsheets working.

An increasing number of complex projects needed careful management. Each project had more than 100 tasks and there were dozens of them, so keeping track was difficult, while workflow wasn't consistent between each one.
I used Monday.com to create a template of the tasks for each project, then each time a new project starts, it is downloaded and used as a reminder of what needs doing and a ticklist to monitor progress.
Now, if I leave a project for a while, I can quickly remember what steps I had completed, as long as I am consistent about keeping notes in the system and ticking off tasks as they are completed.
I am also using Portfolios to automatically show a summary of task progress.
