Incredible platform for collaborating, project tracking and many more

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is a great tool for planning projects, tasks and anything imaginable. They come with powerful automation that can help you to streamline your work and improve your productivity. Our team use it for project management, tracking down operation procedure, membership management and many more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cross-board features are still pretty limited. Automation, and mirror columns, the reason our team loves Monday.com, are a bit limited regardinges to sub-items. This prevents it from completely replacing our Excel sheet. Additionally, data manipulation and pivoting are only reserved for Enterprise subscriptions. It is strange considering this should be a default feature when Monday.com presents itself as the complete replacement for the Excel sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com offer a flexible way to plan and organise tasks and projects that currently no other tool yet to provide. The automation feature also helps it to stand out as you can automate administrative tasks and create a workflow that optimises for what you do without having to rely on another program such as Zapier.

The best platform for project management solutions

  • March 27, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
I tried a number of project management platforms on free trials before lchoosing monday.com as my subscription tool of choice.

The flexibility of the platform lends itself to the multifaceted nature of my particular service related business meaning I can create and manage projects of various levels of complexity all in the one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, if there is something I dislike about monday.com then I've not found what that is yet! I've been working on the platform for almost a year now and whatever challenge I have for the software the solution is there for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform is allowing me to manage multiple projects at the same time by creating 'boards where I can track project completion and manage workload management.

Makes running your own business easy!

What do you like best about the product?
Out of all the platforms out there, it's not only affordable for a small business and has a variety of offerings to utilize. If I need a project management type board set up, if I need campaign management, it's easy. The thing that turned me off about other boards was their lack of understanding of project and program management, and their products were never fully set up to maximize those types of business needs. Monday makes it easy and also is visually pleasing because, let's be honest, we all want to graduate from excel and Gant chart views...!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain capabilities that are only available when you pay more or have premium packages. As a small (1-person) consulting business this can be a little bit of a roadblock.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A one-stop shop for my clients to view all the work and deliverables that I am working on for them. Provides timelines, places for them to edit material and no need for me to be part of their internal system.

Very good option for project management

What do you like best about the product?
First, we implemented monday.com to have a central platform where we could see the progress of all our projects and communicate effectively with our team. It was easy to use and we liked being able to create custom dashboards for each project and add tasks, deadlines, work orders and feedback for the team.

The biggest advantage of using monday.com was that it not only allowed us to track the progress of projects, but also increased team collaboration. The tool allowed us to share files, discuss ideas and keep each other informed in real time. The mobile app also allowed me to stay in touch with my team when I was out of the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, there were some limitations, such as having to pay for some advanced features, but the benefits of the tool turned out to far outweigh the cost. Also, once the team became familiar with the platform, there were no major problems implementing it into their workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to solve several issues, such as lack of team visibility and communication, missed deadlines and lack of tracking of project progress. The tool helped us track the progress of each task and meet deadlines.

Great Collaboration Platforfm

What do you like best about the product?
We have several employees that keep track of their own, individual projects they manage, but Monday.com allows other employees to check in to see the status or latest news about that project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I would like more admin control, but that's not Monday.com's fault. It is our IT administrator's choice. Sometimes I think a new column would be great to add, but I cannot add it. And it takes our IT admin a long time to add it, if they even do. I guess it comes down to flexibility or how to view the information. I can customize and save my own views (sorted columns the way I want to see them, etc.), but I can only do so much without Admin rights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each employee has their own files on their own computers, but once they upload them to Monday.com, we can all get the ability to see them. Anyone in the company can check in on the status of someone else's project, and where it falls in our workflow. I get alerts to new activity, updates, etc., then I am able to check in on the items I would like more information on, without having to contact the person (waiting until they are available).

Monday works for what it works for

What do you like best about the product?
The color coding of the projects makes it easy to pick up where you left off and also stay on the same page with your team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There wasn't enough CRM training and ability in the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday solves the project management portion of my job, and it is helpful to have things color coded. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do on the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
Plenty of room to dive deep into what tasks the software can accomplish, but not immediately apparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project tracking, time-management, collaboration across multiple people and departments.

Very easy to use, customize and automate workflow

What do you like best about the product?
As a small company, we used Monday.com to help plan many aspects of our business, from sales and marketing to inventory and installations. We used Monday.com to plan projects, schedule daily production and act as a repository for tradeshow and other marketing material. It was great to have everyone in the company on the app to access the information, whether at the office or on a project site. It helped us reduce production errors by adding workflow for approval at various project stages. We found the pre-set training to onboard new employees extremely helpful and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Feedback from our crew, who only accessed Monday.com via the app, found it frustrating to scroll through the columns and see the information. We had some instances when a task added disappeared and had to be added again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com allowed every employee to have access to real-time information about a project. This reduced errors in production. We customized a board to track inventory in production and complete which saved us money when we could utilize existing inventory rather than manufacture a new piece.

Monday is a flexible project planning platform with many useful integrations and default features.

What do you like best about the product?
Many built-in features like statuses, timelines, reports, data types, and possible integrations (JIRA, Slack) help quickly add value to project management team members
What do you dislike about the product?
Rigidness of the boards and limits to how calculations can either require multiple boards created to achieve the goals or bring excel back into the mix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of entire project lists and tracking progress across the entire organization (even creating visuals) to help communicate to the entire company.
