Efficient Project Management, But Extra Charges Add Up
What do you like best about the product?
Work management does an excellent job of helping you stay organized and on track. It makes project management more efficient and ensures that your seniors are kept informed, so you don't have to reach out to them constantly. Although I haven't used the AI features I have seen that they are really good at helping you complete the work rather than manage it.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to have a clear idea of your goals before you start, as you can't just begin with a blank template. It's important to understand what your end goal is and what you want to accomplish so you can plan backwards to achieve it. Monday doesn't necessarily provide support for this process. Also, if you need to use an app, there is an additional charge. There are also extra fees if you exceed your AI credits or go over the allowed number of automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rely on Monday to keep a log of our data reports. It serves as our main platform for task management, and we have recently begun exploring its project management features as well.
Effortless Board Creation—Wish We Started Sooner!

UI & ease of creating boards. Customer support is amazing.

Easy to Use with Helpful Automations, But Some Apps Cost Extra
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, simple to look at, and the automations are have helped so much to take manual tasks away. So easy to integrate with certain apps!
What do you dislike about the product?
Having some of the apps not free, that could make things so much easier is really frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having project plan boards linked to a portfolio view, before it was all manual using Google sheets, and project managers had their own versions of project plans, and using different systems. It was really frustrating!

Having a central repository where I can record all of my to do list in a structured format.

There are functionalities to analyse information which feels more straightforward to perform on tools outside of Monday.com
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all of my existing tasks and being able to monitor progress & setting deadlines. Moving away from older solutions like notepad to Monday which has better visibility on outstanding tasks.

The teams really like the appearance of the platform, it's clean, colourful and easy to learn the basics quickly.

I'd love the native Salesforce integration to be stronger. there's more we can do through API's but I want to scale the implementation capabilities quickly, and I get stuck.

It's giving our delivery teams a clear format for their project plans - smoother more efficient work in one area supports our overall business goals.

Intuitive and Collaborative, But Needs More Flexibility Across Boards
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and use. I appreciate the collaborative features, which support effective teamwork. The system continues to grow and develop, and its intuitiveness stands out, enhancing the overall experience.

I find it frustrating that I can't use sidekick across different boards. Additionally, I would appreciate having the option to create portfolios that can contain other portfolios.

Excellent Project Tracking, but Occasional Glitches and Notification Overload
What do you like best about the product?
It provides a very clear and logical project management tool to help us track our projects - of which we run around 600 per year.
I find the notifications and the ability to keep all communications in one place incredibly helpful - although sometimes the sheer volume of notifications I receive can be overwhelming.

What do you dislike about the product?
We have experienced a number of glitches with Monday that take time to resolve - and sometimes our partner organisation cannot always help with this. I find it quite frustrating that Monday uses AI bots for their support channels, that to date have yet to actually resolve our issues.
We are currently experiencing problems with automations being retained (and active) on project boards created from templates - and this has taken weeks to resolve. I believe the issue began when Monday created the 'template centre' which removes templates from specific work areas and houses them together. All Monday support team have told us is that this is expected behaviour - when the same process can create three different outcomes... how can that be?
We also experience a high number of sync issues - maybe this is due to the volume of projects we run, but we are on the whole a small company and I cannot believe we run more projects than large companies - so I don't know why we have so many problems with information being missed because of sync issues/outages. We also don't have visibility of when this happens, making the data unsafe/inaccurate.
