Organize Your Team and Your Life Like Never Before: My Experience with Monday
What do you like best about the product?
As a school principal, I manage multiple projects every day — from academic planning to team coordination. Since I started using Monday.com, everything runs more smoothly. I now use it for every single project, both at school and in my daily life. It's incredibly easy to use and helps me stay on track through each step of the process until I get the results I want. My team feels more confident because they clearly understand what needs to be done and when, and communication has improved significantly. Monday.com has truly become an essential tool for keeping us organized and productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I really like everything about Monday.com — it’s intuitive, flexible, and keeps my projects on track. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that sometimes it takes a bit of time for new team members to get used to all the features, especially if they’re not very tech-savvy. But once they get the hang of it, they love it too! So it’s more of a learning curve than a real drawback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Monday, it was challenging to keep everyone on the same page — tasks would get lost, deadlines were unclear, and communication was scattered across emails and chats. Now, Monday solves all of that by giving my team a central place to plan, assign, and track every project. Everyone knows what they’re responsible for, when it’s due, and how it connects to the bigger picture. It has improved accountability, collaboration, and clarity across all departments in the school.
A Simple BUT Powerful Work Project Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn. Our team has found this program very easy to learn and to use. We're going into our second year, and it's become second nature. So easy to customize and ensure effective communication for any project. You know it's working well when you barely need to think about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional update glitches, rare but may take a few minutes for updates to push out to all users. When I have had requests the monday.com is very diligent in following up and considering our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a complicated production schedule and monday.com is improving our process - plus saving tons of paper!
One of the original innovators in smart and collaborative "sheets"
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I like most about monday.com is its flexibility. We're figuring out ways of tracking Vitally data and triggering events to keep our team more informed about managed services clients and project updates. Just a fantastic way to manage workloads and expectations, especially with the ability to tag people and track progress. I also love that we can share boards with clients to keep them in the loop about progress and projects we've collaborated on. +1 for the transparency this adds to the process, and helps our customers understand better how we add value to their podcasting and content marketing efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there isn't anything I really dislike. One piece of constructive criticism would be to alter the sensitivity of the sidebar popping up every time you click on a text field. It would be nice to edit more smoothly without that sometimes intrusive contextual information slideover from appearing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving problems with understanding employee expectations, contributions, and workloads. It is aiding in our communication process with clients, and it's making updating this information enjoyable and useful. We love the quirky culture behind monday, and your team is so great at answering our questions/providing support.

Scheduling and managing projects with this app have been an excellent integration in our office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited amount of projects that you can open a the same time and also the navigation when something you are looking for quick but you have to open multiple proyects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordination and communication between all departments in our office. Also, it simple to track whats everyone is working on.
Monday has been a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
We are a small mortgage brokerage and while we have a LOS system with a pipeline, I like to keep a separate pipeline with my own views and notes for quick reference. I used to use excel but decided I wanted something better and gave Monday.com a go as a free trial. I use it for EVERYTHING now. I have all my realtor contacts loaded in there and next to each loan on my pipeline, you can now click the agent's name and it will pop up the link to the realtor contact board I have, with all of their contact info, etc. I have a board with all my lenders on it. You click that on my loan pipeline view next to each loan and the AE's contact info is right there, their lock policy, UWing guidelines, everything. I have spent time building it out but now that it's done - I'm obsessed!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't dislike anything, but there are features I wish I had from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and time-saving. I've automated a lot of emails I was sending manually to my team. That took entire tasks off my plate!
The up-and-comer that's great for non Program Managers
What do you like best about the product?
monday.com has an ease of use that would get buy-in at almost any level. The ability to add needed fields, the UI/UX of the application comes across as it's just like another web-based app your users are probably already used to. Being able to have different document types all collected in one place makes communication a breeze.
There is an active marketplace for add-ons that can extend monday to better suit your needs. Their community is active, and with a few searches, you can find your solution, or build your own.

What do you dislike about the product?
While great for more free-form projects, it has limitations and requires a little different thinking. There are more complete options out there, but it doesn't seem to be where the development is happening. Adding on web-accessibility is much different than building it from the ground up, which is how monday is/was built. With this though, comes some limitations and frustrations:
The boards (tables) aren't linked together consistently, and often it can take very long to update linked data when you make changes.
Groups, on the boards, can be used for many purposes, but they can also be limiting. Try reporting on the items by priority or project phase, when you have used one of those for the group. Examples abound with using the board groups as project phase or priority for easy visibility, but then try to report on your dashboard across multiple boards to see phase or priority. There are add-ons for this, but some of the add-ons are subscription based for something that should just be built-in.
Sub-subitems. Where do I start? While it may not seem like a necessity, try managing or building templates for large-scale projects in monday. You will eventually find yourself trying to create Group -> Item -> Subitem -> sub-Subitem very quickly. (Testing -> Task One -> Input -> Option one, see quick generic case that is quite common!) Yes, you can link your testing to another board, and then pull the data back to one Item or Subitem, but that is not very practical or easy to trace when sharing with team members.
Formulae - while great to have, you can't add results across boards very well in monday. I should be able to see my remaining total budget remaining for the quarter, and if you have costs broken out down to sub-items, summarized at the item level, and potentially totaled across the groups, good luck with performing any calculations along the way and aggregating that data to a high-level board.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business is new to formal project management, and monday is able to ease them into being able to have visibility into what is going on throughout the organization.
Absolutely love the app, terrible name!
What do you like best about the product?
I love every feature of the app. We began using trello before switching to monday and found monday had a much better atmosphere and the ability to do much more within the app that we were looking for. We have quickly found that it is now one of THE best things we use within our growing pest control business. It is an essential part of our every work day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate the name, but it has grown on me and I am now able to use it without feeling so much annoyance for it. When we first started using it we would say put it on my monday because of course our team has different boards they use for their task lists. This became very confusing. We have to clarify regularly if that means my calendar or on Monday the app. It gets frustrating having to clarify this. I feel if the name was more obscure we would all know right off the bat what we were talking about and it would clear up any confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been a huge asset to have all of our to do lists available all the time at the tip of our fingertips. It also has become very useful in holding contract copies to easily access when needed, and has become our go to for cheat sheets for service calls just to name a few.
Monday.com has made a huge impact on my start-up company's organization!
What do you like best about the product?
All of the interfaces, intergrations, and automations are easy to use and set up. Everything is visually appealing and logically organized so all of our employees don't have any trouble finding and using the boards. The history tracking keeps track of changes and makes for easy fixes, so no one can "break" anything when using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better way to restrict usage on board without making them private or upgrading to enterprise. I don't like the all or nothing memberships, I want to be able to share boards for everyone but only have some people have some edit access and others have all edit access. My team of project managers has to work around this often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com has become a source of organization for my project managers and the entire company as we navigate moving from a start up company to a midsized company with a variety of projects and products.
One of the BEST Project Management Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly it is to get started. It is very intuitive, which allows you to set things up pretty quickly. Also, I find their customer support to be very good, which is unusual! Finally, I love how many integrations are available so you can connect everything that you need in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have anything that I don't like about this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com helps my clients organize their tasks as well as their leads and customers.
Best CRM we ever use!
What do you like best about the product?
First of all, Monday gave us the freedom to edit all the tabs and made them the way we want. And it is almost like we can build our own CRM, automate it, and customize it the way we want. Not only CRM, I think the possibilities are limitless for this one, like project schedules, delegating tasks, differentiate tasks, etc. the way spreadsheet can be automated most easily without the need of having certification to use the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike from the service Monday gave us is how fast respond they are handling our complaint regarding any difficulties. I mean we expect the response is at least 15 minutes away, but they just reply to our complaint in less than a minute. Like guys, chill, you do it too great and left behind any competitor's customer service. But surely there is some part that I dislike, is their pricing mechanism. Why you put a limitation on automation, just doesn't make sense to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday solving the uneditable part of the already established platform and making it customizable the way we as a client want. That is why when we left our CRM, onboarding our employees using Monday is relatively fast, because it is as customizable as it get.
