The perfect fit for our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is endlessly customizable, giving users the flexibility to establish exactly what they need. We'd been shopping around for the right tool for us and everything was looked at came up short. My husband has been using Monday.com for his event business and he suggested we give it a try (I work in fundraising in the nonprofit industry). My team and I are thrilled to have been able to establish exactly the fields and options we need to seamlessly manage projects and tasks. The automations and integrations are huge time-savers, making notifications and data entry a breeze. The ability to create "subitems" under a main project is an amazing feature that allows us to stay on top of all the details and the bigger picture of our work all at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, Monday.com is fabulous. I would like to see the automation and integrations options expand to include more platforms, like Microsoft To Do. Improving the upload feature to include customizable fields would also be super helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In fundraising, we are often managing multi-phase projects with lots of moving parts. Monday.com makes assigning and managing those tasks a breeze - something we have found lacking on lots of other platforms. We are also saving LOADS of time with automations and integrations that make data management and communications much more efficient.

I use Monday on a daily basis for project management at my company.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the variety of features on the software, allowing me to track progress, keep track of contacts or have a simple to do list. I think it is the best software for project management by far.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it can be a bit overwhelming with the sheer amount of functions. I've been using it for over a year and only getting to grips with all the tools now. Suggested templates would be useful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using some of the templates to manage stakeholder engagement. I also use it to map out project stages to show to clients - breaking down costs for different parts of a project.

I love how the Monday boards are all customizable to what you need and can be changed easil

The only thing I would change is the ability to add users more easily

I have been able to keep up with hundreds of different tasks at the same time without forgetting them or losing them in the system

The ability and flexibility and the ability to work with teams on a project makes this product work every penny.

I wouldn't say I like that there is no ability to change the deadlines all at once for a project.

We are solving the ability to work on a project with multiple users both internally and externally.
Highly Useful, Thanks to the Automations and Other Features
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE the automations. It's so nice to be able to set up something on one board and have it transfer to another, or even to tag someone when a status changes. It really helps me stay organized and keep track of everything. Plus, Monday.com is so easy and intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some things that I wish I could set up using automations, such as having files and other things transfer automatically from one board to another. It would help if the program would do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com solved the problem of keeping our writing team organized and on track, and it makes it easier to tell which assignments have been completed and are ready for delivery. One of the biggest benefits is this form of organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly suggest learning how to use the custom automations. They're easy to set up, with a little practice, and make life so much easier.
Keeps micro management away
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is super user-friendly. The ability to customise what you like and the importance etc. is great. Really simple to start and you can get really detailed and specific. As a manager, you can see where everyone is up to without having to pester for updates. Great for in-office and for team members that are working from home.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the whole, I don't dislike anything, but if I was picking I would say the project templates don't work for me so sometimes takes longer for me to set up my own projects. The only other thing is that sometimes it can take a while to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com saves my desk from looking messy with post-it notes and lists on the desk. I can also use it on the move when I am on location I can update the tasks etc. So it is not just for admin work at my desk.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it however you want to. You don't need to stick to the templates.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease and ability to collaborate internally and externally with clear data sets. I used Monday.com to manage work, share timelines and approve content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say at first glance, it can look overwhelming.

The ability to track projects without cross-referencing additional external communication groups, presentations or sheets.

What do you like best about the product?
Monday makes project management simple. A great tool to create and track tasks for projects for my entire team to collaborate and problem solve. Offers a lot of options and easy to follow tutorials for those of us that are a little less savvy. For those that dig in deeper the ability to create forms and surveys that automatically populate boards and for easy access to the data has been amazing!

I have not found a downside to using Monday.Com. So far, everything I have needed to do is there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday makes collaboration between departments seamless. One of the greatest benefits is accountability for myself and my team.

easy to use, very friendly ... a lot of integration, very easy to use for collaborative work, excellent data export.

I miss a feature, I can't create or use different data or results in the same column in the same table

to be able to have different tables next to each other on the same board, to be able to compare data

What do you like best about the product?
I like the general look of the tables, and the fact that its very "drag and drop" in the sense of building databases for use. I like the fact that I can use a template or build my own tables and also link them (although this could be better than single clicking everything) I love the easy filters and sorts and the fact I can have different views. Also like the charts and graphs that are availble and the fact that I can easily add to my task list or update anything on my mobile out of office hours. We have a lot of external contractors checking the live database I built and being able to update this for all at any time has been amazing. Love the status column and also the automations on my task lists and campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havent been able to find a way of using this for finances as such so far, there is a grant section for tracking which is great but there isnt a way of replacing say an accountancy system with this. We would ideally like to use this for everything and have the subscription covering all business areas but until there is better carrying down amounts etc for columns its not possible so we still have the cost elsewhere for this.
Also I would say that the word document and forms process seems a little tricky to me.

We are using the whiteboard section as a shared ideas board and for planning. I built a workspace to replace all spreadsheets for project and campaign planning. I am also using separate section for my own time tracking and task lists.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think if you are using spreadsheets for any sort of data or project management then definately move to Monday as there is a lot of leg work removed when using the system. The fact that it is live and online means that there is no issue with lots of people using the same system (corrupted copies on shared drives etc) I have no database building experience and I have found this extremely easy to set up.
