Project management made easy!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Monday can be connected directly with so many other apps! It makes it easier to have all the information I need readily available and without delays in a single view of my choosing. I also like how it can be used internally or externally, client-facing in our case, so both teammates and clients can see and know exactly what's the status on certain projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Boards can become a little too long for your screen if you are not careful and definetly need it in a table view - there's nothing to help you there but keeping everything as sweet and short as you can. Also, integrations may malfunction from time to time, making you have to take time to make sure everything is working fine, so you don't miss any information coming from outside of Monday. A little annoying sometimes, but nothing that can't be fixed quickly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company, we use Monday to manage everything from internal requests, meeting agendas to client projects from an opportunity to the projects' completion. Monday makes it a simple process every time; we don't miss any information, and everyone is updated on the status of whatever we're working on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! And make sure to go through the tutorials, guides, and demos; it'll make it a smooth transition into the world of Monday.com

What do you like best about the product?
The easy navigation it offers. Also that It becomes a super helpful tool to track all your projects. I believe it is usable and it is nice that you can share and give your client visibility of all the projects you are working with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot hold more than one type of board or personalize boards on the same page. There are sometimes where I need to cutomize colums that are aplicable to one table but not to other, yet they need to exist on the same page. That is a functionality I would really like to see. Sometimes notifications can be lost because there are too many daily and you have not enough visibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are keeping track of install, pre-sales, post-sales, and every step of our business process. When you have that many tasks to track, it is super helpful to see them in an organized manner. Another of Monday's benefits is that it has various views, with a dashboard, Gantt's that are super helpful to keep track with more straightforward ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
More facilities to personalize boards or hold different boards in one same page. I believe what would make monday great is to have more field types options, more automations. Or easier to find at least, sometimes they are not as easy to find. Also in the app when you change the status when opening a notification, it does't actually changes the status. You have to close the notification, open the board and then change the status

What do you like best about the product?
Different ways to visualize information. The structure makes it easy to keep track of tasks. You can teach someone to use the basics in a day, but there is a lot of depth in the tools and types of things you can do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are issues with automatizations. I have noticed lag sometimes when I make changes and takes a few noticeable seconds for other team members to see them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Agendas for our meetings are set up on Monday. Makes it simple to keep notes and track assigned tasks.
We build projects on the tool and track their development.
I often make online forms and questionnaires for the team and providers and it feeds directly into what I need.

What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the different automation's that make our lives easier. From the templates that Monday provides, and all of the color schemes. The ability to group together one whole department and get one email out to all of them is really awesome. I love that I can create a private board where I can track all of my progress on a project and share my team leader on it so that she can track my progress along with me. I also think it's actually just really cute when Monday lets you know it's somebody's birthday or has recently joined the company so you can give them a Happy Birthday shoutout, or a "welcome to the job!" shoutout.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take too long to load when it is cluttered on certain boards which can get really frustrating when you have to continue to refresh your page over and over again. It's also difficult to contact support when they just keep recommending you to help articles and you aren't able to find the problem you're having anywhere in them. Although once I reached support they were really great, it was just difficult to get there. I also don't love how once I open up my notifications they are taken away from my notification number. It's nice that they don't fully go white so you can still see what needs to be checked but I think I would rather the number just go down after checking each notification, although I can see why that wouldn't actually work out for people getting tons and tons of notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not personally solving any "problems" but we do use it for collaboration amongst the multiple people in my position, our team leader, and anyone who needs to track our progress. It's really great that you can share someone to be tagged on your personal boards so that anytime an update, pulse, or group is created then that person will be notified and can see what we're up to. As for solving any problems, just being able to tag someone from another department and loop them into the conversation can save tons of time when trying to problem solve across the board!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take some time to get acquainted with the program before diving right in as it can be really tricky to get the hang of at first! But once you do get the hang of it, it's super easy to use! Make your own personal boards to work on and tag your team leaders in it, so that you can keep them private, keep the workspaces clean, and you can have your own personal work space to track everything that you're using. You can also do this if you're trying to learn how to use different features of Monday.com and want to practice: a private board is great for this!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can create boards to match your needs. I also like that Monday.com is very similar to social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there are automations that I would like to create that Monday.com isn't built for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has really changed our workflow. Before, we were struggling to remember all of the little things we do. Now, Monday's automations have helped us stay organized and automate more tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Custom automations would be my favorite thing. There are a lot of things we need that we would like to implement. A way to do that would be so important. For example, I'd like to create a way to automate the number of events in a marketing contract by simply adding a certain word or phrase in another column. If Monday.com could do that, it would make my life so easy. If there was a way to create a custom automation, or contact support to create that automation for me, that would help.

I see this is being Monday's biggest flaw. While there are many great automations that provide significant help, sometimes Monday just doesn't have that one small thing you need to really send its performance over the top.

Love Monday.com's versatility

What do you like best about the product?
There are ways to use Monday.com for every task! It's very versatile, before monday.com we had nowhere to document/track our progress, small tasks, keep campaigns straight, we just had loads of messy excel sheets. It's user-friendly and great for sharing/collaborating.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a member of our creative team, I wish monday was more supportive of .mp4 uploads - currently, it's difficult to find a program with a dashboard that can support both all the data we're collecting AND the actual creative, which in our case is small 10-second video ads. Though technicallly monday supports video uploads, it has limited settings availability and our sharable boards we show our clients do not support the video file previews.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com has helped with our internal workflow, especially as we've learned more about automations, as well as our external workflow with being able to share raw data from campaigns with the clients with the sharable board preview.

What do you like best about the product?
Overall, I think Monday.com is a great tool. The thing I like the best about it is how organized it naturally is. I struggle personally with mental health issues such as ADD, Anxiety, and of course, pandemic-burnout, and having the movable pulses two different groups color coding, etc. it makes it easy for me to stay organized.

If i can pick one more feature, I also *LOVE* having secret boards!
What do you dislike about the product?
If I could change one thing about Monday.com, it would be the ability to mass-comment on multiple pulses at once. This is something that my organization would love to do for recruiting, as you can only add so many columns without it being overwhelming to the viewer. This would save us a ton of time! I also feel like occasionally there are glitches.

Another thing I dislike is that there is a limit to the amount of color for statuses. With big organizations sometimes we need more!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have some side projects where I don't know where to put them because documents in my company's Google Drive are discouraged to not clog it up. Because of this I can solve this problem by making a private monday.com board. This is been super helpful.

Additionally, a problem that we've solved is when something goes wrong on monday.com, the feature of being able to go into the activity log and see what happened, who moved what, Etc is extremely helpful for solving Personnel issues and retracing our steps.

Great for collaborative workflow

What do you like best about the product?
I love that coworkers and I can assign projects to each other without email. I love having all of my internal notifications in one place, keeping email strictly for external communications with clients, vendors, etc. I like the automations you can add to boards which save me lots of time moving updates around. Another upside is the cleanliness of the layout, its not too cluttered. I like being able to archive items to get them out of the way without deleting them forever.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's easy to tag the wrong person in item updates. There's also no chat feature so you still technically need an internal way to send messages to coworkers. Sometimes notifications for one thing end up in two or three different places or inboxes which feels like overkill. The dashboard for changing settings is sort of hidden and hard to remember where to access it each time. I hate that when there are a ton of items on a board the board gets way slower and harder to navigate quickly and efficiently. I'm not sure that this will allow our company to scale to twice its size on this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can better see how much I have on my plate now that all projects, in varying stages, are all in one place! Before, it was easy to become overwhelmed or burnt out at work. I love the automations so even if I forget to send an update, I can have monday do that for me, making communication acrosee departments way better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Develop a relationship with the monday.com admins so they can help you maximize your org's workflow and money spent on this service. Definitely take advantage of the automations. Don't be afraid to try out different styles.

One tool to rule them all

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of Monday to be configured to manage tasks of varying complexity or types. The automation tool is really simple to use, reliable, and highly effective. Integrations are straightforward to use and absolutely rock solid. We use it across several business units all with different applications but all are easy and straightforward. Tasks can be easily assigned to multiple people with rich features for commenting and providing detailed notes with photos, graphics etc...
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing scales in groups quickly. We recently moved up a tier from having 15 users to now being licensed for 25 users. This came with a considerable cost increase and is hard to stomach when you only have 16 users and have nine expensive licenses idling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management for development tasks, we integrated with a web forms provider to create a quality management system that enables us to review and action non-conformances for across the business. Many people use it to manage their personal and teams workloads.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful to fully understand the costs before you commit to the product. Be sure to experiment with integrations and automations. They can make life so much easier and vastly enhance the experience of using the product.

Monday is a very useful tool when several members work remotely

What do you like best about the product?
With Monday, we can all be aware in real-time of all the processes we are working on. We can also have a communication window about each specific client to be mindful of what we need to complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be time-consuming to learn how to use all the Monday tools, but it is worth it. We did not find that Monday has a much broader function as a calendar, where all team members can post events and comments on important dates. This would help us a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicate with other members of our company who work remotely in other countries, but with the specific boxes on processes and clients, we can be up to date and up to date. It is also very important and useful that Monday sends us notifications and alerts about deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a beneficial acquisition for teamwork and if you work remotely. It would be best if you gave it a try.
