My experience with monday.com

What do you like best about the product?
With Monday, I easily manage and control my tasks and deadlines, either by day or by week. I can inform and explain when I am stuck in a specific task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the task planner needs a better filtering system because it is sometimes very hard to find a specific task or the tasks assigned to a person in the pool of tasks performed by everyone in the whole company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday helps the workforce to avoid forgetting the tasks they are working on and shoe their daily work while working at home. It also helps leaders, bosses, manager and directors to stay informed about the work performed by the people that are working at home, and also measures the individual contribution to the work assigned to many people.
In a nutshell: it helps everyone to take control of their work and therefore, the company becomes more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Update your board daily as part of your morning work routine.
Provide as many details as you can.
When proposing deadlines, try to be flexible enough to finish on time, but not spending any time on a specific task.
Never delete tasks, but mark them as canceled and provide as many details as possible. Maybe you spent months on a project and if you delete it, no one will know.
And more important: if it is not on Monday, it never existed!

Transformed how we track enormous projects with our clients

What do you like best about the product?
More than other project tracking software, something about the visual layout and the way information is organized in monday.com just makes SENSE. We love the simplicity of creating custom labels (even bringing some humor into them with our clients) and there is something so satisfying about slowly ticking everyone on your board over to COMPLETE. It's made the thousands of tasks we have to complete on our projects happen in a much more timely and organized way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I wish I could change about monday.com is having custom columns for different groups on the same board. But that's about it. It's SO easy to use. It's beautiful to customize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com has helped us to stay organized when we have multiple large-scale projects happening simultaneously with multiple clients. Team members can see what needs to be done at a glance, clients always know where we are in a project and can easily make requests and updates. It even integrates with Slack which makes it ultra easy to communicate about questions and changes.

What do you like best about the product?
The multiple ways you can use this platform as a project management tool. I have one board where I keep an editorial calendar for contents of our monthly newsletter; I have another board where I manage Strategic Initiatives for our company's 3 year plan; and I have a primary board for managing the projects and assignments of my 10 direct reports. Outstandinig versatility!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I truly dislike yet; but if I were to offer one area for improvement, it would be that it is a little confusing to figure out how to manage certain projects, when assigned to multiple people (who takes the lead on updating the iniative on the platform if several people are involved.) I wish there was a field for Team Leader, and then "other people" where you could list others involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have 6 different checklists of various projects/campaigns I'm managing - because they all live in one place. I also no longer have to produce a weekly Project Assignments Report for my team, because we simply pull up the Monday.com board; sort the assignments by due date; and review the board as a team -- seeing what is coming up in the next 30 days. It's a breeze!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend the platform and am actively trying to convince some of my fellow company executives to consider using it to manage their teams/workflow. I've also found the videos online to be very helpful at summarizing it's primary features and benefits. But to be honest, I didn't really "get it" until I started using it myself. I'm now a convert and a huge advocate!

Manage many projects in one workspace.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that all of the team members associateed with the jobs have access to update their progress. They are also able to make comments along the way. This application is great when collaborating on a many projects. We have the capability to assign users to the project they are directly involved with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think this is an effective tool for teamwork and I do not really have any dislikes at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication among team memebers may not be up to par. A team member that may not always be a good communicator can go in and update progress or ask questions right in the application. It is also a good tool to keep track of deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a good workspace to keep track of which projects are starting up and which projects have been completed. It is a good tool to keep all team memebers in the loop. I think that collaboration is a huge reason to use this application. One person alone might be able to come up with an idea. However, when many people are able to share their insight, the project can be dialed in to the needs and wants of others. It is also a good tool becasue not everybody needs to be in the same building in order to contribute to the project.

Monday is an efficient & effective platform that helps me better track/manage my responsibilities.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Monday is the ability to track and manage a file. Monday allows you to see who has worked the file when they last touched the file and things worked on. Additionally, it will enable you to set deadlines for different responsibilities, and as the deadline approaches, Monday will send you a reminder (which is especially helpful if you have a bad memory).
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside about Monday is that it does not have an available column where we can chat. It would make it easier if Monday had a section to communicate with other co-workers (ex. slack, messenger...etc). Other than that, I love Monday!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday has helped solve the lack of communication. We used to use SLACK before, but the messages get deleted at one point. However, Monday never deletes the messages/updates, thus allowing management to see who may be at fault/who forgot to complete a task.

Helping to Create Organization

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com helps my team and organization create inter-departmental work processes. Through this software, my Grants Team is able to keep up with our upcoming submissions, research, due dates, reports, and ensure the entire team is on track for success and meetings the needs of our nonprofit organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to export has moved and I seem to be the only one in my organization who knows where it moved to and how to do it. I find the cells can be very touchy, for instance on my board the dates I accidentally delete/edit all the time and have to pull the activity history to see what it was at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team organization and clear communication is the major benefit of this software. Together my team has a clear picture of needs, plans, timelines and updates. This process ensures the successful writing of grants and submissions.

This system helps you keep track of projects with ease, communication, and strategic organization.

Amazing Business Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, simplicity, reminders, automation, and tracking. Also, being able to store our content and add comments, likes, and gifs to create user engagement is helpful. The integration feature is great and continues to be an opportunity to increase user engagement. I also like that the tool is avaiable online, through an app, and can enage through email. Most importantly, it's user friendly and provides ways to continue to learn new features and hosts sessions for expanding users knowledge of the features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost, limited users per account, and compatibility with Outlook and Webex Meetings/Teams. I also need more abilities to automate features to help simplify dveloping tasks using an AI tool that asks me for opportunties to automate. I wish i could edit MS files on the fly as opposed to downloading each file. I would like more training for Managerial users who want to find case examples of how to improve their use and expand features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are developing programs, projects, and tracking staff progress. We have streamlined many processes. We have launched two programs since starting Monday post-COVID. Also, the whiteboarding feature is excellent and provides users the option to soundboard ideas before they become actionable tasks. Monday has also simplified the tasks we do daily and aggregate that information, send reminders to staff, track the progress and dependencies to achieve our goals. We plan to use Monday regularly and find opportunities to expand to the enterprise level. This tool is essential, especially when staff is remote and needs to be held accountable. I am also solving ways to engage my staff.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it was to set up my board and how easy it is to manage it but still have a wide range of capabilities. I also love how clean it looks and I can send it to any one in my company and they can easily read the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find any flaws with how I am using it currently, it really does check all the boxes for me when it comes to managing our candidate pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We instantly were able to improve our candidate tracking and also team availability into candidates. Me and my manager able to communicate instantly through Monday.Com and be able to reference all of that information in one space. We are also able to easily get feedback from interviewers and hiring managers, which allows us to create a stronger candidate experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Monday.Com has a lot of resources that you can use to help build out the best boards for you, highly recommend using those and trying different things until you find the perfect set-up.

Staying organized with Monday.com

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate with teammates on projects. The info boxes provide space for our team to add important information and files for projects. The updates section allows for tagging when a team member needs to be notified of something specific to them. This section also provides a history of project communication to be referenced in the future. I also love automations that assign tasks to teammates automatically. Small things like confetti celbrating a completed task are extremely motivating. I like that Monday.com celebrates accomplishments and helps you look back and all of the things accomplished in the past, rather than only focusing on what's ahead. I also like that Monday.com hosts webinars and keeps a video library of different wants to utilize the platform's features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of boards can be overwhelming across multiple teams. I find that we have to occasionally consolidate our boards to ensure that we aren't getting cross-eyed by clicking back and forth between different boards for projects. Sub-items have helped with this some, but I still think there are improvements that can be made. I have attempted the "Connect Boards" column, but haven't been able to figure it out. I need to do some more digging, because it is not clear how the feature can be optimized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com helps me keep track of my team's workload. The ability to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress through status updates is invaluable. Monday.com allows our team to keep all items within a project in one place and communicate in an organized manner. Integrations with Slack and Salesforce allow us to keep things organized in one place. In addition to collaborating with my team, Monday.com helps me stay organized with my inidividuals tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ditch your spreadsheet and join monday.com. Monday.com is a fantastic tool for staying organized and managing projects.
