Project management/operational organization
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting features, the templates for ideas, and the automation and forms; also, getting help is easy, and how-to videos are great. The consistent updates to the features and automation are great; I love that Monday is in a continuous improvement cycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't find any downsides, as with any new tool, sometimes people don't want to dedicate the time to get to know it, but I have had one on ones with my department, and once they see how this saves time, they understand we all need to be making use of it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are not having to use multiple systems to track projects, planning, and creative - having other staff use our forms to create requests for our department and seeing workload at a glace for the team. Forms to help partners we work with quickly submit requests for review, automation in the workflow communication.
Ease and Centralization in Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the boards of monday Work Management because they allow us to separate all projects by stages and weekly follow-ups, which greatly facilitates planning and organization. The ease of use is another aspect I really appreciate, as it makes information updates simple and helps in the visualization and centralization of information in a standardized way. As for the reports, I like how we can generate customized reports for each client, with all the information and images attached from the beginning to the end of the project. The initial setup was easy and practical, which is excellent for integrating new team members without difficulties. I consider monday Work Management a more complete software compared to Trello, which we used previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
What could be improved is the area for attaching images and the integration of boards with other boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Monday Work Management to centralize internal communication, plan projects, and generate customized reports, ensuring practicality and standardization in information management.

Great tool for your company, whatever its size (small, medium, or large).
THE BEST TOOL EVER! Makes such a big difference in productivity, workload management, and processes.
What do you like best about the product?
EVERYTHING! Our productivity is way way up. I am so enthusiastic about Monday that if I ever decided to change industries, I would want to work for them. I have used many software tools in the past and none compare. MONDAY IS AWESOME!
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take a bit of time to get the logic and flow worked out to be very efficient but, it is totally customizable for your specific use case which is amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to operate off of multiple project management tools like BaseCamp and so many Excel sheets that would get conflicted from multiple users or never updated or used. Monday has replaced all of those.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
TRY IT! It will change your life. There are endless applications for this software.
More time to do other tasks, less to worry about.
What do you like best about the product?
Its hard to just point one thing so I would like to call many of the best this platform can offer. First, I love to use the dark theme, I always use it, on both my laptop and cellphone. I also like that even if Im busy, I receive emails about whats going on and I can easily catch up when Im free again.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know that there's no perfect program but it could help that we get hte chance to customize our own automations depending of our needs. Actually the available automations are premade, most of them looks like they were created to fit most of our interest, but would be an awesome idea if we had the option to make custom edits.

We work with merchant's vessels. Every day We have an extensive list of boats to attend, we usually used google sheets to organize their ETA, ETB, and ETD, the name of the vessel, agency, and such, and we had to change the details over the day manually. Now with Monday, we could program it to do most of the manual part.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
What is true is that you must understand how to program your tasks, but after learning, everything should be easier to do. Consider that you are learning a small Programmation language when using this tool,
Keeping You and Your Team on Task
What do you like best about the product?
Monday keeps me on track day-to-day. Everyone now has accountability and the complete resources to tackle all tasks assigned. Sharing files is also a great asset to the app. Any remote workers can easily pick up where they left off from their office and home. Our Communication Coordinators and Directors now have the ability to search for tasks and view the time it takes to complete those tasks. They are also able to show an overall task list to upper management when scheduling and planning future events. This can come in handly for future raises and requesting additional employees to the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sub-tasks still appear hidden and is easily overlooked. Can no longer find dashboard easily. Wish there was a generic Generate Report Button. If there already is one, I haven't located it yet. Creating forms is not as user-friendly and isn't fluid (as it has to match the columns within the task). Expanding the number of filters within the dashboard features may help. The app doesn't seem to update tasks as quickly on an ipad 11 Pro 2021. It takes some time to refresh causing me to turn to my iPhone 11 for quicker referencing during weekely meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday helps keep all members on the same page. Members are able to search for tasks and reference as needed which is great for efficiency and accuracy. Keeping time is also a great asset!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're in education, consider similar columns for general reporting and split boards by school year and semesters.
I don't like Mondays- it is true!...but I love Monday.com!
What do you like best about the product?
functionality, and ongoing upgrading of the Platform, Amazon-Esque customer service, and the fact that due to Monday automations- 5 men job now has become 1 man job :-))
What do you dislike about the product?
it would be great if bulk-uploads of items were possible, as well as more color-coding functionality of the boards and groups (not statues).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to its functionality- I now can easily keep track of all deadlines, expiry dates, and more; it simply saves me a tonne of time, stresses and worries!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you want to save time following up on your daily routines regardless of your company size- Monday will help you immensely!
Monday.com has become an invaluable resource for our teams!
What do you like best about the product?
Monday continues to add new features and improve the system. We have various teams that span departments that utilize Monday, including Creative, Com's, Administration, and more. This is something we all use daily. The ability to even have repetitive tasks that create themselves each week saves so much time on the admin side.
The ability to have Project Boards only for freelancers or internally makes it an amazing project management tool, but not just project management. The options are limitless if you take your time to learn the system.

What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of ability to make a "Group" or "Item" only visible to a single person/freelancer instead of the whole board. Not a deal breaker but would be nice.
As a non-profit, we no longer receive that discount, so that was a little bit of a blow; we adjusted and made do.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working as a Project Manager across multiples of teams from Design, Video, Web, Freelancers, and even IT, Monday helps keep everything organized and on task. We realized with Monday that no matter where our users are, they can still keep track with their projects. The ability to quickly look over entire boards and see where projects stand is amazing.
Monday.com Has Made Me Weirdly Passionate About Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com allows me to track and customize everything so that I'm always on top of projects. It's easy to use and enables me to back up files relating to each project so that everything's in one place. I always have an overhead view of everything going on in our department.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the platform allowed me to format items within the text sections (i.e. italicizing or bolding words as needed). I also wish I could add hyperlinks, as this would be extremely helpful. The platform currently allows you to add one link per line item, but I often have projects in which I need to add a number of links, and just allowing me to add hyperlinks to the "long text" box would allow me to cleanly add this information in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to get an overhead view of everything that's going on with our department. What are we working on, and what are our next steps? It gives us a better idea of what each client works on us with and allows us to anticipate their needs better, and make suggestions as to what projects might be best for accomplishing their goals. We spend less time looking up information on projects and next steps. It allows us to manage our freelance teams better.
Excellent product
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and visual nature of the platform are very appealing. I like the lama farm a lot. It's a fun dashboard feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, all the features are a bit overwhelming, and to most effectively use them all would take a fair amount of time to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great way to track information about project goals and progress with a team. It's easy to use with team members inside or outside your orgnaization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great program. If you want to get the most out of it, do a corporate setup and have them build out what you need most.
An all in one management system for most companies
What do you like best about the product?
There’s a lot to like with monday.com. We use it everyday as our core management system that keeps track of all of our work items.
One of the reasons that Monday.com works well for us is that our work items usually follow a pipeline process, where some items require other teams to collaborate. With Monday.com cross-board automation, this is a breeze. Simply changing the status on one board auto-magically creates and connects items on other boards. The friction in moving work items between teams has been eliminated.
There is no limit to what you can do with automation, especially with custom ones. It uses basic English to create if-this-then-that workflows that just work. Automations have eliminated a lot of copy-pasting and manual labor. Once set up, creating an item with all the necessary sub-items and tasks is just one click. This really is the best feature of Monday.com. The new automation view is much neater as well. Very easy to create and view automations.
Another underrated feature is the search everything feature. As the name suggests, it really does search everything. Sometimes, you can’t recall where an item is. With this feature, searching is a lot easier.
Integrations are also amazing! We use it mostly with Slack and Gmail to send notifications or to create items on the boards, respectively. They've recently added a feature that allows you to reply to mentions and items directly from the Slack app!
Previously, we reached out to customer support for an issue we were facing. They responded fairly quickly and set up a meeting with us. The representative was very professional and helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Given the size of some of our boards, monday.com tends to slow down at times. We were also facing an issue with automation failing. While we were able to see at what step they failed, the error was not really helpful. Turns out that if a user is deactivated from the workspace and an automation tries to assign that user to a people column with an automation, the automation outright fails. This is to be expected, but the error message was generic, and we had to figure this out on our own. Although a very niche case, but it did cause some work items to get missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem would be cross-team work collaboration. Our teams are classified based on the specific tasks they do. For us, creating a work item creates multiple different but relevant items onto team-specific boards. Furthermore, the automation makes it so that as the work item progresses and updates are made, the team next expected to take over also sees these changes and has updates on their own boards as well. This has made balancing work a lot easier. It is also our central repository of work items. It acts as a database as well of all the projects we have worked on. We run sprints and monday.com has made it easy to create sprints, keep track of work items, keep track of time and with monday.com docs, even create sprint reports. The dashboard widgets are also very nifty. They allow us to visualize the information easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool will certainly be a great value add to you and your company. It is easier to use than most tools and training your workforce will not require a lot of effort.
