Customizable, User-Friendly, Collaborative, & Well-organized

What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable the platform is. We can section staff into teams to ensure the right info is displayed to the right people - this keeps things clean and allows us to categorize the content that's applicable for different teams. The boards are also super customizable depending on what kind of information you want to display. Customer support is also a huge asset. It's very convenient to reach out for support directly from the platform, and I've always received a prompt response.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little tricky to navigate the site when the menus/navigation layout change with updates. It would be awesome if the layout of the menus were also customizable to help tailor it to your company's specific needs. I'd love to see this customization added in the future! This would really enhance the already superb user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deadline and task tracking - the deadline function is a great tool for keeping track of things and their due dates. The reminders for upcoming due dates and weekly overview are a great tool for guiding through projects. The timeline feature is also a huge asset for tracking tasks and how projects are progressing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The platform is super customizable which allows for the potential to work well for any organization. Our team researched a lot of different project management platforms before selecting Monday.com - nothing else compared. It's well worth it. It makes life easier by keeping things organized. We've gradually added more aspects of our workflow to the site and gradually expanded the different features we've started using. I'd recommend new users do the same. Start simple and expand on how you use it and how complex your boards are. We tested out a lot of the different features to see what worked best for us.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to keep track of projects and work with colleagues in Monday. We use it for all ongoing projects for task completion and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to be able to have different columns for each group on a board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of our communication on projects in a central location has solved the problem of things falling through the cracks or getting lost in email or slack channels. It is easy to tell what needs to be done and when it is completed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to make sure everyone is on the same page about work projects, task management, and upcoming projects.

Single Source of truth for multiple teams

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, integration, and customer service. Response times are excellent, and Customer Success Team clearly show interest and involvment in your issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any specific features I dislike. My hope is that among the next integrations are Azure DevOps, but that is a new feature request and not a dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key issue we were solving for was an endless stream of excel updates, scattered sharepoint folders, endless Microsoft Teams that ultimately didnt give visibiliy to key stakeholders in the org. Using Monday.com, I can seamlessly gather data for the Product teams, Sales teams for insights on status, and our own customer success team in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We reviewed several other platforms including Asana, Teams, and others. The determination, after a steady rollout in our org, was that Monday.com was the best choice.

What do you like best about the product?
If you could mix together Facebook, X (Twitter), and Dropbox and use them to get your work done, that would be Monday.
A simple, yet powerful and intuitive platform to work in which all the updates are like Facebook posts, and every replay is like a Twitter thread.
A great advantage of Monday is that you can easily communicate and share files with coworkers across boards and keep them in the loop.
The latest addition to the Monday platform (2024) is an AI assistant. This new tool can help generate tasks, build formulas, summarize documents, improve text, etc. It is still in BETA; however, it is helpful. Also, they improve the core engine, and it loads faster.
Depending on the team's needs, you can customize a board for your team's needs; however, Monday has template boards for sales, marketing, project management, and so on.
Boards are the starting point. When you create one, you can invite users and ad roles. Each board can have different pulses (think of them as tasks or projects). Each pulse can have its name. You can upload and store files for that specific pulse in "info boxes," which I, as a graphic designer, find quite useful. You can create updates, which are like comments, and tag colleagues as if you were using X (Twitter).
Every time you create an update, you can tag a coworker. He will receive a notification through email or on Monday as well. That way, you know your communication flows. Also, there's an icon that allows you to check who has seen your update.
Monday offers integrations with a wide range of tools and external platforms, including Gmail, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Cloud, Slack, Linkedin, Hubspot, Zoom, Zendesk, and Shopify, to name a few. Each integration offers different options within Monday, but at the end of the day, you can do everything on one single platform.
Another cool feature of Monday has to do with automation. You can generate simple and very helpful scripts to accomplish several tasks. An example is to notify a team member when the status of a pulse changes; that way you don't have to do it manually, Monday does it for you!
Finally, Monday offers a wide range of tutorials and help pages; therefore, if you are a new user, you will find valuable help right away. Also, Monday keeps improving every day, and usually each month there are webinars to learn about new tools and improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Regarding things I dislike, there are really few.
When you search to find a pulse through all the different boards on your account, there is an option to search in the archived items, unfortunately, that option is always disabled, which I don't like because most of the time, I search for items that are already archived.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Monday, I was using email, an excel sheet, and dropbox to keep track of my projects.
More often, I started to miss emails, and I forgot to reply or follow up with the client. Later on, I forgot to update the excel sheet, and dropbox links were placed in emails and, excel sheets as well.
With Monday, I can do it all in one single platform and even get reminders or alerts when a due date is coming.
Monday helped me to save time, to make communication fast and efficient, and integrate several services and tasks in one single place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are moving around from one tool to another, switching all the time from excel sheets, to email to managing files, and trying to follow up with clients, and customers, you will find Monday quite useful. All the integrations, automation, and flexibility will be of great help for you, your team, and even clients.
You will find Monday as the place to integrate all your work flow and find a board dedicated to your special needs.

Monday: A Project Management Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Automations in Monday make things easy to use and manage items. It is easy to record actions and keep track of new and old items. I have also used Monday to track a latest release of templates and coordinate new changes that needs to be changed for an existing template.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automations are somewhat limited in how many actions automations can do. I would like to be able to create an automation that does multiple actions instead of making multiple automation that do one action
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that we solve using Monday are gathering and collecting information on projects, as well as keeping schedules and tasks on task. I primarily use Monday to collect data on projects and schedule when the project can be started and completed.

Monday is an extremely useful tool to organize tasks and manage projects and information.

Great project tracking tool that extremely versatile and customizable

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com has a very intuitive user interface and is highly customizable. I can have multiple status fields for tracking, and they can be labeled and colored to my choice. It's an awesome tool for what we need to track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial set up can be a bit challenging, in that the groups for the data structure have to be identified first. It would be more helpful if the user could choose any column to become the group headings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to successfully track multiple projects that have many different criteria, managed by different players. Project managers can update the status of each project which is then automatically communicated to select people. In addition, our Gantt chart is prepared automatically based on the data in the tables.

Simple and powerful task management tool

What do you like best about the product?
The features allow you to manage tasks easily. One of the features I like is integration with Teams and with email. You can have tasks created based on rules from emails and then post updates to a Teams channel when that task meets certain milestones.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Kanban view of tasks isn't efficient. You can't sort the tasks or groups of tasks in this view and the space that each task takes up makes the view very hard to use. If you are okay with a regular task view, then this wouldn't matter to you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Monday.com to prioritize and status our product backlog as well as keep track of report distribution to our many clients. We tried excel sheets and other programs, but this tool is the most efficient we have found, saving us time and confusion around these business processes.

Greatly Improved Communication for Our Staff!

What do you like best about the product?
One of our biggest struggles has been communication within our organization: both company-wide and inter-departmental. One of our employees discovered Monday and it has aided greatly in improving communication across our organization. We have a few employees who have become super Monday ninjas and they keep us all in the loop when it comes to features that would aid us and keep us moving forward.

Monday's platform really makes it easy to see/share/update everyone in the organization as to who is doing what, when. It is intuitive and allows for even our more novice users to learn quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our users complain that they get too many emails, but that's few and far between.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday really helped to open up the lines of communication within our organization and keeps everyone in the loop!

Give it a shot, for sure!
