Monday has been a great resource for our creative department.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the platform is very visual. You can easily organize by color, by label or by area. It is also easy to see who has been assigned to a task, or to see what they say about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a different way to attach visual files for review. I also wish it would be easier to organize tasks in different ways once moving them to a completed board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to solve the problem of not being able to clearly prioritize and complete tasks. Monday makes it very easy to see what tasks must be completed and when they must be completed by, as well as easily change the due date of your tasks. It is also easy to delegate tasks and to have responsibilities shared.

I LOVE Monday.com!

What do you like best about the product?
Monday is extremely helpful to keep organized. I login every workday morning to check in on the tasks/projects that are due that day and the next few days. I was just out on extended leave for 12 weeks, and coming back to a completely organized work load, made the transition back into work SO much easier. 10/10 recommend Monday!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Monday.com
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping organized ,having high level projects and the details. Project management and laying out how you would like to organize and start a project can be super difficult and many others like to see projects laid out in a different way than you do. One of the best parts about Monday is being able to share projects, timelines and due dates in different eays - through a calendar, gantt chart, excel spreadsheet, etc.

Easy Lab Planning and Scheduling

  • August 31, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations, multiple views, and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think I have discovered any downsides yet. I'm certain I'm only using a fraction of its capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have the responsibility of planning and scheduling an electronics lab. It's a very complicated process where a test sample will use several pieces of equipment throughout the testing plan and priorities are constantly changing. I'm able to set up my boards to select tests and equipment that trigger column formulas to calculate test times. The automations make scheduling the equipment simple and easy and even allow me to generate metrics with zero effort. The dashboards allow me to see how each technician is loaded week to week and with the incredible embedded linking structure I can easily move items around in the calendar to reduce or increase workloads. Finally, with the dashboards. managers get a quick overview of the lab loading, schedule and metrics in one place.

Take Your Work to the Next Level

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to see everything and keep everything together! Our team is able to communicate effectively throughout all of our programs. Being able to track progress and collaborate with your team on one platform is valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not run into any major issues. Sometimes creating a board can be confusing just trying to find the best layout!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to communicate more efficiently now. When we started working from home, our communication was lacking. Monday has given us the ability to stay organized and communicate clients' requests and updates on one platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Monday is a great way to keep track of daily, weekly, monthly tasks. Monday makes it very easy to communicate with your team and stay organized.

The most user friendly AND the most customizable task management system!

  • August 27, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I think the possibilities are just amazing. I'm not the most technically wired but after the tutorials, I felt like I could create a customized automated system for anyone! I work administration for multiple companies, including my own, and it's so fluid to operate and see everything I need in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't handle the billing aspect of it but from what I know smaller businesses may have harder time finding a plan that's right for them and not paying for features they don't use. For instance, I'm a PA for a self-employed business leadership coach and the plans available for just 1 consultant, and a PA is more than budgeted and also pays for up to 5 users I believe? We wouldn't need that much where the business is at currently, but the benefits monday.com brings is essential. Any way to find a better solution?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to have multiple apps running different tasks. Between calendar, team project management, work log reports, and customer profile management it does everything in one place. We're solving the communication barrier between teams!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! Don't try to figure it out on your own at first, the tutorials are laid out faster and will answer all of your questions.

Best Project Management Tool

  • August 06, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
i like the sub task addition as it helps me in dividing a bigger task into smaller sub tasks and managing is much more easier. Moreover, the time tracking feature is great in analyzing the estimation provided by a developer and actual hours tracked. This gives me an insight to see how the developers are performing in their tasks.
Filter is also a great feature and it helps filtering based on number of options. It is the tool that I use everyday. Without its use, its impossible for me to track down the projects. Also, integrating the automation is also great which helps me get notifications for example, whenever a task is near to a review date I added an automation to get the notification 3 days ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
On mobile application the Activity Log is not available. It should also be available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me in seeing the daily tasks which are going to be live on a particular day. Earlier I used to do it through excel sheets and use filters over there. Monday.com has greatly solved this issue of managing excel sheet.

Honestly, the real benefit is the sanity check

What do you like best about the product?
If you're like me, and you get asked 'what's the team up to', even though you:

a) work remotely and have barely any contact with your team

b) are in no position of authority whatsoever so the team has no reason to answer to you

c) are generally disorganised yourself

Monday is a great answer.

Sure it's powerful, drag and drop, integrations, yadda yadda, but that's not what makes it special.

Everyone knows - THEY KNOW - these systems only work if they're adhered to. Otherwise, it's window dressing.

What makes Monday great is that it's engaging.

It's got colours, and little celebrations, and it doesn't require much thought.

And if they want to use it, then you've won the most crucial battle. All the other things - how you use it, when, what updates mean etc, is icing.

So if you want something the team will buy into so you can answer 'what's everyone doing,' choose Monday.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't on Monday, but if you want to get the full power of the engine, you need someone looking after it and setting it up. Your basics can be covered (even by a chimp like me), but for the full scope, you need a project manager tweaking it, optimising it etc.

For your small teams, not an issue. For your big teams, or inter-team work, get someone who's sole focus is team coordination and delivery through Monday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-team coordination. Everyone knows their responsibility for what's going on now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Again: small business, go for gold. Easy enough to set up.

Larger business: train someone to use this and optimise with it.

We love Monday.com

  • June 26, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to route projects and track progress. It makes working with projects much more efficient and fruitful. The upsides of Monday.com is that you can easily route tasks to users and complete them with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the automation was easier to use and wasn’t charged per automation because it hinders our ability to be 100% productive. However, we still find ways to be able to automate without using their form of automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn’t have visibility to projects before using Monday.com. We were writing our projects on a whiteboard, and it was incredibly inefficient. Our leadership team couldn't see which projects had been marked as complete and which had not. In essence, Monday.com gave us the visibility and structure we were hoping for as a Marketing Team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When looking at software, I would recommend looking for the products that best fit your team's needs. You can make Monday.com as robust or as easy as you need it to be. For our team, we are a newer marketing group, so we are still trying to figure out what we need in terms of transparency and collaboration. This works best for us because we were able to make it super simple and add automation along the way.

    Computer Software

Awful, clunky software

  • December 08, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The colors are fine. Customer service is friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app feels like it was written by interns in 2003.
- Slow and bloated (more than a few comments = always loads all of them resulting is super slow load times)
- Search doesn't search everything, just the titles of stuff (need to search for something you put in a comment or description? Too bad... this is 100% inexcusable)
- Notifications are not intuitive causing you to miss notices
- Interface is illogical and convoluted; like someone thought "What if we tried to copy Asana but didn't do any user testing or hire a professional UX team"
- Keyboard shortcuts that they chose are the same as some browser keyboard shortcuts. Highlighting the URL in Chrome is CMD+L, but if you do that while on Monday.com it loads the 'logs' ... worst of all, it loads the logs in such a way that you can't use your back button to go back to the previous page, and closing the logs doesn't return you to the previous page, so you basically lost whatever screen you were on with no way to recover it other than to try and remember the title and search for it.

I mean, just mind numbingly annoying stuff. Anyone who has used Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or others will not like this software as it is miles and miles behind those products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have to work on Monday.com because one of our clients uses it. Our whole team hates it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't walk, but run to Asana, Basecamp, Trello, and other options that are lightyears better than this product.
