Simplistic yet gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface and very user friendly. Was up and running in no time. Provides real time reporting. It is great to see the company has new releases coming out to always stay ahead. Looking for ways to be more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be good to have a chat function to assist with any questions. The search box is helpful, but would be good to have a customer service representative at the tip of your finger when questions arise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to run timesheets and see where the most time is spent between departments and business units has been very helpful. I like to see the separation to see where the most time has been spent. This program has streamlined the timecard process and provides a great snapshot of the daily and weekly tasks.

If you are unsure...do the trial and see if it works for you.
Great All Purpose Software
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Sage Intaact is the duplicate feature for invoices. It makes things a lot easier when you're putting in an invoice that is similar. Instead of digging around and looking for the right account to journal it to, you can pull up the previous entry and update the numbers. I also like the easy excel export. It comes in handy a lot. We use excel a lot for things such as month end reconciliation and checking different invoices when they're needed to be paid. Being able to just export it right from Sage Intaact is helpful in making that process easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Sage is when you're searching for a vendor you have, it has to be identical to the vendor name or you won't find it. Often times I've found myself struggling to find a vendor because maybe it requires a space between two words or it uses "&" instead of "and".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wouldn't say there are problems that are being solved by using Sage. What I will say is that Sage makes it easier to invoice payables, record receivables and pay expenses all in one place. Connecting it to your bank and having controls in place to help combat any fraud is really good. It helps make audits a little bit easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implement it with other systems that you use. It helps to make the process seamless and easier. Less reliance on humans and more reliance on technology to help you check for any potential imbalances.
Its a very thought out system
What do you like best about the product?
I like the features of the top-level where you can control Jornal entries for all entities in one place if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there is no way to automatically download Credit card transactions from there sites. Like Amex or visa

The fact that making reports has never been easier. i like the simplicity of the system. its well thought out

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user-friendly the whole system is. Everything is right where you would want or need it to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of that I don't like is regarding the hierarchy of the parent / job relationship. When you load the Jobs screen, it automatically sets up in the hierarchy. If you want to turn off the hierarchy, you have to go to the All menu, uncheck the box, then go back to the view you want. Each click, it takes a little while to reload. So with all the clicks, it takes a significant amount of time to turn off the hierarchy view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've tried several different softwares for Accounting, and none would do what we needed it to do. Sage Intacct seems to cover everything we need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very user-friendly. The reporting tools are phenomenal. It's by far one of the best accounting systems I have used.

Too many steps to log in. Too many steps to log in.

Giving multiple people access to reports in a timely manner

What do you like best about the product?
The learning curve was not that high and it is very user friendly. I appreciate how easily it is to import data into the software, without hand-keying the information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could duplicate a regular journal entry and make it recurring. I also wish I could setup recurring bills with posting dates different from the ledger date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage solves all of the accounting needs for my company. It is beneficial in ensuring all of our information is recorded, and helps improve productivity due to its ease of use.
Great system with all the checks and balances!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the controls of the system. There are few systems for small business' that allow for the controls without a hefty price tag.
What do you dislike about the product?
The report writing could be more user friendly and more dynamic. Even making adjustments to the rows and columns of a report can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started with this system, so I wouldn't say we are solving any problems. But the benefits that we realize are separation of duties easily, detailed data availability and fast processing with our system integrations.
Robust yet intuitive system
What do you like best about the product?
I love the customizability of the system and how you can mold it to fit your organization. I also love how intuitive and clean it is; I don't mind working in it every day. The contracts module is super robust and meets all of our ASC606 needs. The financial reporting module is great. We are able to tag and track details at the transactional level, and all of that can be brought into financial reports, sliced and diced in different ways to better display the data, and really helps us provide useful and meaningful information to our business leaders. Another great thing about Intacct is it seamlessly integrates with so many other platforms. This also helps with automation and we can spend our time as accountants on more meaningful tasks than things that are mundane
What do you dislike about the product?
There is limited training, so a lot of it is just learning on the fly. The help center is great and I enjoy researching and learning that way, but there have been a few times I wish I had known of more efficient ways of doing something before heading down the less efficient path. Other than that I don't have any other complaints
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ASC606, automation of manual tasks, the ability to tag and track at the transaction level allows us the ability to build reports and provide meaningful information to business leaders. We have realized so much benefit from all of these factors and it really has allowed us to scale
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Armanino for implementation and they were a great help to us. Also be sure to check out the marketplace and see all the other vendors that have partnered with Intacct. You might already be using a product that integrates with Intacct

The reporting is fine but not going to alter your world from a Finance perspective. They have a SaaS dashboard you can use but it doesn't look all that good but the content is alright.
The recurring report and memorized reporting tabs are better than competitors.
Easy integration with Salesforce, albeit not as flexible as it can be but I foresee this changing over the course of time.

At times the customer services is lacking - we experienced a significant issue with the environment due to a new update release for over a month that stalled our entire operation. They fixed it eventually, but only after some 30 days.
The model we use isn't optimized for Intacct which creates friction in processes and procedures.
Setting up reports and a reporting infrastructure can be a little clunky at first but once you have the knowledge and done it once or twice you will find ways to optimize.
The rollup for departments could be easier to manage and rearrange.
The rules of users are not always clear and you will have to find the right mix through trial and error.

Scaling up as a company, we needed more sophisticated software and features than what QuickBooks and SaaSOptics offered. Intacct rolled those into a single environment for contracts, ASC 606, invoicing, etc. We definitely are better with Intacct than prior.

Get a thorough understanding of the day-to-day using Intacct because that can be more onerous than the demo(s) will show.
