I would consider them using Intacct for having medium sized business. It's like mini SAP.

What do you like best about the product?
It's multi-dimension set up and customized reporting utilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The error messages while Import doesn't give us fullest information which is many a times a frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

If you requirement high end accounting with multiple dimensions and reporting requirements. Intacct will not let you down.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily trace back transactions and entries. Also Revenue Recognition module.
What do you dislike about the product?
Voiding checks/reversing AP can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The revenue recognition feature with its automatic reminders and deferrals has really helped us. We can get accurate entries and they are easy to correct if necessary. We were using an Excel spreadsheet prior to Intacct RevRec.

What do you like best about the product?
Being cloud based makes it usable on many different devices and location is not an issue. lots of options for running reports and organizing data. Since all of it is managed in one software we are less reliant of compatibility with other software. Import and export of data makes transfer of large amounts of data easy and quick
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation can be confusing at time and the utilization of fields not working or carrying through. No proper place for tracking equipment and utilization. which can make it almost impossible to know what equipment was being used and by who. amount of users able to perform certain actions is limited and can be bottlenecked at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a service contractor in the Oil and Gas Industry and need to track/charge for different types of equipment sometimes multiple pieces per employee and there is no way of tying those assets together and the invoice detail is lacking. so we are constantly have to go back to the physical documents to verify information and should be able to be found in Intacct. We have to track all of our equipment like it is an employee and are not really using the software as it was intended because there is no equipment tracking module that would allow for us to simplify this
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that it has all the features you need and utilize a good training program. A lot of out users were not given a compete training program making implementation much more difficult than it needed to be. Because we did not have a complete

What do you like best about the product?
System can generate entries automatically for subscription deals once I entered start and end dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike: limitation on contract model.

Recommendations:
1. It will be better if additional function can be added in contract model for revenue recognition purpose, such as the ability to split revenue amount for partial delivery, and undelivered products.
2. Add function for maintenance and support carve out associated with the licenses delivered.
3. Revenue catch up function for serviced has been provided and PO received few months later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I review GL, I just need to lick on the number I would like to do research, all details are popped up in a separate window. I can have view on both.

What do you like best about the product?
I only use intact to fill up the timesheet and it seems to be working fine for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I haven't noticed anything wrong until now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am filling timesheets in my company.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use, it can be configured to big and small companies. It helps to follow best practices on the time tracking activities. It can be used with approval workflows for accountability. The UI is clean and easy to understand, also it can be configured. I like it can be branded because it improves the perception of internal tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
A mobile app it's a must nowadays. The lack of an app it's definitely a issue for mobility. An iOS app or Android app would help the users to track their time more easily and on the move, right now the need for a network connection and the UI that does not work well on mobile devices something to consider if you are looking for a solution that offers mobility. Another point to consider is that there's no API offered so the application cannot be extended on integrated to other internal tools. When something is not configured correctly, it can be hard to find the root cause.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Intacct for tracking timesheets & time approval, and for expenses. We use also reports, this way we can send detailed reports to customers and for internal use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good option for mid-businesses. It can be used for large teams but also works in small teams. I like that offers features to each type of user. From normal users to admin users. Also the reporting is clean and can be shared with customers.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing is that it's easy to use for someone who is not on the accounting team. I haven't had any technical issues and find intacct easy and simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides since it serves its purpose pretty well. The one thing I don't like is if I've entered in all my information for a purchase requisition and I go to change the item ID for the item line, it erases the amounts I have entered. This can be tricky to fix, so you have to be extra careful to complete the item ID correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intacct has been helpful to look up payments to vendors in the past. When I first started my job, I looked through payments we had made to partners in the past years when I wasn't with the company to better understand the project I was working on.

A fairly intuitive and user friendly platform

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easily laid out and can be used quickly, particularly if you're a new employee. I appreciate the clear financial reporting features that allow you to track spending across months, quarters. As someone who manages individual projects with large budgets, having this ability is vital for project management purposes. The purchasing feature/process simple to use and if you have recurring payments to specific vendors there are functions you can use to copy purchase requisitions to quickly submit. I also appreciate the ability to drill down to the GL to understand where/when expenses are hitting certain accounts - this allows for a more nuanced understanding of project expenditures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the user experience and functionality could be updated that could streamline certain processes, particularly in the purchasing platform. Certain features such as having manually uploading files to purchase requisitions could be amended to have a drag and drop feature in order to streamline. Additionally, if incorrect files have been uploaded, it's difficult to simply add or replace them without having to undergo the entire submission process again. Overall, however, these are small issues that do not take away from the overall experience with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing Intaact to solve internal issues related to financial data and tracking for auditing purposes. Benefits are that information is easy to access to assist with processes such as these. We specifically use the Purchasing processes to identify when specific PRs have been paid out to ensure our

Great system

What do you like best about the product?
I like the cost center manager dashboard, it allows me to manage budgets easily and effectively. I also use the purchase requisition function which is extremely useful. I have been using Intacct for four years now, which has given me time to learn how to best use the system. Because of this I find it indispensable to my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of time to learn the system. However once you do it is worth it. I would say things get easier as you use them. Additionally, as I have used intacct over the years it has gotten much better and I am happier with the services every year. I would say some of the updates have changed the system drastically and tutorials would help me learn these new updates more quickly. I dislike not being able to submit a PR with multiple class codes. This can be quite frustrating when I am processing reimbursements or consultant payments for those working on multiple projects. Additionally, I would think this feature would smooth out the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is much easier to manager budgets across multiple programs. I have definitely increased my efficiency through using this wonderful dashboard and I am very happy with the extensive services it offers. I would also say I am solving inefficiency by eliminating the need for outside tracking software, because I can manage everything in the system .
