Sage Intacct is the best for multiple businesses the ease of cloud is really helpful
What do you like best about the product?
The automation feature posting revenue automatically every month is a ease we just setup and sales is posted automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bank re-authorization after few months for automated banks

We have multiple business with different locations we can see them in one click
A game changer for Accounting Packages
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of navigating through the menu, the many options to ensure that straight of the box - it caters for our business requirements and needs. We implemented the purchase order side and it was seamless - testing in the sandbox was a great help and the support from the team was great! This is a system that our team use daily so it was important and we had something that was the right 'fit'.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been some parts of our procurement process that didnt integrate with the system, but it wasnt anything that meant we couldnt still continue as a business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We never used to have a purchase order policy, we have now been able to implement this. The ease of knowing that someone can raise a PR/PO and have this approved and goods recieved so that the invoice could be processed has been a great help not only for the Finance team, but the extended departments in the business.

- cannot open a vendor and view all bills/invoices under that vendor.
- cannot go "back" a screen, have to click into the menu again to navigate.
- cannot view all bills on one screen, it only shows 20 per page.

Clear hierarchy of general ledger accounts
Clear chain of approval including approval limits
All postings instantly show in reports rather than having to do an overnight refresh, etc

Manufacturing and inventory functions are limited

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sage Intacct to raise and approve purchase transactions, manage inventory transactions and to allocate payments and receipts. It is also used to provide key financial reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet, General Ledger, Trial Balance etc which allows us to reconcile our accounts.
Additionally, we make use of the Fixed Asset Tool within Intacct to post depreciation and maintain the fixed asset register.
Finally, we have built some ad-hoc custom reporting for business analysis purposes, such as committed spend, profitability analysis, etc.

Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is easy to use and get around. Reports are easy to run and have multiple options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I don't like that it opens new windows when doing certain tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing me to quickly run reports, which saves times and makes it efficient. Can have one report with multiple accounts makes it beneficial.
Learning With Ease
What do you like best about the product?
Sage is very easy to navigate. A simple click and I'm right where I need to be.

I wish there were more fields available that allows certain/more files to be exported

The use of exporting and uploading our payables. The communication between our financial instution and Sage.
Sage Intacct STB Review
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is a user friendly tool that for us, accountants, is very intuitive and straight forward. I have been using this software for about 7-8 years now and I really like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a better interaction with some other softwares that can help us in other areas of the business. It will be nice to have absorve the capabilities that SalesForce has and some of the Procore. Something that is similar to SAP but less complicated. Basically, I would like to have one source for a middle-size company that can integrate every single aspect of the business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage gives us a broad view of our financials in a very single way. Its reports are vey straight forward and useful.

Inflexible; Too complicated; No native payroll module.
One of the biggest complaints relates to our operation as a not-for-profit in which we basically have one main department for revenue, but several departments that only have expenses. The inability to differentiate between a department/location code for the balance sheet side of an AP entry and the expense side caused a ton of headaches.

We initially moved over to Sage Intacct because support for Dynamics GP was ending.
Great platform for Financial Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
The platforms sophisticated financial reporting offers users a clear view of their financial performance. Tracking essential metrics empowers businesses to make informed, data-backed decisions.

There is a significant amount to learn/navigate, and it's important to recognize that not everything can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems/processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage is addressing the challenges of manual invoice submission and ensuring invoices are categorized accurately into the appropriate buckets.
A worthwhile transistion from Quickbooks
What do you like best about the product?
My organization transitioned away from Quickbooks to Sage Intaact in 2024. Like all major software transitions, it took many team hours to complete. That being said, my only regret was not making the transition to Safe Intaact sooner. Versus Quickbooks, Sage Intaact is a far more robust software. Some of my favorite features include maintaining approval governance in system and being able to attach backup documentation to entries. Another nice feature is the dashboard, which non-accounting users find helpful and easy to read and the ability to send reports over email automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Coming from Quickbooks, Sage is a far more expansive software, and it comes with a steep learning curve - especially since, unlike Quickbooks, Sage will maintain control, meaning that you can't simply "delete" incorrect entries.
My advice is to just stick with it. A few months in, our team got the hang of it.

Sage Intaact is allowing us to send reports and financial data to non-financial users on a faster basis. Sage is also allowing us to maintain accounting control in system, versus relying on email threads or signatures on documents.
