Apple Systems Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful Apple endpoint management tool with wide adoption, an active community, and great training resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality control on Jamf Pro updates has been extremely poor over the past 3-5 years. It seems each release tends to introduce more and more bugs that increasingly impact environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device onboarding and software deployment, compliance controls, patch management, etc. Jamf Pro handles the majority of our IT operations around Apple Macs and Mobile Devices.
Jamf Connect: Perfect for lab environments
What do you like best about the product?
Each student can sit down at any computer running Jamf Connect and log on with their Entra ID credentials. It will create a local account for the student if one doesn't yet exist, and then sync their Entra ID password with the local account. The just-in-time account creation makes this product perfect in lab enviornments where you do not know ahead of time who will need to log onto the computer.
Another awesome feature is the ability to customize the login window completely. You can create a polished, professional, branded login window that really looks good. It's awesome to have the school's name and logo right there where everyone logs on.
Jamf provides a great utility to help you implement the product. It's very easy, especially if you also use Jamf Pro! If you don't have Entra ID, it can integrate with other identity providers such as Okta or Google.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have with it (and this is not Jamf's fault, it's an Apple limitation) is if you have enabled FileVault, there will be two logins when you turn the computer on. You will first need to unlock the hard drive with the FileVault password, then enter your Entra ID credentials. It is for this reason that I mostly use it for lab environments or other shared desktops.
The double login only occurs after a restart, so it's not really that much of an inconvenience to be honest.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives you the ability to seamlessly log onto the local computer with Entra ID or other IdP credentials.
Jamf Pro Is Great
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is an easy to use yet very powerful MDM solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the newer features that have been introduced do not use some of the scoping criteria, like multiple Smart Groups, that make Jamf Pro so powerful to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is used to manage out fleet of Apple devices, both MacBooks and iPads.
Jamf Pro is a great MDM to use for your Mac devices.
What do you like best about the product?
Prestage enrollments are pretty smooth and patch management are great features. I''m in it everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was better integrations with IDPs; that way we can implement push groups easier, better way to integrate smart/static groups so we can scope apps, policies, and configuration profiles in a more smooth matter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is solving lots of MDM issues that we've had previously and implementing prestage enrollments for when we have to redeploy or purchase new devices.
Jamf Pro for the Pro's
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is fairly intuitive to use and makes normally tedious tasks simple. Imagine manually deploying 10 Mac's... Now imagine building various configurations and policies that does all the hard work for you while not even needing to unbox the device. You can simply have it shipped directly to the user and their hand is held as they start it up. Integrating with Jamf is also easy though we currently don't take advantage of most of the tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tasks are a little difficult to perform, but with each itteration/upgrade these are becoming less and less.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to deploy devices in mass while still ensuring the appropriate security tools are in place.
Jamf Pro Is An Excellent Offering
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is very comprehensive, highly complex endpoint device management system. It allows a dedicated admin the ability to craft policies, configurations, settings, accounts, etc with a minimum of fuss. One of the things differentiating Jamf from other similar offerings is the Jamf binary, as it allows management of items not covered by Apple policies... essentially Jamf offers a tighter integration into the OS itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud instances are of course highly dependent upon a number of variables, and quality of service can be hugely impacted by enterprises choosing not to follow vendor guidance re: ports/protocols.
The initial ramp-up can be a bit daunting as there's a bit of a learning curve. The cloud portal could be a bit cleaner as well, as there's a lot of clicking around. Certain functions could very well be consolidated.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro allows us to quickly onboard and managed Apple mobile devices in a primarily Windows-centric enterprise. It allows us to very, very nearly replicate the policies implemented by our AD teams, manage AD creds, auth to VPN/other corporate resources, map drives.
Great way to ensure peace of mind
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to use its profiles and extensive search functionality in order to ensure our student ipads are correctly configured and manged. Also really like the interface design, its very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing i dislike about it is how sometimes it tends to lose connection to some devices over time, and its a real pain to get it back talking to Jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping us solve the problem of managing thousands of ipads and hundreds Mac devices all at once. Meaning that our staf and students can learn and do their job effectiveley without interruption.
Taking Control of your Apple Fleet with Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro has really helped our company customize and take complete control of the Macbooks and iPads in our fleet. The integration with Apple Business Manager makes remote device enrollment a breeze, so we can automatically add new devices to prestage enrollments as soon as we procure them. We also don't have to provide as much support to end-users during enrollment, because the majority of the process is completed for them during automated device enrollment.
Manual and tedious processes have become much easier, and Jamf provides great documentation to allow for easy implementation and customization. I'd definitely recommend Jamf Pro to any company small or large as their main resource for managing Apple devices.

What do you dislike about the product?
Something I don't like about Jamf Pro is the layout of certain resources. A lot of resources are found under the Settings tab, which can be a bit counterintuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping manual processes become more automated, and in turn, saving our IT team a ton of time. We don't have to configure individual device's settings one by one anymore, and we can monitor and manage security settings all in one place.
The best but still room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
It's head and shoulders the best MDM for Macs. Tons of customization available between packages, profiles and scripts to install exactly what you want and how you want to. Our customer service team is very responsive and is always one call away.
What do you dislike about the product?
Changes to the backend of Configuration Profiles to support new features and provide a better experience take a while to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring Macs are secure with our security software stack and that our MSB is enforced.
Day 0 Support, much appreciated
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Protect just catches the things we miss. It has helped get our compliance to a consistent standard. I also love the integration with Jamf Pro and how easy it is to remediate issues. Also enjoyed that we could click a button and have the configuration profiles to setup new endpoint just show up in Jamf Pro. Made implementation very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The anti-virus definitions aren't updated as frequently as other EDR tools. The analytics are hard to update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security insights about our devices.
